When I realized that the symbiote was in control while Peter was sleeping, my mind immediately went back to the 2008 Spectacular Spider-Man cartoon, it was really cool to see that again😅
I hope in another universe, Spectacular Spider-Man got 5 seasons as intended and that the citizens of that other universe enjoyed it as much as we enjoyed the 2 seasons we got
Fun fact it was in the original comic run and the reason why Peter started to suspect that something was wrong

There actually is some dialogue by Peter before he goes to Harry where he contemplates whether Harry really needs the suit and how the symbiote making him a better Spider-Man is for everyone's benefit, so he should keep it.
Also I have a theory as to why Peter didn't retort to Rio scolding him.
While the symbiote enhances the negative aspects of your personality and emotions to the point of Peter acting out of character at times, especially when it comes to protecting his bond with the symbiote, it's obviously still Peter in there and Peter's main driving force has always been guilt, it's frankly his greatest motivator, as sad as that sounds.
So what Rio said struck such a deep cord in Peter's moral compass that even the symbiote's influence couldn't stop that guilt.
Nah, even the symbiote knows not to fuck with an angry Puerto Rican mother. 💀💀💀

I don't think Norman knows that Peter is Spider-Man, that would be very bad. But the conversation between Norman and Peter it just seemed like Norman really did see Peter as a son, an element pulled from the comics where Norman sees Peter as the son he never had. Peter also never seeks Normans approval something he admires so he naturally has alot of respect for Peter Parker.
That's why I would love a prequal DLC following a 15 year old Peter Parker to explore some of his early interactions with his villains, friends, and the city of New York. We get hints of that with the Midtown mission and the fun side mission of Peter delivering his pictures on bike but a fun little DLC would be really cool. We could see more of Peters interactions with Norman for example.

The symbiote amplifies the characteristics of its host, although it does warp perception it uses the feelings of whoever it’s bonded with to an extreme level
That makes sense. I read a theory on Reddit where someone said they think the symbiote feeds off negative emotions which I also thought was interesting.

It’s trying to ‘symbiotically’ bond to the hosts emotional and deep-thought psychological responses, while also having some influence of its own as an alien species

This is by far my favorite interpretation of symbiote Spiderman. You genuinely feel that Peter is slowly becoming a threat. I'm glad you are loving this game Insomniac truly doesn't miss.
idk man i feel like peter is always a threat, he'll throw manhole covers at your head and break every rib in your body with a 3 piece combo but at least he wont kill you

Slowly? It happens in like 4 missions. I was honestly disappointed because they had an opportunity to really show it happening slowly. But they kinda rushed through it considering how long game stories can be unlike the time constraints of movies.
Mary Jane tried to tell Peter about her story, but he was too tired to look at it last night. Plus that's another part of the addiction, blaming other people for things and not taking responsibility for it.
As for Norman, lots of Spider-Man stories had Norman respecting Peter's intelligence and some have it where Norman wishes Harry was like Peter, (Harry not being a good enough son for his father) Here though Norman saw Peter as an almost son and a like a brother to Harry, and Harry assumed he was stealing his father's love.
With Kraven, remember his desk back at the loft drugs for late-stage chemotherapy (what disease is connected with chemo) and him proclaiming "My Final Hunt" at the chapel, along with a note saying if doesn't come back from this hunt, all the better, I've got a feeling there's more to his quest for an equal than to just challenge him after so many victories.
To answer your question, the one guy you didn't know on one of Kravens prison monitors is Vulture.

That was tough to defeat Mister Negative/Martin Li, but you pulled through. Kraven killed Scorpion, Vulture, Shocker, and Electro. You still have to figure out where Rhino is. Norman Osborn is unaware of Peter’s identity as Spider-Man. A few more side missions are yet to be completed as well.
symbiote peter is absolutely amazing
If Peter is asleep the symbiote can ‘possess” his unconscious body on its own. Happened in the tv animated show

I do find it interesting that the concept of the suit effecting the hosts personality (Peter) was introduced in the 1990s Spider-Man Animated Series and was not a factor in the original mid to late 80s comics. This was then carried over into other media, similar to how the Batman Animated Series re-invented certain characters which then made there way into the comics for example Mister Freeze.
One of my biggest issues with Spider-Man 3 was how they set it up perfectly by introducing JJ's son in 2. Could have easily done the animated series and saved him from a crash coming back to earth, where he got the suit.
Instead it just randomly falls near him.

Li was bringing out miles own doubts and insecurities. MIles mom and dad, peter, and ganke would never actually say what they said but their dialogue is reflective of miles own doubts and fears.
MJ has really become quite a survivor ever since her training with Sable.

MJ is more mad at the fact that Peter is so nonchalant about the destruction he caused with his fight as opposed to how he was after sandman. And that’s because of the symbiote influencing him
I was not a fan of that conversation. MJ acts like Peter is so careful and regretful about his fights with anyone. Did she forget that he tore through the city with Shocker and fucked up an entire bank? Funny enough, she also made light of the situation directly after the chase section with Shocker in the first game. What about when Rhino bulldozed through the city and a mall? Or when Peter in particular gave the demon's helicopter a wrecking ball that destroyed bits of the city and then caused the helicopter to go down, almost killing a bunch of people? He did his best and him making light of the situation is *not* out of character for him. Did she want him to start crying over the fact that he couldn't save a dinosaur skeleton?
I love this game so much, but they wrote MJ and Danika to be the dumbest people in the game. We get it, the symbiote affects him negatively, we don't need to be told he's acting odd, especially before he even does anything and this especially applies to Danika. At least they didn't have Miles do it until it made sense.

Too fixated on Rhino and not acknowledging Shocker or the helicopter. The very fact that there were 2 Spider-Men to handle Rhino and they couldnt, shouldve made MJ way more upset than she was over the Lizard thing. They blew up a building. His response? "Sorry, I think our ball landed in your yard."
But you're right, Peter couldve handled the hunters + Lizard when he got folded by Rhino. Stop coping and get over it. I dont like how they wrote it and you arent changing my mind.

Using Miles’ surge ability also fills all your focus bars in addition to the boom. Helps in a pinch when you absolutely need to heal or get some quick combo finishers.

I don't think MJ was upset that the city got trashed while Pete and the Lizard fought, she was surprised and alarmed that Peter didn't seem to care that it had.
After sandman, he and Miles helped deal with the mess, now, with that suit, Peter doesn't give a crap about what destruction he leaves behind.

What's so weird about the statement "I'm so proud of the man you've become?" People say that all the time. Peter grew up best friends with Harry and Norman sees him as a second son. Yeah we know Norman is shady and cutthroat but at this point he genuinely cares about Peter.

Ehh idk anything coming out of Norman’s mouth feels like bullshit to me. Didn’t he take Peter and Ottos hard work last game causing Peter to go homeless just bc he could? Doesn’t really seem like the type of behavior you’d put your sons best friend through just to spite someone else (if he genuinely cared). & then the timing of him worrying and being upset about his son potentially dying to then turn around and in the same breathe praise Peter. Timing was weird. Felt like “well if Harry dies at least I have Peter” to me. That was just my personal reaction

@ezzekieldirks8542 he's kinda like that in the comics, the potions he took allowed him to lift up to 2 tons but he for sure felt stronger than that in this game

I gotta say skyy, it’s really entertaining seeing your reaction as somebody without the knowledge of the history with the symbiote suit, those of us that know watched this sequence with chills.
Sky you should definitely play Ghost of Tsushima when you are done with spider man.
If you don’t know what it is, it’s a samurai game with a fantastic story and amazing gameplay. It’s one of the best PlayStation games ever.
So cool that the suit used Peter's unconscious body like it did in Spectacular Spider-Man
I highly recommend going back to the graveyard before the next part of the story. After the next part, it triggers a change in dialogue as to what gets said at aunt May's grave.
Also, you can tell how many phases a boss has by the pips on the bottom left of their health bar. red indicates the phases yet to come, black indicates phases you've already defeated.
This is interesting to see someone new to the Symbiote storyline

45:53 I tell you that Kraven is wanting to die and might go down to the depths of Hell as there was a moment in his office that you have to witness his medication as he is dealing with Cancer. So he doesn’t want to die by natural causes and just want to die by a worthy opponent to end his suffering. So I hope that enlighten some notes on why he fights a lot for his own life.

Has Resident Evil vibes that's so cool when miles broke through that glass and all the hunters are just around him but they're not attacking him.
That reminds me of Batman Arkham Asylum when Batman walks through and he's invited to the party in the inmates say Batman you're on the list you're the special guest.
And you open the door and there's a whole bunch of criminals and they're cheering and clapping for you as you walk through you can still choose to attack them if you want.
But if you don't attack them they won't do anything to you.

Being a regular bad guy is terrifying in this situation because fighting Spider-Man when he's normal is bad for your health as is but now as far as you know Spider-Man has gone absolute batshit feral and isn't pulling his punches anymore, yeah I'm quitting that night I don't get paid enough to die or be put on life support 😂
Spider-Man pulling his punches is the greatest blessing he gives to his opps. People like Kingpin found out what happens when you abuse that blessing

FUN FACT! Originally in the comics, the reason he had to ditch the suit was because after the black suit was switched to his main suit, although it was originally a prank by Marvel to change everything asthough it was a new direction moving forwards which they wouldn't throw away for afew more issues, they immediately got alot of complaints which had them need to figure out a story to scrap it early, so they made it an alien, which given the context, no duh, and that was the only reason it was seen as bad by him in the original run, then when the first few issues with the suit were published, everyone loved it, so they had Black Cat suggest he don a cloth version of the suit sometimes, because she thought he looked hotter in it. As a result, you could tell which stories were more action heavy, and which were more character heavy, by the suit on the cover. They only added the symbiotic parasite part later, specifically to newer adaptations, *AFTER* they already added Venom.
(Edit): And also Peter stopped wearing the cloth black suit because in Venom's introduction, he either kidnaps or just scares Mary Jane, but Eddie Brock is more of an anti-hero who is goofy and also needs a chemical often found in certain types of brains to survive, but also found in chocolate, and apparently specifically not in chicken brains, which is what the chickens kept as pets is supposed to refer to in the second Venom movie, and the hankering for chocolate at the end of the first.
(Edit): Actually, in the very vast majority of Rome gladiator matches, it was basically what WWE is today, and they usually used stuff like nets in fights. I haven't heard you say "TO THE DEATH" yet, but with how common a misconception based on Hollywood BS, I felt like preemtively clarifying that death matches rarely happened and only in very specific scenarios.

Hello sky .. so when you have 2 people fighting while others watch in a big Arena it’s called gladiator match .. they made a movie also with the same name..Miles has really come into his own in this game 👍
