The pagoda is beautiful and the gardens are lovely and so peaceful. I like the different shades of green and the many different plant shapes all of which have been planted thoughtfully. I joy to watch.
Aw nice. I went out with my Thuy last night. I return to Vietnam in 5 weeks and i am going fishing with her Dad in Ha Long bay hahahaha Ill be in Da Nang and central Vietnam a lot exploring so i hope i can visit this very beautiful Pagoda. Day la rat dep!
Vietnamese pagodas have 3 types of tiles: lapis lazuli, yin and yang tiles and dragon scale tiles. Almost all Vietnamese pagodas are built with dragon scale tiles because they are cheap to make.
I have to say it again. I love that you include your wife. It adds to your channel. I see so many xpats that I follow and it’s just them. While their perspective is good adding the wife give us another view. Especially because sometimes she explains things you have no clue of! 😁
Beside this temple, there is very little for most tourists to see and do in pleiku. Some coffee plantations… this is a little bit a shame because for the size of the city that pleiku is the people are really friendly and it is very safe. I always enjoy my time there
I disagree. There are plenty other sites and cultural spots to enjoy like Dragon mountain, the sea lake, market square, city lake, the central park, ethic villages, waterfalls, rubber plantations, rivers and volcanic mountains. Gia Lai has a rich history and multi cultural population so it has a lot to offer. Of course it cannot compete with Saigon or Hanoi but it certainly shouldnt be ignored.
Most beautiful temple in Viet, not sure about that. it's up there but hope they preserve it serene, peaceful, limit filming and tourists, no loud noises,, restrict openning hours, etc
Yeah I agree.. what were they thinking with the tile designs?! 🤣 I got a feeling that the designers thought cramming as much crap into it as possible increases the value or something 😅
This pagoda is actually not the most beautiful in Vietnam . If you go up North , you will see a lot huger and more gorgeous ones like Bai Dinh pagoda in Ninh Binh province , Ba Vang pagoda in Quang Ninh province and specially Tam Chuc pagoda in Ha Nam province . And across Vietnam , in Huê , Da Nang , Dalat , Sapa , Nha Trang , Tuy Hoa ,Tây Ninh , Quy Nhon , Phu Quoc , Ba Ria-Vung Tau , HCMC , Binh Duong , Cân Tho , Hanoi , Ha Long , etc...there are also a lot of big and beautiful Buddhist temples and monasteries . Have you ever travelled all over Vietnam yet
It was just a eye catching heading.. dont take things too seriously. Also beauty is subjective and a personal thing. Yes.. Ive been to most places on your list except Sapa, Da lat and Phu Quoc. I&ll get around more in time. Where are you from?
I have been to Ban Me Thuat but not Pleiku. Definitely will check out this beautiful temple. Do you know if the place opens at night and is it well lit? I reckon the place will be tranquil at night and the sounds of the monks reciting the prayers would be Nirvana like.
We had the painted drywall walls like normal in the west with just a paste-up & rollout border around the top of the rooms back in the 90's-2000's, was much cheaper than using a tile on the walls with a border printed on it👍 just an idea if u were lookn to save a couple bucks🤷🏻♂️not sure if that could be an option for ya's? Gives you alot more combinations of designs and colors you can come up with👍
Thanks for the advice.. I’m leaning towards plaster & paint walls for pure simplicity. Tiles have a place and that’s not in the living room. I sense another compromise on the horizon. Ha ha
The Vietnamese people are warm and friendly. I personally have never felt in danger or received any ill feelings due to my ethnicity. The war is hardly mentioned in public with little remnants visible. Also, just take a look at the variety of vloggers living and documenting their experiences throughout Vietnam. It’s under construction at the moment.. but I will find out if there are any evening openings or light up events.

Not the kind of country that I would visit. I will feel very unsafe in Vietnam. They were very cruel to the Americans in the Vietnam War.
