Love seeing this beautiful machine at work, just amazing how it sounds and so ahead of it’s time. You can see why this synth is still around and working, because of the quality in it build. Cheers! Lots of nostalgic sounds there for sure. I was just thinking how hard it was back then to do, and how easy it would be today to create similar sounds and how actually simple those sounds were. DM was super inventive in their sound design.

The Emulator II keeps being an excellent machine nowadays (always the power supply doesn't bother. Stephen Morris (New Order) said that one could not ever know if it would work or behave properly when switching it on 🙂)

Vince Clarke has said in various interviews that he used a Juno 60, ARP2600, Pro One, Jupiter 4, TR808, Roland MC4 sequencer on Upstairs at Erics.

@@retrosound72 Ich kann Dir das sogar begründen! Habe das studiert.Unter 32 Bit gibt es nichts…was man Analog nachbilden kann. Treppen Effekt.
Aber viele Leute können nich höhere Mathematische Höhren. Schade ☹️
