Iv got a 2018 T6 and iv had it 1 year. After 1 month of owning it the EGR failed and needed replacing. 4 months after that the DPF cracked internally and also needed replacing. Around 2 weeks after that the adblue injector failed. Then around 6 months after all the my timing belt tensioner failed and snapped the timing belt 😒 not had much luck with mine 😅 its only got 65,000 on clock too

Electric window could also be a broken wire in the door bellows.

Great video! Which T6 would you say is the most reliable? I need some good advice! Cheers!

But still a lot more reliable than a transit custom

If I were thinking of buying a T6 after watching your video I wouldn't. Having had my 2018 T6 from new, I wouldn't buy another. Broken front spring at 21,000 miles (current mileage) VW fixed it for cost of parts, labour free (could have taken it elsewhere for cheaper lol) Still get 2 yrs warranty. Which by the way VW regarded the original springs as consumable and only give them 6 months warranty from new so work that one out. Battery issues from new. Still not resolved now it is out of warranty. I haven't changed the cam belt. Will do next year when it is 6 yrs old. Inspected it, looks fine. Won't be doing the water pump though not with such low mileage. Got high idle speed now. No wouldn't touch one again. Thanks for the video. Regards Stephen

Uk roads are appalling tho. Broken tarmac, sunken drain covers and pot holes everywhere and getting worse. Not comparable to Europe and where the cars are made.

100% agree. 2 words that will never feature in my vocabulary when talking about a new car/van are VW and diesel.

It does have an EGR valve and EGR cooler. I bought a 2018 T6 with 100k miles and the engine management light came on after leaving the dealer. It went back twice for EGR valve (didn’t fix it) and then EGR cooler (which fixed it). I now have an issue with squeaking belt/pulleys but can’t tell which one!
