Been a traditional artist for a good few years (and still plan to continue to do it) but I wanted to know how to do digital art, so I got MediBang and lemme tell u this tutorial is SO useful and it has saved me so much time
I hate doing black lineart so the trick to coloring the lines is a HUGE help, so thank you for this video :>
We're happy to hear that! Best of luck on your digital art journey đ
Feel free to let us know what kinds of MediBang tutorials you'd like to see from us in the future!
I used medibang for almost 4+ years buts itâs nice to have a refresher every now and then

Thank you! UwU

I've been using medibang for years, and only now I learned about the tolerance trick with paint
All this time I was filling the white spots manually xD
mE TOO LMAO
I may not be rich and can't afford a drawing tablet, but I have a Kindle, stylus and a dream. I have used this for about a year now and this improved my experience. Thank you.
Best medibang tutorial I've seen, it has been incredibly helpful for me since I struggle to get used to digital drawing!
I've yet to get the clipping layers to work entirely as I would've liked though. I can make it so that i cant color outside the outer lines, but it can still color over things inside these lines. If I'm drawing a head for example, the coloring stops at the chin, but not at the mouth or eyes. What am I doing wrong or how could I solve this? Thanks!
Thanks -- we're so glad you found this tutorial helpful! Clipping layers all depend on what's on the initial layer; if all your segments are on the same layer, then it doesn't matter if they're spaced out or anything, where you've drawn is where the clipping mask will believe it's ok for you to draw on. Layer order is also a factor. You can't clip a clipping layer, so every clipping layer you've made past the first one will still be clipped to your initial layer
. Say you've clipped layer B to layer A; if you try to clip layer C onto layer B, it won't work because B already has a clipping mask attached, so instead layer C will also clip to layer A.

This video is Amazing, I love how soothing her voice is and how she explains everything, Thank You SO MUCH FOR THIS TUTORIAL!
Who can draw with medibang
Really i found the voice hard to sit through
I've been blindly stumbling through medibang pro for the last two months, and every single moment of this tutorial easily corrected a problem I'd been having with the software, from not realizing that my correction being up at 40 was the reason the tablet was lagging behind to the tolerance meter on the fill tool, to like. Basically everything. Thank you thank you thank you
keep telling myself, "one day you'll be able to draw that kirby". but today it eludes me
What I'm wondering about is why my "soft" eraser isn't soft at all, when I use it the outer is solid when it's supposed to erase somewhat like an airbrush.
Helpful tip - if you're using the "soft" eraser provided, you have to use it on the brush tool!! Switching to the eraser on the sidebar is (for some reason) its own eraser, so you have to click on brush tool and *then* click on the soft eraser like if you were using a different brush, and it will register as the soft brush.
@@RabbleDabbleYT ooohh I see, thank you for this, it is very much appreciated :)
I know this is already solved, but it's good to remember the eraser brush and the eraser tool are two different things.
For everyone: I have been using medibang for 5 months. I used to have the correction at 30, then with practice, i moved it down to 20. Now it stays at 12. It gets better with practice!
For the Lasso select tool you dont have to do it all in one go! You can hold Shift while using it to add more to your selection, or hold control to take away from it.
I was scared when I heard that, but I quickly found out that you can do that! You can also click outside of the selection to make it disappear!
I had been using Medibang for years and never knew half of this stuff. My jaw dropped at when you explained the Gradient Tool Bc i never understood what it was. Thank You So Much For The Tutorial!
I downloaded medibang today actually, cause I want to get into art. This was really helpful, so thank you!! âș
I literally never knew that tolerance was a thing with the fill tool and wasted like half of my time covering the unfill spot
Very informative! I love how you went through everything and showed examples and compared things. Thank you for making this video!
Oh my gosh! This is so helpful. At first I was really confused when I downloaded the software so I decided to search for a tutorial, and you really cleared things up for me! Thank you :)

Nice tutorial! As someone who's been using Medibang for a while I think this is a really good overview, defiantly gonna be sending this to some people I know who are new to it.
Thank you for sharing our video! We're so glad you found it helpful. We recommend Medibang paint for beginners who take our live digital art classes, and we'll be making more in the future :)

I've been trying to figure out how to color lines and shade without ruining my drawings, so thank you so much for all the things! I didnt know A LOT about what you talked about. This was super helpful!
Itâs good to have my mind refreshed because I didnât even know I could change the shape of the select tool.
im a beginner in medibang, this really helped..
This was a really well explained beginners guide. I didn't even know medibang could do all that cool stuff! Thank you so much for this!
Thankyou sooooo much for da tutorial
For the lasso tool, if you hold down shift after making your selection, you can add to it! :D

I got recommended this by a friend a month or two ago when I said I wanted to get into drawing, finally started using it yesterday and man I need this
This honestly explained a lot. I've been experimenting with a lot of the tools for a while, but I still didn't understand what a lot of them were or how they worked. I just have one question - can someone explain the difference between a multiply and an overlay layer? They looked like they came out with pretty similar results to me
iâve been using Ibis for almost 3 years now and I think itâs time I move to a more intermediate program.. Wish me luck!
Hope you enjoy the change đ Good luck!
