Great report as always, and really beautiful armies. I'd like to say that the morkanaut couldnt overwatch as it is titanic, so that hammerhead could have lived to see another day, but great work guys!

You can't play overwatch on a titanic unit any more so the Morkanaut wouldn't have killed that Hammerhead in turn 2. That said you also came use the Greater Good rule on an observer unit so Longstrike cohosh both benefit from being guided and in turn guide the other Hammerhead on turn 1.

Yes I realised that straight after the game! My mistake. I could have overwatched with the flash gitz trukk though which I probably should have done anyway
@Sperian22 also can't do that I believe, as firing deck is out of phase rule.
You could fire with the big shootas but not the embarked units.

Great battle report, and great Ork conversions.
Stormsurge definitely seemed like a weak link for the Tau. Also did you think that ao many crisis suits were the best option going forward. Maybe a 6 man unit with a coldstar and then spend the extra points on other units. The tau seemed to lack screens, meaning the eventual charge of the Orks was devastating, made worse by the Tau ignroring the transports for the big Ork distraction cvarnifex.

That was a great game. The terrain is simply stunning,and the dice rolls were very hot. Can't wait to see the next game!!!!!
This battle does show how hard a time tau can have in some(most) matchups
No ability to hold objectives in a game based around holding objectives, an army rule that doesn’t activate until half the army is dead and anti tank that is nerfed by either being too weak or getting saved by the proliferation of invincible saves or ignore first attack mechanics on the tougher models!
I love tau but is it unreasonable for an army that only has shooting to have it’s shooting weakened when it has literally no other ways of dealing damage or avoiding damage
In a meta that still has alpha strike, unkillable regenerating units and hordes with inv saves swamping the centre tau will continue to struggle.
Losing the -AP in the pulse rifle didn't help either. Or the total lack of keywords in our weapons.

did not see that win comming for the orks, thought the tau would shoot them from the board by round 3... thats normaly when the orks run out of steam. but the gready tau wanted to stop the green tide early. well well loved the video, loved the board set up! nice terrain, game on!!!
can i ask why you have an ethereal with a marker drone?
he doesn't benefit from having it, he can't observe because he doesn't have the for the greater good ability (when he is by himself)
strike team already have the markerlight keyword, only benefit would be so that they can advance and still be able to observe.. which you may as well put on the strike team alongside their guardian drone as both the strike team and ethereal can take 2 drones each.
ethereal is best to take either 2 gun drones or 2 shield drones going to 5 wounds.

@@drilltime1237 Not everyone is a powergamer dude... Also I suspect the armies taken are also guided by the models available for use, not everyone can or wants to take 3 of every unit in order to play into every aspect of the current meta

@@TheRealKyle the battlesuit was already damaged from his overcharge gun. So 3 more wounds killed it I believe.

Small thing, but had the Gitz disembarked then they can't gain the heavy bonus as they're unable to remain stationary (c.1hr17m)
You can hear the pain in your voice being a Tau player as you learn about all the cool rules and abilities of other factions.
Can towering models do overwatch?
Hi no I realised straight after the game that I made a mistake with this, titanic models cannot overwatch so the Morkanaut wasn't able to. I should have fired with the trukk with the flash gitz in instead! Arguably these would have been a better choice anyway

Trees are by a company called Heiki. They make tree sets for model railways. This was a pine tree set came in a bag of about 80 trees🙂👍

I'm with SS82...the rule of cool is more important to me than the competitive thing ...there are a lot of channels that film competitive, so leave this one alone...😂🙏
