    I stumbled onto a P250 Compact for $425 about a month ago. Frankly I had never heard of the P250 at the time. What an incredible buy!! 15 round mags, night sights and pretty decent trigger for $425! I just wish I could find another. It's replaced my 38 special as my truck gun.
    Great review. I couldn't agree more...P250 are hidden gems.

      I own 7 different P250 handguns in a variety of all the different calibers they offered. They work in most of the P320 holsters and are easier to do a complete disassembly on than the P320. For some reason I'm more accurate with the P250 than my P320, P365 or any of my gen 3 glocks. Plus they don't jam when my girlfriend limp wrists them like my glocks do. Several of mine were bought used for under $350, but it seems like the prices on everything has gone up so I doubt I'll ever see any for $299 again.

    DAO pistols will never be popular because most people don't know the trick to mastering them. Or they don't care to learn it. Some people say stage the trigger. Well for me that's "hit or miss." (pun intended) What I did was install my laser, snap cap & dry fired it a lot. Watch that laser dot & keep it as still as possible while pulling the trigger. It will bounce around at first. Practice keeping that red dot still until the trigger breaks. I shoot both my P250s as well as my SA pistols. Yes, same group size. And you won't need to remember to take the safety off. There isn't a safety. You will also have restrike. I won't carry a SA pistol, with or without a safety. I rented a P365 & it was MUCH more snappy than my P250. I bought 2 P250s. Full size 45 & subcompact 9mm & I love shooting them.

    The P250 is a good pistol, underrated. It may not shoot as fast as a short takeup striker fired handgun but its very reliable and easy to use. No safety, just draw and shoot. However, safer than a striker fired to reholster: cover the hammer with your thumb to help prevent unintended discharges and "glock leg.".

    I wanted a 45 acp, and my local dealer had just what I was looking for a Sig P250 compact 45 for 450. After buying it, I found it was a modular firearm and the serial # is on the removable trigger assembly that can be used on several kits, I found a 9mm subcompact kit for 299, and it's my favorite carry now.

    The P320 grip modules fit the P250. I have changed my 3.6 and 3.9 slides to X-Compact grips. Work great!

    • @TheFemiaTeam
      @TheFemiaTeam Před 3 lety +2

      @@h.fenrus2405 Yes, much like the Sig M17, which is on an M19 frame. The Glock 48 is also a longer slide on a Glock 43x frame. I have a P250 22lr which is a 4.25 inch slide and it works great, too. The grip is only 3/8 inch longer and holds 3 more rounds. It's a little thicker because the subcompact grip is a small and the X-Compact is a medium. It's got a beaver tail and an cut out under the trigger guard, which help you grip the gun much higher.

    This has been my edc for well over 6 years and there are too many positive reasons to ever change it. I'll be honest it rides and conceals AIWB better than my p365xl. Mine is stock, but I think at this point I'm going to invest in a nice flat skeletonized trigger and custom stipple job. It's 100% reliable, safe, comfortable and I shoot it well. I'm surprised DAO doesn't get more attention, I'd prefer that over a safety any day of the week. Thumb on hammer when re-holstering is second nature and feels natural.

    This is my home defense pistol. I really like it. Was bummed when discontinued. Also, I envisioned converting it to multiple calibers, but the kits were the same cost as a new gun...so never saw the point - just buy a new gun. When CCW comes in, it'll be my carry pistol.

    Update: About a year after you made this video, I picked up a P250 for $325.
    If you ask me, that is incredible! I have always wanted to shoot a sig. I have always shot a Smith and Wesson, because I could not afford a sig. I came across the 250 at a pawn shop, in brand spanking new condition and that was a done deal at the price!!!
    Of course, once you have something, here in the interweb age, you start learning everything about it. It seems this Sig was unpopular because of the long trigger pull. Hell, I LOVE that! The range is for practice. The REAL purpose of my firearm is for home defense. That long trigger pull means I have to be VERY deliberate in order to put a man down. If you ask me, that's the way it should be!
    I am VERY happy to FINALLY be able to own a Sig! Heading to the range this afternoon to get used to that trigger!!!

    • @Plinkytube
      @Plinkytube  Před 2 lety +1

      I bought my P-250 .45 full size a few years ago. I believe it was around $325 to $350. I got a hard case, soft case, retention holster and 2 extra magazines.
      I actually love the longer trigger pull. One reason being that there is no safety and the second, is after you get accustomed to it, you can stage it and put some accurate lead on target.
      It is extremely easy to break down and clean. It is very reliable and easy to shoot. Some people do not like it, however, I actually love it. Especially for that price.

    Debating between this and a P320. Already daily carry a P365 with the same tan frame and black slide as yours (it was an MS model, easy enough to remove safety and switch to tan frame.) A full-sized Sig seems nice. Carried a Glock 26 gen 4 for a year, tried replacing parts, it was a jam-o-magic. Sig for the win!

    The p250 is underrated as a firearm can be. The city of Milwaukee finally called it quits on the p320 last year after too many accidental discharges. The predecessor to the p320 was the p250 which remains superior to this day.

    Train with it. It does everything a 320 does, just has a hammer and longer pull. Same grips, sizes, mags, weight etc. Alotta interchangeable parts. Sig quality. Don't assume anything 'til you try it. I run 250s and 320s...holes in the target are identical. Weigh your options...or, like me...get 'em both and actually know what you are talking about. Not to mention, if you bought 250s, you can now sell them for more than you bought them new. Part them out...Ebay snatches them up FAST.

    it's good for eco rounds, if the opponent doesn't have a helmet, one headshot kills him. and if he has a helmet, it gives him 80 dmg, which is not bad. I definitely prefer it on the tt side and on the ct side I take five seven
