Coming from Norfolk, Virginia, Bink! is a Grammy winning Hip Hop producer who is noted for his work with Roc-A-Fella Records artists. His most high-profile work has been the Jay-Z critically acclaimed album The Blueprint, for which he produced three tracks. His discography also includes Drake, J Cole, Nipsey Hussle, Rick Ross, and Kanye West.

Bink got that signature conga drum pattern or whatever you wanna call it, and its always on insane pocket. Check The ruler's back, All I need, and Momma Loves Me on the Blueprint album.
He is so damn good. His beats always have a pocket for the MC. They make you want to rap over it.

@@m16imsofly Dr. Dre was doing LIVE drums and key boards and pianos in 88-89 with the first NWA projects. Colin Wolfe, Stan the Guitar Man and Big Bass Brian was churning out heat with Dre at the helm. Wouldn’t say Bink was the first to do it tho. Respectfully.
He underrated as hell...but it's always funny when he gets on his ish about blaze biting/,jacking his style. Bink and Ross made some bangers. I Made an ep outta it a few years ago

Kurupt tryology 1 of the greatest tracks in hip hop ever. The rhymes the beat the hiphopness 😂. Still a wobbler nearly 25 years later 💯.
I know Bink got bangers but I actually have no idea he did some of these ones..U-God's "Bizarre" caught me off gaurd.
Even if Just Blaze did bite, jacked (was inspired by) Bink's style, listening to these beats I think it is possible to distinguish their sounds. Just Blaze is more aggressive with the live drums. Freeway's What We Do is a perfect example of Just Blaze's sound, i dont think you can mix that up with any of the beats here.

Stole seems strong. Inspired or influenced by seems more appropriate. Bink was also inspired by a someone else's style. Remember no idea is truly original, everyone is reacting to something that already exisits. In fact any producer that samples shouldn't be too quick accuss someone else of stealing their style since their style is 'stealing' from exisiting music and reintorpolating it. @@Gnadab

Very much true you can definitely hear the similarities but you can also tell the distinctive differences with like you said Just Blaze beats being more agressive with the drums
