This Thai curry is incredibly easy to make and it tastes even better than take out. Give it a try! Happy Sunday! 💕
Hi Flo! Just wanted to say I’ve been binge watching your videos all day today. I’m Cantonese, and lived in Vancouver for a few years before moving back to my home in Alberta. It’s so nice to see these recipes from you, they totally match the things I like to eat and I love hearing little tid bits about Vancouver as it brings back memories. Thank you so much for all your videos!
If I want to use my Instant Pot, I’ll follow the seps in sautéed mode for the onions, then add the paste and coconut milk, sautéed further then dump in the rest of ingredients and put it on high for 8 minutes, natural release? Thanks 🙏🏼
This looks so good. Could you add pineapple if you wanted to? If so, what stage would you add it at?
Can I use red curry paste my grocery store didn't have the yellow
i didd try this and yes it was better than takeoutt!! thank youu!❤
Recipe: (Hope I got it all…)
1 lg shallot, sliced into strips
1 lb yellow potatoes, quartered
3 Tbsp yellow curry paste (Roy D (?)
1 can Coconut milk (~2 Tbsp, then the rest of the can)
1 lb chicken, cut into 1.5 inch pieces
1 lb potatoes (yellow?), quartered
1 cup chicken broth (+/-)
2 Tbsp fish sauce
1 Tbsp sugar
Thai basil leaves, 6-8 leaves, chiffonade (thinly sliced)
Rice
4 quart pot, medium heat, Tbsp oil, add shallots. Cook 2-3 minutes to soften.
Add curry paste, then ~ 2+ Tbsp coconut milk. Stir.
Add chicken, cook roughly 3 minutes.
Add potatoes and remaining coconut milk, plus 1 cup chicken both.
Bring to simmer / reduce heat to medium-low.
Cook 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
Add sugar & fish sauce
Serve on rice if desired, sprinkle basil in each bowl
Aroy-D is the brand of coconut milk
And curry paste
Why would you do that ?
@@jamesm9995 why not some people just want the list
This looks so delicious 😋
Can I use curry powder instead? That's just what I have available at the moment.
Guess u could yh
Love love your simple delicious recipes , no faffing about , no waffle , no acting cute , a REAL PERSON XXXXXX
Impressed with this simple recipe and cool laid back presentation.
Best instructions ever! I so appreciate you mentioning substitutions for nearly each ingredient. I'm new to Thai cooking and this was very helpful! Thank you!
I'm thai.. so proud to be Thai for the world wide food. Thai curry is a bout the fish sauce, that's why is delicious
Lol.. enjoy Thai curry guys
I find your recipe much easier and quicker. Instead of chicken I am going to do mine as a vegan curry where I am substituting with tofu and veggies. Vegan stock instead of chicken stock. Cilantro is a must with a bit of Thai basil. Most of all, thank you for sharing this quick curry recipe. There are vegan fish sauce from my local Asian store, so I will definitely try it with that brand. With this recipe I was able to master the taste just like the restaurant. 맛있어요.
YUM, cant wait to try this! You really made it look so easy!
I love curry so much! Thanks for sharing the recipe!
Flo the chef and Dude the taster! Perfect team!
Thank you! This is my go-to video for a reminder on details every time I make it. 💖
What a nice, simple recipe! Thank you!
I lived in Cambodia where we have the very same curries as Thai curries usually less chili. Our curries were served with bean sprout, raw long bean, and peanut as topping along with basil served on rice or a rice noodle or eaten with a french baguette (due to French colonization). Yum I'm going to make this soon.
Sounds SO good!!!
This looks soooo good and simple! Thanks Flo and Dude👌🏿👍🏿
Thanks so much for the easy instructions! Just made it with Tofu broccoli and green pepper. I love that you can use any veggies or protein you want!
Thank you for showing us how to make Thai curry so easily.
Thank you for showing me how to make this. It's my favorite. I'll still get the authentic Thai but thanks for showing me how to do this because I LOVE IT!
Im from the UK and this was the first curry I have ever cooked and I cooked it for my mum and it came out amazing! 😍
Thank you so much! 🙏🏻❤️
As soon as you added the curry paste, you know how good that made the house smell...mmmmm thank you for this amazing dish
Love those pastes Flo!! I use them for Thai and Indian curries. And you are right, they work anywhere. I will even use them in my slow cooker for church potlucks and socials. Everyone loves a good curry and rice!
I'm going to cook this tomorrow. Thanks.
Awesome and looks delicious. Definitely will try to cook and thanks for sharing your recipes.
Thank you! Looks amazing. Exactly what I was looking for.
Flo & Dude! I’m making this today. It looks so comforting.
Definitely gotta try this!!
Hi Flo, Thank you so much for sharing this incredible Yellow Curry Vegetable. My daughter and I love yellow curry and I was thrilled to find your recipe so I could make it at home. I didn’t have any fish sauce, or thai basil, but I put some fresh spinach into the curry. I look forward to watching more of your cooking videos.
Looks marvelous Flo, and you made it look so easy. Thanks to Dude for sacrificing his mouth to taste all the yummy goodness. Have a blessed day.
Thank you for the delicious recipe, Flo. My husband served himself a second helping at dinner this evening- it's a win! 🌶️
This curry looks fantastic! 😍
Love cilantro. 🤗
Looks yummy and not too difficult! Thanks!
Looks great, can't wait to try it out!
Amazing recipe, great 👍
This looks delicious... I will adapting it to a vegetarian recipe... thanks for sharing 👏
My favorite curry. I use the same brand of paste, reminds me of Indian curry especially with the potatoes and the turmeric is good good for you. I typically also sauté ginger, garlic with the onion.
Enjoyed watching your wonderful recipes💞
Today was my first time cooking Thai curry. I followed your recipie and it turned out delicious! Thank you very much for sharing it.
Hi.
I will make this dish for dinner tonight.
Thank for this beautiful recipe.
Yum! I love your recipes
Yes, yes, yes! When the months get colder, I cannot get enough curry. Caribbean, Thai, Malaysian, Indian, or Vietnamese. A bowl of this beautiful creation is the best! Especially when you live in northern Canada!
Looks delicious! 😋
I love curry and rice, I haven't been able to afford to go out so I've been thinking of making it for forever, but I'm not much of a cook so I've been nervous but I've decided to try it tomorrow so I'm really excited! Thanks for the easy to follow tutorial!
Looks delicious.
Thanks for sharing this!
"I'm a happy guy when there's curry and rice..."
Dude, you're not alone! Cheers!
Flo, Dude, both of you make such a great team. Love your videos. Terima kasih! From one Malaysian to another.

Omgosh... this is great, thank you❤❤❤
That look delicious. I'm making it for dinner now.
Thanks for this recipe. I made it yesterday with green curry paste and it was excellent. I will be making this recipe many times in the future.
I am a visual learner and use youtube to help me cook.
Oh my goodness. I just found you.
You two are great together.
I have been trying to make curry recipient's this year. I am so going to make this and a lot of your recepies. Thean you.
I made this recipe from your instant pot recipe, and it was so good. Chicken and egg plant, plus I added butternut squash!! Yummmm
sawadee! I have been making Thai curry dishes since I first went to Thailand(retiring there soon!), Mae Ploy are the pastes I use and give a good authentic flavour. Great recipe and very easy, feeds a lot of people! Thanks!
As a Canadian living abroad, your Canadian accent made me smile 😅 thank you for the recipe
Looks delicious
I love Thai yellow curry it's probably my favorite out of all curries :)
I make this recipe once a month. It’s so delicious!
Dudes always ready and he makes it look so tasty. Yum
I could eat this every day.
Looks yummy! Blessings
So simple , yet so yummy. Thanks for sharing. I really love how easy going you and dude are. Where did you obtain the seeds for Thai basil? I would love to buy.
I have a Staub Dutch oven exactly like yours, and use it a lot. I’m cooking yellow curry beef tonight, but will try your chicken recipe soon 😊
Oh. Looks and sounds so delish. A must subscribe!
Sorry for my english, i'm french speaking... I just discovered your channel and the recipes seem great, simple and easy to prepare. I like it a lot, I subscribe 👍😛👍
I just finished eating dinner of Thai yellow curry and was like super yum, but also expensive for that amount. I look forward to trying this easy recipe. Thanks for posting this.
Love you guys!
I love the way you teach the home cook. I have a local authentic Thai restaurant that I like to get takeout from, but it’s $14.95 for this curry. Ouch! I made your version and it is almost the same-I just need to practice cooking it more often! Thank you!
Awesome, I’ve only had this in take out…..guess what I’m making?
Thankyou Flo and Dude!🤗
Thanks, I am going to make it for my Daughter 🎉
Just made this! I added a bunch of cauliflower as to supplement the potatoes but so good! Ty!
Thank you
Wow! Excellent. Easy! I can’t believe how lovely your garden looks! Who said the pandemic didn’t teach us anything. Do you still regrow your scallions in it? I thought that was so clever
Thanks so much, John! I am still learning but yes… I am still regrowing the green onion from the bottoms. 😊 I tried growing some from seed but they did not turn out at all!
I'm making this for the second time, but I had to rewatch the video 😅 I looooooove all your videos and everything is so delicious 🤩Thank you!
True
Im doing this. Omg, this is awsome. I was gladly spending 13 bucks a pop for a small portion of this with a side of rice. Ty!!
Hi Flo! I recently bought an instant pot and was searching for hours on CZcams for Asian/Malaysian recipes that I can make in my instant pot. As a person who has a burning passion for cooking and eating, I absolutely love every single video you have uploaded so far and I am so happy that I found your channel! You mentioned that Dude was Malaysian and currently resides in Canada with you. Well, hello from another Malaysian who is currently working (& studying) in the U.S. :)
Years ago, my old bosses took me to a Thai restaurant for lunch. The place was a little run down and dainty and we automatically started to regret our decision. Although, the staff was really nice so we decided what the heck and stayed. I am SO glad we did because I ordered their yellow curry (I had never had Thai curry) and it was the MOST DELICIOUS curry I had EVER had. I cannot wait to try making it for myself.
the "run down" less fancy typically cosy thai eateries are always the best imo!
This is a nice simple and delicious recipe. My favourite brand of paste is mae ploy but I'd love to hear other suggestions!
I could only find jars of premade yellow curry sauce at my grocery stores, no paste, but I’m going to add coconut milk to thin it out and cook the vegetables and chicken in it. Hopefully it works!
Oh my gosh y’all are so cute! I love this channel!
I made this but added pineapple and it was amazing!!!!
I just made a version of this with the ingredients I had and have to say it was อร่อยมาก 👍
Would love to see your version of Panang curry! It’s so delicious
I'd imagine it's the same recipe just use panang curry paste instead of yellow curry paste 🤷🏾
Flo, you and Dude make a great team! I have this particular brand of curry in the back of my fridge. I will try it soon. Thank you! By the way, you look good with short hair.
which brand is it pls, tyia💕
Mae Ploy yellow curry paste which you can get at most Asian store
Hair on fleek!! ☮️
This soup looks good 👍 🍜
if you prefer it thicker, use less chicken broth like she said, her husband likes it with a lot of sauce over rice and so do I!
I've ALREADY forgotten takeout😂😁🙃👌🤗❤!!!
From 2 dead plants to a wonderful garden. Yay!!!
I just made this with red curry paste. Very easy and turned out great. (I wasn't sure about this brand of curry paste and I ended up using too little. I will use more next time.)
I made it and it's sooooo~~~~ good!! Thank you ^_^
Looks delicious! Your beautiful garden gives me hope that a brown thumb like me think that I could have one too. I have put extra Thai basil from the Asian market in water and it roots really well, then transfer it to a pot.
Aw… thanks, Deb! I’m trying… my herbs are doing well… everything else, I’m hoping will put out something. LOL I’ve tried to root basil and it has not worked well for me. This was the next best thing! 🌱
This looks so good! I'm and every grain gal, Dude! lol 😂
I love the video and will make today! What spice is used to make it spicy!!
Yummy 😋 some body is so lucky to have Flo ! pretty and nice 👏💕💐
I add baby carrots as well 👍
Making mine now lol 😀
Hi this looks very delicious. What brand did you use for the curry paste ?
ใช่แล้วประมาณนี้เลย จริงๆใช้กระเทียมแทนหัวหอมก็ได้ กินกับโรตีก็อร่อยนะครับ
thx
