But it doesn't always work this way. I've printed things set to "Flip on Long Edge", but the pages on the back side came out upside down, so I switched to "Short Edge" and they came out OK. Why does this happen from time to time?

It was the using the charger while drawing for me. Unplugged and it worked fine. Plugged again and it started back. I have my mine in a keyboard case. Don't know if that plays a part.
