Black To Polished Bars - VW T6 Side Bar Replacement

STOP!!!
Before fitting side bars to your van, always consider the material the bars are made from.
Sometimes cheap isn't always best! And in the long run can end up costing you more than buying a quality set in the first place.
When choosing side bars for your VW Transporter T5 T6, Ford Transit Custom etc... find a pair made from quality stainless steel for longevity.
If polished isn't your thing, then you can also source side bars made from stainless steel which have been powder coated.
In this video we remove the existing black steel Trapezoid side bars and replace with polished stainless steel bars. This was due to rust spreading under the powder coat.
We always recommend polished or powder coated stainless steel side bars. NOT Mild steel.
Running mudflaps in addition to the side bars always help reduce damage the side bars may receive due to stone chips and debris.
