While there were quite a few inequities in this scene including the rate of fire on the M61 Vulcan 20mm cannon and the fact that he could magically pull basically a maneuver that would destroy the airframe by extending the wings and pulling a high-G climb, this was still one of the coolest scenes ever. I’m a fellow aviation nerd and I saw everything that was right and wrong with this scene, it was still cool as hell.
In my opinion one of the greatest scenes in Movie History , i can watch it over and over again. I Love the Music Set up , ITS so exciting imaginäre this Situation, you have to make an decision that can cost Life... I Love the effects, cameraview, the actors doing perfect Job. And the Manouver that they does ,Just Look amazing. 😂🎉
I haven’t seen a movie in a long time that immediately hopped into my top 10 favorites. Amazing movie. I thought Maverick was gone. And when i got to this part. I was sold all the way. Great scene and movie.

As an aviation geek, I say the rule-of-cool applies here. It may have its flaws but its still one of the best action films in the last decade.
