Where u work for 60 hours a week minimum(no work life balance) and pay is just good for freshers but by the time u get experience of 5-10 years then tech firms like Google, Facebook,apple,rubrik etc will pay you much more base pay and stocks of these firms make your networth in the long time

Bhaiya they hire iitians for a separate profile - quant strategist which is not the software engineering profile offered to others. That's why the difference in pay. GS should open the quant strategist position for all.
Nope. Strat roles have even higher pay. The pay for IITians that I have detailed out here is for NAPA. :)

No. The companies never say the ctc is 30 lpa. Lpa by definition means lakhs per year.
They will say ctc is 30 lakhs. Which is not unfair at all. LPA is added by your placement cell to publicise.

Please can anyone tell me whether can I use JavaScript for solving interview problems of these companies?
You can though it is better to use cpp or java. As they have excellent stl support and will make your life way easier than using java script.
Plus javascript might also not be there in some of the online coding assesments.
@@SoumyajitBhattacharyay I think I am decent with JavaScript and I can solve these algorithmic questions in Js except those STL or Collection Frameworks specific questions. Sir can you tell me among these all companies which has good scope for JS developers either Node for backend and React for frontend
In most of the big tech companies there is no pre defined framework that is being used. It all depend on the use case. So you wont find much laguage/framework specific openings.
As companies do prefer candidates who can pick up any language and framework as per the requirement. So prefer to higher flexible software developers and not js developer etc..
Plus most of the questions you would have to extensively use stl to solve it optimally. It is better to do so using cpp or java.

Paying more to IITians is justified. They dont work hard to get the same pay
Nope not justified, if they are doing the same thing in the company and at a fresher level, where be it from iit or not or any other firms, most of them don't know much to begin with.
So paying someone considerably more of the order of 7-10 lakhs yearly just because of a college tag is not justified.

The problem with most of your videos is that you just throw numbers and nothing else , I have seen 10s of people who switch to these companies, but only got a 30-50 % hike . I know a person who switch from Credit Sussie (10 LPA CTC) 3 year exp , got a offer from goldman that was even lower than what they offer to freshers. The person was from iit dhanbad (1 year amdocs , 2 year credit sussie).
Also Rachit jain told in one of the videos is that cult fit offered him a CTC which is even lower from what they offer to fresher. I am not telling lies, its the truth
It all depends on how they performed on the interviews, how badly they want you and how much is the budget and what kind of role they applied to.
I have seen people go from 20 to 80lpa.
4 to 40 lpa.
I have regularly seen people get way over 100% increment in the companies that i have mentioned.
Mostly companies with strict bands will always bring you to the band. For example Amazon has very strict band and no matter how much your previous compensation is, you will always get the a salary inside of the band. So i have seen folks going from 4 or 5 loa to 35 - 40lpa while switching.
Yes it might happen, if we start comparing against roles. As strat role people earn more than the normal software developer roles in goldman. I do not know what rachit was talking about and how he was comparing his salary with that if others.
In most of the videos if you see carefully the bands overlap and the same is the case every where.
The Googles video as well, it is taken from google itself. They maintain and are very transparent about employee salaries. And encourage their employees to disclose the salaries ao that people are paid fairly.
Similarly i myself have gotten way over 50% hike while switxhing. Even when my previous compensation was fairly high. Simply because I knew the extent of the band and my value to the company. And i have seen many other folks getting those.
And people will be paid what they demand. If they start demanding less or are not aware of the extent of the band no company will pay them more. So start knowing your value, the companies band and you will get the upper hand while negotiating.
Plus in the video i have mentioned that for lateral hire the salary range is 20 to 30. For IIT fresh grads it is 28. So yes, your friend can come in at a salary which is lesser than that of a fresher. Where did you get the impression that they will always be hired at a salary more than that of the fresher in my video. Though they should be and pay disparity should not happen in case of freshers but thats just a different issue al together.
If you know how much a comoany can pay, then you can line up your offers such that you can get as much as possible while negotiating.

True that! Traders will earn a lot more. But again have the possibility to down as well. Where as VP is a very common position in Goldman. So from a probability point of view it is a better shot.
