How To Turn Off the Beeping Sound on a Frigidaire Microwave - Annoying Loud Beeping Noise

If you are tired of the annoying loud beeping sound from your Frigidaire microwave, then this tutorial will show you how to turn it off once and for all :D (or at least until you have a power outage or something).
This tutorial is specifically for Frigidaire microwave FFCE1455UD, but the concept likely applies to other microwaves as well.

What were the designers of this product thinking?!!
The annoying beep was brought to you by the designers who also couldn't make the "percent power" setting simple to use. Instead, it is necessary to cycle through the percentages. They thought they had a "better idea" than to allow the user to enter the desired value on the keypad. Nearly everyone else does that, but the designers at Frigidaire are "special."
Had I known about these "features," they would not have received a penny of my money. I will remember this when I see Frigidaire while shopping for anything.
One quibble about the video -- 0;15 "the last time you will ever have to hear it." Actually, the annoying beep will return if the appliance loses power -- by unplugging or during a power outage. Then, you will need this non-obvious procedure again.

Thank you for this. I was given this microwave, and it is seriously the most annoying microwave ever. I don't know how the designers at Frigidaire could think someone would want such a loud annoying beeping machine. Then to top it off if you don't stop the microwave right away it keeps repeating until you can get to it. Also opening the door doesn't make it stop. You have to in addition hit the stop button. When you are cooking many things and running around the kitchen it can really fry your nerves. If if you loose power then it resets and you have to do this all over again to stop the beeping, so 6 to 8 months from now when the power goes out or I have to unplug it and move it, then I will probably be rewatching your video.

I don't mind that beep, when I'm cooking it lets me know when something is done. What I can't stand is the "reminder" beep when your food is ready but you haven't opened the door yet. It will beep every few seconds...forever until you open the door. How do I disable that?

Unfortunately, it looks like your model does not have any built-in function to disable the beeping sound. (Note: I do not have this microwave so I can't verify by messing around with the settings).
Some people commented that you could press CLOCK twice to get to the option setting, sadly the manual says otherwise (Reference: p. 10 of the Frigidare FFMV164LS manual). According to the manual, it would only switch between AM and PM.
In addition, one of the customer representatives responded to a review complaining about the beeping sound and the representative only said they would pass it along to the development team.
However, there is a solution, you have to physically disable it.
