    Red tree = Flame of the forest. Same one like the one in the temple.
    Yes lots of fruits and vegetables. Guavas, mulberry, durians, avocados, passion fruits, jackfruit coffee and many more.
    There was even the lemon grass that was in front of you.
    Nice videos

    Courgette flowers are delicious. Michelin chefs around the world use them. They should be gently fried in butter.

    Love clips of the rubber plantations and fruit farms, remind me of my childhood. The Viets work hard, play hard and fight hard.

    Watching you drive through the countryside makes me miss VN more and more. Last time I was in VN was right before the pandemic in a town called Long Hai which is similar to your place. I love driving around the country roads, taking in the smells (usually burning garbage), seeing the sites, feeling the cool breeze and stopping for ice coffee. Ah, those days were the best days. I too would like to retire one day in VN on a farm with plenty of fruit trees: durian, jackfruit, lychee, longan, mangosteen, mango, rambutan, pineapple. Also, Chom chom = Rambutan. Thanks for the video.

      Thanks for watching and leaving kind comments. I’m sure there are plenty more wonderful days ahead.. life often surprises us. I’d retire early, sell up and do it while active and prices are low.

    Area looks just likes my wife’s father’s coffee farm in Gia Lai with the valley rice fields below. Can’t wait to get back to visit the area again. The area is just beautiful.

    This was fantastic. I love the farm. If that little house was livable full time you're talking my dream retirement. Maybe that place is a little too far from town for me, but that's the idea. Beautiful scenery. Just fantastic. I was pretty sure I knew what you meant, but had to Google "British slang johnny" just to make sure!

    Dakto used to be one of the hottest battle areas during the war . A lot of soldiers of both sides had died there . Btw Chom Chom is rambutan and lychee is Vai .

    I got sackarters like that in Australia, Vietnamese farmers all around my 16 hectares! Australian farmers not farm this country only run cows. Vietnamese growing Asian vegetables... I amazed different country Vietnamese will farm extremely hard working on questionable soils etc. 👍🥳🍻🇦🇺mulberry in OZ.

    Is jackfruit the same as what they call Durian in Malaysia? Look similar. Delicious!

      There is Artocarpus integer aka cempedak almost very similar to jakfruit except in taste and aroma. And it best fried with batter

    • @ChrissieSM
      @ChrissieSM Před 2 lety +1

      @@guppiesstories5942 I tried something similar in Barbados, but it was called breadfruit. The taste was similar to potato but much better.

      @@ChrissieSM Yes l like the breadfruit fried with batter,
      The seeds of the jackfruit can be boiled and yes it is a slightly harder than the breadfruit in texture but it is also nice to be eaten. Just remove the outer plastic like coat of the jf seed.

    • @adventuresinvietnam
      @adventuresinvietnam  Před 2 lety +2

      I’ve been away from the UK for a substantial amount of years, so the short answer is.. No.
      However I do miss some luxuries like cheese, tea, oatcakes, black pudding, Branston pickle, whole-wheat bread and weetabix. I could go on a bit..
      I’ve only been in Vietnam for 2.5months so the food is relatively new.. still discovering new flavors & smells on a regular basis. Stinky sauce is quite good. Thanks!
