    I am surprised to see you wearing a necktie. My experience, the only time a man is allowed to dress up is at his wedding.

      I like to wear a tie at work.. its a British thing I guess.

      @@adventuresinvietnamYes, the coat and tie make you look professional. I am retired now and seldom have a reason to dress. Now and then I do wear a tie and Fedora to the grocery store in the States. I am now 76 and it is ok if people feel I am eccentric. When I am in Vietnam I don't want to be the Ugly American so I try and follow the local customs. Last trip I found out not to cross my fingers for good luck.

      @@bboomermike2126, it is quite common in Europe to wear smart clothes to work, but it is getting more casual these days.
