Lots of downtime. Above avg OPS avg runs scored. Team speed a problem and led to their DER dropping from #2 in 2021 to last this year. Pitchers allow too much contact for a weak defense and that means they give up a lot of runs equals under .500 record and horrible mgr gets you a last place finish
What looks good on paper doesn't always mean that there will be success. Cardinals have to face more of the league and less of the push over central. You're currently seeing the results of that! Plus they're a non playoff team with #3 starters at best. St Louis has been consistently inconsistent since LaRussa left STL. Keep drinking the Kool Aid!!!😊
this season makes me want to abandon them. i cant take all these losses. the way they just eat those throwaway losses like its nothing. im tearing my hair out watching them blow game after game and gleefully strut down to first to be throw out in the ninth. our owner needs to be publicly shamed. last place is unacceptable
