@@misterman6691fs even though I love the college dropout a lot of his drums just sound stiff on that project and on his old beats in general. Just blazes drums are some of the best ever in hip hop. He fooled questlove into thinking the drums he programmed were played live. Kanye’s beats not really focused on percussion usually so the final sound ends up working

Blaze was a copycat but my god was he amazing at ripping off other styles. He created some of the greatest Jay beats.
I don't know man....respect to YE's comments but u can't just throw Blaze like that. All the producers mentioned are dope AF. In hip-hop (especially a sample heavy genre) it's ok to learn/hear things from other dope producers and add your twist. Our favorite rappers been doing it 4ever, that's what makes hiphop so beautiful man. A lot of what we call "hate" is really just showing mad luv. It's all how u look at & process it. If 'Ye has never took something he saw or heard & put his twist on it....we wouldn't have gotten many of the diamonds he gave us! IYKYK , LOVE ✌️!

When I first heard “song cry” back in the day I just knew Kanye did that beat lol I was shocked it wasn’t him. But blaze sound more like bink than Kanye.
You can tell Kanye didn't produce Song Cry just by the drums. Kanye's drums never hit as hard as Just Blaze's.

Just Blaze is underrated, however Kanye not lying when he said he was a copy cat. If you listen to Song Cry, Just used the same exact sound as Kanye tht you couldn’t even tell who made tht track. However 2001-2004 era put a lot of pressure on producers to come up with similar sounds due to artists wanting the same sound. Only Timbaland n The Neptunes probably was being “original” in terms of the quality, due to them always working with different genres.
Blaze is an amazing producer.... while Kanye has more bangers than Jus Blaze...Blaze hits hit really really hard and when it hit it is epic. Like one of just blaze hit songs can equal to like three or five of Kanye hits.

Aside from the Blueprint comments, why would Kanye throw Just Blaze under the bus since Just Blaze produced the classic track, "Touch the Sky" featuring Lupe Fiasco, for Late Registration? If anything, Just Blaze helped Ye get platinum off of that single, damn shame. Both Ye and Just Blaze were in my top 10 favorite producers, and only Just Blaze is still on my list

Take jay-z for example his verses counts him a writer even though hes drop a verse without a pen, sometimes he use big lines and cadences, thats interpolation, thats counts them as writer, his use of samples counts them as writer, his features and hooks counts them as writers,, production counts them as writer, co-production counts them as writer,. That dont mean Jay-z use ghostwriters or writers per-se. Thats the business of songwriting. Sometimes a song can have various of version from the original skeletal idea, anyone involved with the process can be counted as writer too. Thats called songwriting. Do your research. kid.
@@abstudio24 Yeah but Kanye actually has ghostwriters who do reference tracks, that’s his process now. He creates mumble demos where he just mumbles on the beat and then the reference writers make verses and he uses those verses. Do YOUR research
