Hi Gautam, not sure if you're a student but my advice is it'd be good to get comfortable with English if you're planning to be a software engineer. Once you enter the industry, you'll generally speak English with colleagues in most official settings because most of the time, there'll be folks who don't understand Hindi well and speaking in Hindi would exclude them out of the conversation.

These numbers are pre tax. Post tax will depend a lot on how a person actually claims all yhe tax redemptions etc. Hence very difficult to make a video on that.
Having said that, stocks and cash salary all fall under income tax and is subjected to the same tax bracket.

No they arent for most use cases. I see so many folks working in Amazon who arevway past 40!
I think so what Ankur was pointing at is whether or not there is some form of ageism prevelant in the industry.

Although I am not 100% sure, but, acc to what I have observed:
MTS1 16-20lpa
MTS2: 22-27lpa
CS1: 30-38lpa
CS2: 38-45lpa
Not true thpugh, as mentioned here I have also added the refresher that they will be getting at each of the levels.
So for MTS 1 10k over 4
MTS 2 20k over 4
CS 1 30K over 4
And CS 2 40K over 4.
Plus this invludes the entire range as well. For folks coming in as lateral hires are genrally paid more than the folks who have been promoted internally.
All the data that you see have been sourced from respective offer letters! đ
This is the offer received from on of the people that I know for CS 2
It does not even include the yearly refresher.
Base: 45 lacs
Yearly Performance bonus: 10% of base.
RSU: $100K over 4 years
Retention Bonus: 6lacs + 5lacs
For MTS 1 as well the lowest that the university graduates get is:
Base 11.5 - 12
Stocks : 4/yr
Performance Bonus :1.5
Refresher: 7.5/4
Total around 19L / yr
Other people getting hired at MTS 1 will receive more. And This does not include the joining bonus as well đ

@@ayushjindal4981 hi yes that is called refresher otherwise after 4 years the stock will just drop and so will your compensation. In order to prevent a cliff this happens.
Similarly in amazon as well there is a convept of refreshers. đ . How that works probably I will not be able to disclose in a pu lic forum right now đ

Yes. The annual refreshers are the lowest at Microsoft. And from the company standards, it is exactly the same in the US(value) as well, meaning for the US markets it's essentially even lower.
For CS1 level in Adobe I have heard that they give around 20lac refereshers every year whereas for Msft as you said its around 5lacs only...

I have asked ppl around....not everybody gets refreshers every year in Adobe...specially in the first appraisal they wont give...and after that its like 60-70% ppl will get them...

The value that I have told is the median value for meets expectations. Might get more might get less or not at all based on companies performance and individual performance.
This is the case with all the refreshers in all the company.
Unlike Salesforce where refresher is given to just 10 - 15% of all the employees world wide.
Hence, the inclusion of the refresher

Bro.... there are lot of companies who focuses on your technical skills instead of gap years...yes they will ask you about your gaps...but if you have a convincing answer...then it not that much difficult to be placed.âïž...just focus on your technical skills as well as communication skills...you surely will get placed buddy..đ€
