I appreciate your utter commitment to achieving "Nerdvana"; there's no way I can stay up as late as you did given my age.
In a more serious sense, this was good work. I hope you have the chance to revise & reformat your DDO forum breakdowns, as I always like using your individual build analysis posts to consider & focus my own plans.
Appreciate you pumping this out overnight, absolute legend! Hope your day is as awesome as it can be.
The devil works fast but strimtom works faster. XD
Thanks!
i froth at the mouth waiting for this vid every time a hc season is coming out. i love them. mad hearts, strim (thumbs up emote)
Honestly, didn't think you'd put one out for this season! I was debating being a rogue or a stormsinger if I played this season, so. I see you have two build options i can steal from! XD
@Maggini's Adventures Strim put out a Palemaster Trapper build for Season 6 that lets you trap and self heal. Probably that? I bet it'd still be good for this season Make sure to note the updates and take a combat style over toughness though.
TBH though, I wonder if self healing will be as big this season. With the Reaper bonus, people might choose to run reaper more.
Thanks for the nice builds!! :-)
Oh yessss! Didnt even know HC7 was starting next week! Like Christmas came early! :D
Strimtom, Update 57 notes state: "You can only have one Imbue active at a time. Turning on a new Imbue will turn the existing Imbue off. " AFAIK [thought] every bonus damage source is now considered as an IMBUE. If I'm wrong, I would be very happy.
Not every damage source. The patch notes specifically state which ones are becoming imbues.
The reaper cloak from HC2 still doesn't work on a lot of accounts unless in very specific circumstances. I can't see it on a toon unless it's a dragonborn
I noticed you hadn't mention the Tiefling's imbue being broken still, have you heard anything about this?
Here we go again 🙄🦋✨
Bladeforge1/stormsinger 19 whit shield but more point in epic talents for shouting healing. 😜
Starting stat adjustments for 28pts for the Inquisitive build? Less STR and CON? I suppose can't drop any of WIS (main stat), INT (trapping) and DEX (feat prereqs)?
nice one :)
Do the warsoul ranged attacks work with inquisitive? I saw a guy last season who was a inquisitive and had divine intervention on his character. You could get more hitpoints with medium armour from divine champion if you did that this season.
You can do this, it is just that your damage will suck at endgame. So better for levelling, worse for R4s at cap.
Something to note with caster druids in water form is increased damage from horrid wilting. While spell absorption at endgame deals with this. In early epics even on elite. A failed save can result in instant death due to lack of EHP from past lives. This is not me saying druid is a bad option, just making a point.
Yea, exactly. This is actually my build - strim improved it a bit - but I played it last season. The spell absorb is for this exact reason. I didn't have too much trouble on epics, but I was also very careful to CC pretty much every spellcaster when leveling. I would really suggest staying out of reaper mode until you have spell absorb though because a single famine reaper could be your doom.
Do you have any recs for skills on the Druid? They're just 0's all the way through on the forum build, I think in error. You only get 2 points per level, so I figured I'd keep Heal at max, then mostly spellcraft with some concentration? But wasn't sure if you had other plans or if it didn't matter much.
Heal and spellcraft. Concentration won't matter since you will be running quicken almost all the time anyway and quicken makes your spells unable to be interrupted. I'll updated the forums.
@@Strimtom Thanks, Strim!
about ranger don't you get two wepon by lvl and can get bouns hp from there? at least some of it...
hi I played on argo few years ago need to do an alchemist life and a raid ready paladin... half-elf or bladeforge single weapon 🔨 he was2wf with hammers lol but heard they got a buff? Hilmir Hansson is my toon on argo... jinu and purkilius
Druid Caster: I noticed that the 5th core from Shifter wasn't taken which is imho [very humbly] a mistake... dump the 1 AP into Wolf tree (Nature's Warrior) for 8 less health and take the Shifter 5th core for regenerate rages [shift charges] as in epics this is what you want running 100% of the time.
You have about 15 minutes of shifting with the set up I posted, and dungeons don't take 15 minutes on a druid.
@@Strimtom I cannot fault your logic.
The first build, I’m struggling to figure out what the ring on the left, the goggles, the cloak, and a few other items are. Are they new items? Do I need to update my builder again?
The cloak is from ravenloft, so if you don't have that one you definitely need to update the builder lol
The ring is from isle of dread which released in june.
The goggles are from temple of elemental evil which was revamped in august.
Is the HP for combat feats a new thing in the game or something I never knew about?
New, came in the last patch
Awesome guide, thank you! Do you provide the XML files for the DDO Builder?
Yes, you can find them in my discord. discord.gg/7nCH3KN9
@@Strimtom Thank you! Love the content you create!
whaaaat season 7!!???!?!?!
Really like the Fun Tank. Any chance for a brainstorm for a toon like this with evasion/improved evasion and dodge cap?
Replace the paladin with sacred fist for dodge cap and evasion, plus get core 3 of shadow dancer for improved evasion
The problem with exchanging heavy armour [armor?] for dodge greatly reduces both PRR and MRR which is counter intuitive for a tank. I ran a Shadar-Kai version of Strimtom's orignal Fun Tank, so Paladin 18 Wizard 1 Rogue 1... you could spend some cash and buy a lesser Heart of Wood +1 and remove the rogue level. 11 AP into Shadar-Kai {I went 17 AP to grab the 2nd chain attack) grabs you perma free Displacement which is frightenly good as an extra protective layer. You can also get Displacement by rolling an Elf Fun Tank for 12 AP and one feat (Dragonmark) but I wouldn't do that. Last note, if I ran the SDK fun tank again, I would exchange Fighter for WIzard for free Tower Shield Proficiency.
You never quite explained why you take a level of fighter and wizard in the tank build. My best guess is for the 2 bonus feats? But are those 2 extra toughness feats better than the Sacred Defender capstone?
The level of wizard is for access to the wizard enhancements (+10% AC from EK and some bonus HP from PM)
Huh, I expected cleric to be luck domain for not failing will saves on a 1 and turning into a gold statue. Did he address that and I missed it?
He seems to get no-will at 20-21 or so, from EA. So 6-7 levels later than he would get it with luck domain
@@nixorchannel1515 aha. Thanks
Can't wait to play the rougi bardi warlock now that soloing doesnt equal death when theres no groups around!
Hounds were nasty.
Wut? it's already s7 time? :O
cleric build has too few points. guessing you take from CHA and STR.
Just came back after 7 years. I assume these builds work for the racial TR grind. I'm just planning on working on the racial past lives.
They won't be super fast like a normal racial TR build, but yes anything built to survive hardcore should be fine for the TR grind.
@@Skenjin I guess I need to look up some of those builds. Thank you
@@sharnath5282 Starting with one of these is likely a good idea though, simply because it will be strong overall in a way that will more easily let you relearn the game.
Having said that he does have a few of these videos so other than some that will have to be changed due to updates, there is a good variety.
No hounds? Hounds sucked.
Nope, just new champions that were used in HC2. No hounds
you talk too fast
You can change the video speed by clicking the gear at the bottom right of the video, so if I am too fast just slow me down to 0.75 speed!
