Anandita was literally the most lesbian person in the whole group. She talked about denial, compulsory heterosexuality, thinking she was bi because she thought all woman were attracted to men, dealing with a close minded and non-progressive family, and the struggles of being a lesbian whoâs feminine and a poc. Like, thatâs the most stereotypical lesbian life experience Iâve ever heard.
She was the most. I knew she was telling the truth and also Desire
@Caitlin O'Malley yeah i thought she was the mole
she definitely spoke about very important things and understood lesbian struggles but none of them were the most lesbian.
idk why but calling someone âmostâ lesbain rubs me the wrong way, why is it a competition
@@sen1818 Well it kinda is a competition in this situation, what the other person probably meant was that she was the one that SEEMED most lesbian...the game is about finding out who isnt lesbian, so ofc they will look at eachother and judge who seems least lesbian.
It's interesting that Anandita kept saying that just because she's feminine-presenting doesn't make her any less of a lesbian and got voted out, yet the mole was more masculine-presenting, gained the trust of everyone, and won.
This video had a lot of interesting take aways... one of the best odd man out videos in many different aspects
exactly. and rachel was the first one to get vote off and sheâs also fem-presenting
Because she was really annoying and didn't answer questions
@@fellith4295 I definitely see that as reason for her getting voted out, but I still think the point she made was valid. Society has a stereotypical view of what lesbians look like, and that view won, even if it isn't an accurate view. That's more of what I meant.
Women in todayâs age feel âoppressâ by men, so they take it upon themselves to ack more masculine to compete.
anandita shouldnât have been treated the way she was, she was trying to talk about a lot of hard experiences and realizations sheâs had as a lesbian and i felt like everyone else was just shutting her down :(

@@cns9265 No, they're right. Her problems/questions shouldn't have been dismissed so easily when they are very real and should be spoken about. The other lesbians were very weird with the way they shut her down for no reason except for a "bad feeling" very clearly rooted in racism. You are just as bad as them.
@@toastybread9267 don't make ur own assumptions and be real . Can u give me the timestamp of the racist part?

Y'all saw Isabelle's printed button down shirt and her short hair and you ATE IT UP. Anandita, my queen, we will get justice for you.
She literally dressed as a stereotypical lesbian and ended up winning. She got offended when anandita asked GOOD questions and that made me so upset

Frr I could tell she was gay just from the intro đ
Not that it's right, but I think they dinged her for repeating the same thing..maybe if she had talked about an ex or someone she found attractive, it would have worked in her favour
@Violet VB she wasnât tho, she was speaking truthfully
I KNOW I knew she was a lesbian the moment I saw her, and the way she talked about compulsory heterosexuality just backed it up further.

âI didnât have to read anything to know Iâm a lesbian.â That felt very shame based and thatâs amazing you didnât have to but thatâs not everyoneâs experience. Anandita sharing her experience was such a vulnerable thing and I wish they wouldâve been softer and kinder about her experience.
This! While I sort of think she was just making a joke about her realization, It was hella bad timing and very dismissive.
i know i hated that, it kinda made me feel bad about having to have read the master doc too, but now its been called out and im realizing that was 100% shame based
Anandita's worst nightmare came true, denied by her own community and she was pretty pissed and has all the right to feel that way.
And there is a problem. We think because we should fit a community doesn't mean we do.
I wish the best for Anandita. I hope she finds a community that accepts her without projecting their biases on to her. She deserves the world.
No one questioned Isabelle because she looks like a âtypicalâ stereotype of a mainstream lesbian đ
exactly! but the feminine lesbian was voted out.. weird.
she also didn't get a single vote against her. She looked like the stereotypical lesbian
Fr like im a girly girl and a lesbian đâđŒ im done with these people pretending that a sexuality choses your clothing style
I figured she was a red herring for exactly that reason.
I literally knew it was her and was shocked they didn't vote for her once đ„Ž
Anadita looks just so disappointed in everyone
I would be too

i am as well
I would be dissapointed too
honestly i am too
I love how olive stood up for anandita. madeline and isabelle were mad weird
Fr, and the fact that Isabelle was the mole and said she has wierd feelings was kinda eh- I understand she's trying to hide being the mole but like still
yeah honestly Madeline was very defensive towards me when I made a comment about her earlier ( I deleted it btw)
@@zara2634 what did she say

Anandita looked so upset over it at the end I feel so bad for her. She didn't deserve that. Her experience as a fem lesbian was invalidated repeatedly
How was it invalidated? Most of them agreed with her, Rachel showed it very clearly that she agreed. I think she just took it way too personal BECAUSE her sexuality has been questioned many times before. The purpose of the game was to question peopleâs sexuality but she felt unnecessarily attacked and came across as stand offish. Itâs just harder to vote out people you like and when she was acting snappy it was easier to vote her out.
@jesus Is a homo Lol sure âI am the problemâ, I am a femme myself and I do get questioned but it has always been by people outside the community. Within the community Iâve never had anyone question it. Iâm not saying it doesnât happen but to claim it is what happened in this video is ridiculous. Even Anandita wrote in this comment section that she didnât think that was the reason she got voted out, she said she made a lot of points that they didnât include but on her speed-defense she repeated the femme-thing but she also said that she just took the first thing to mind. It was a game where you were supposed to question peopleâs sexuality and they voted out 3 people on very loose grounds - because thatâs the game. I donât think anyone wouldâve been âquestionedâ about their sexuality from each other if these women had met in any other queer setting.
@@missylarsson3517 your reading of it is so accurate, I dont think any of them disagreed with her and I think they heard her out the first time she addressed it. But they kept suspicion because of her personality and what she was choosing to say repeatedly because she felt attacked (although people stated other reasons why they chose her, like her sounding like she's reading off of something for ex. which to me was she had a lot of emotion for that to be a script).
Don't blame her though, I understand that worry
Also Madeline shared her full thought process during the game on her tik tok where she says JUST THIS, and literally guessed the mole right but hesitated. And she's also feminine.
Literally almost all of them were fem, she wasn't even the mkst fem, tf u talking about
Anandita literally just came out to her parents. This is already such a vulnerable time for her. Iâm sure she is fresh out of a period of self reflection and questioning. For a community of older lesbians to shut her down and invalidate her like that? If I were her I would be so hurt and frustrated. I might even start questioning what Iâd thought to be true about myself. Very sad. You could tell she was genuinely frustrated at the end. Also, def some racism sprinkled in that mix. Anandita, there is an entire community of femme lesbians out there who see you and empathize with you!
exactly!
Why y'all be dramatic like this. They were just playing the game!
@Kaz people who realized they were lesbians way before she realized it
@@sevgi6026 We arent being dramatic⊠yall are just tone deaf to poc femme lesbian struggles
she deserves better. I felt so bad especially when it was the majority of white women in the call not viewing her countless experiences of being a WOC lesbian and not taking it seriously just because she's feminine
Everyone repeatedly voting for anandita and not a single vote for isabelle because she fits the lesbian stereotype, proved anandita's point perfectly.
yup!!!
YES
I literally suspected her since the start, What they did to Anandita was rlly unfair
I suspected Isabelle from the start somehow. Not exactly sure why though (not finished watching the video yet, haha)
no because anandita tried too hard to pro e that lesbians can be feminine too and acted like they didn't had much too talk about
âTheyâre Canadians, they wouldnât lie to me.â (gets voted out)
âThis is really sad. This means the Canadians betrayed me.â

It upsets me so much how a white straight women was so hard-core on voting Anandita out. The way she was speaking on the poc, specifically indian experiences and no one cared to think about it or take it into account.
I hope Anandita can find comfort and love from others in her life/community.
fr i cant stand her and i feel so bad for anandita
I guess it was part of the game, but dang yeah...
I do think that Anandita was reading off of a paper for her questions, but that's because she wanted to be prepared to tackle the truth and it's hard to memorize such in-depth questions. As a bi (maybe lesbian? idk I'm still figuring it out) Indian woman myself, I completely understand what she's talking about with compulsive heterosexuality. I feel so bad for her đ„ș
It's because most things we learn about being a les in from the internet. Because in real we've never been validated. Also cause she's new
when rachel said "honestly, what's most disappointing is that it came down to the two most feminine people in the call" i felt that
I don't know- there were still two other very feminine lesbians left
i didnât like that part... i donât know it kind of felt like she was invalidating the femininity of the others?? like she wasnât really in a place to judge who is or isnt feminine and i would be kind of pissed if someone claimed they were more feminine than me after literally talking to me for a few minutes
@@slo629 not really. Them 2 weâre definitely the most feminine and most typical girl look

but she kept saying the same thing.

Iâm honestly really disappointed in Isabelle she went off of stereotypes and attacked all the young, feminine, and colored lesbians and it was really upsetting
Probably so the others don't vote for her. Being her a straight and the least feminine she had to disconstruct the stereotypes because she doesn't feat in the straight stereotype. I'm straight so I didn't know half the things discussed here but I think I'm an empathetic person and I try to understand.
She is trying to win...
I donât think I that she was the least feminine. Rachel, Anandita and Desire were all clearly feminine. Madeline, Olive and she were in between and Mel was the only one that I would call masculine (and even she would probably only be âsoftâ butch)
She didnât do anything wrong, it was part of the game and if she was a lesbian some people wouldnât see it in a badly way. Thatâs my opinion though.
Uhh yeah she's the mole of course she did, she wanted to win.

Anandita came in there hoping to properly discuss how lesbians and other people have treated her negatively from how she represents her sexuality, to the lesbians silencing her and treating her negatively.
literally! itâs so sad
Also saying stuff like "wow you're into the deep topics" like ffs isn't the game for discussion primarily??
Rubs me wrong that the straight mole was leading the charge on that
exactly
I agree but i didn't agree how she said that her being feminine was the reason she got voted off
the only reason Isabelle didnât get voted out is because she has short hair and a buttoned down shirt
sadly, she fitted the âstereotypeâ
Ok?
No i think it's because she just didn't say much special things and didnt really stand out too much and others were being voted because of random "hunches"
Facts. Her answers were the worst but other people were getting stereotyped so she flew under the radar lol
These people voted out the femmes and the POC - so typical. YT lesbians have a perception of what lesbianism looks like.
Literally it annoyed me sm
This.
i feel so alone as a non-binary femme presenting lesbian in the community
I don't think that's the reason, desire is both POC and femme and she stayed
â@@insertunoroginalnamehere6189 she got hella votes tiebreaker twice. While the real non lesbian got a total of 0 votes
Olive was the only one that caught on with the fact that someone aka the mole kept voting Anandita out
this!
I mean as a mole they probably thought Anandita was a threat
Yep, and it was interesting to see that no one believed them
First time Iâve seen someone in the group point that out, which was interesting
It reminded of an impostorâs strategy in among us too haha
What you mean that âcaught onâ? They just said it. Itâs obvious that the mole will go along with the others. Its not like Anandita wasnât being voted out by more people too from the start...
Indeed. I definitely thought Anandita was not the mole.
i def thought the mole would be bi because everyone's stories were convincing
Oh, gosh. Me too.
Me too.
but one of them at the start said they came out as bi
@@symeremeyers4148 i thought she saidnshe initially came out as bi until she was comfortable
Pretty sure two of them said they are bi. Anandita and Madelaine.
Isabelle played a dirty game, I donât trust her lol. Kept having âbadâ feelings about anandita knowing she was the mole
The fact she didnât get any votes(probably because she was presenting as what most people think a âlesbianâ looks like even though thereâs not any specific way lesbians look)
thatâs how most of them are tho
Ikr she kept on voting for her!
Looks like y'all don't know what a strategy isđđđ
â@@xxyy2597For real, people don't think logically. She came and went there to win.
"what's most disappointing is that it came down to the two most feminine people in the call" rachel and anandita. as a feminine bi woman, I felt that because people are often really surprised to find out I like women or they completely ignore it and act like I'm straight. I've been told I'm "faking my sexuality for attention" or to be "edgy". even though I have different experiences than them as lesbians, there's really not a lot of visibility in wlw culture for femme presenting people. anandita brought up a lot of very real struggles and things I know I've gone through and they dismissed her because she was a south asian femme.
What your not realizing is the subtle racism in Rachel's comment.
@@anissalewis9585 iâm sorry. iâm still learning, would you mind explaining what was racist about it? if not thatâs totally cool you donât owe me an explanation of anything.
@@camyoutube123 The comment you replied to, it might be about Rachel saying she was disappointed that the first elimination came down to "the two most feminine people," as if Desire isn't feminine also
@@GloomySunset you are right!! i didnât think of it like that thanks for educating me.
Anissa I agree, Desire was just as femme presenting, and you can see they came for her too while no one ever voted for Isabelle.
And Camille, you understand my heart, you know who you are, it sucks to be invalidated but you are far from alone
gosh this gave me such a bad feeling because of how they treated Anandita. Like she literally came out two weeks ago because of internalized homophobia and not wanting to believe it and then they all vote her out cus they donât believe her just bc sheâs nervous. Both femme lesbians were first to be voted out and the stereotypical lesbian-looking mole was never a suspect. gr8
LITERALLY. why did they keep coming after her
Desire and Madeline are also femme though? I really don't think that that was why they voted her out, like they said, it sounded a lot like she was reading of a script which someone pretending to be something would be very likely to do
You'd be surprised how often this happens on odd man out
I knew as soon as she said who wants to talk about wieners. Like no lesbian ever wants that as a topic even as a joke lol
She did keep looking over at scripted lines
The fact that they continuously voted Anandita put really bothered me she wasnât getting defensive she was making good points about the fact that there is an inherent bias against femme lesbians in the the lesbian community and as soon as she asked a thought provoking question it got pegged as âtoo deepâ she obviously had good points to make but wasnât allowed to by a few of the consistent voters against her Iâm glad Olive pointed out that it wasnât cool that people kept voting for her
I absolutely hate talking to people and we're going into a topic and someone says, "tOo DeEp". Like đ. I just wanna leave right there.
She just kept saying that she's not straight just because she's feminine though. Others like Madeline are femme but she never got voted out, I'd say Anandita got voted out cause she only talked about a single thing
@@-maquia-
I understand what you're saying, but I really think that what Anandita was trying to describe was that she was not "dressed gay" enough.
She still looked like a conservative straight Indian girl, and even the room she was in had no bold colours or any interesting items (like Isabelle's room, and whose appearance was also a recognisable style as a lesbian in media)
I personally think it was because she couldnât say anything personal making it seem less real
She looked like she was reading a script which made her seem sus
Wow this video made me really upset. With the way they were treating Anandita and Desire as inherently less queer for simply being feminine poc lesbians, the obviously strong stereotyping that allowed Isabelle to win simply because she had short hair and a collared shirt, Isabelle constantly saying she feels weird about Anandita for no reason(???), literally Madeleine saying âI trust herâ just because she looked a certain way is so aggravating. Anandita was rightfully disappointed that she got voted out so early and the masc presenting straight girl won. It all fell together. This video is a perfect display of the stereotypes and intersectionality that exists even within the LGBTQ+ community.
This made me so pissed I just realized isabelle didnât get a single vote against her
I was so surprised they voted Rachel out with the amount of gay books on her shelf loll
ikr. I saw her bookshelf and was immediately like- yeah she's good (ntm the astrology). Also ngl, straight people using the term "queer" is kind of a delicate topic; if she was straight and actually studying those things she probably would have been more careful or weary of it.
@@alexorr5772 exactlyyy
@@sagetorrisi7097 fr. you expect me to look at that iconic setup and think she's straight? honey no- that is a lesbian.
Right, also her makeup+that astrology map were screaming lesbian.
đđđđđ
they literally pissed me off so bad when they kept coming after Anandita like that. like she opened up about how being Indian caused a lot of internalized homophobia and how she JUST came to terms and accepted herself recently and they completely invalidated her. meanwhile they automatically believed the masc presenting straight woman. they also got mad at her when she asked about their negative experiences with other lesbians but then proceeded to be toxic as fuck towards her and prove her point. femmes are totally not taken seriously in this community and itâs super invalidating and isolating.
To me, she appeared like flat and disconnected (trauma can cause that) and that maybe threw people off. Some also could not really grasp the reason fully.
she literally kept repeating the same thing and was reading off of a script and then immediately accused everyone of targeting her for being fem when almost everyone in the group was also fem. maybe she just got voted off for being bad at the game đ€·ââïž

Can we stop bringing up race every single time as an excuse why someone was voted out/mistreated/ etc. This is a game, they literally have 15 seconds to answer, the race card shouldn't be automatically pulled out every chance possible to justify why someone got voted out. Stop victimizing POC on every single occasion, you are doing them no favor in this way.

I'm straight and was really interested in what Anandita had to say. Sad that she kept getting made out to be extra and too deep.
The way Isabelle kept saying she has a weird feeling about Anandita, while knowing for a fact she is a lesbian because she herself was the mole/straight girl, really rubbed me the wrong way.
YES! and like I get that she kinda has to say that for the camera but in the end she could've voted for anyone and no one would question it but she chose to go with anandita REPEATEDLY.

Yeah, especially her being India and a lesbian. There was no representation and the other whites just proved their racial bias
That's why a lot of people when they think about the Lgbtq community they only see white people. That's why representation is so important not only for white people

Though I think she was really nervous. I could see her eye movement like reading from a script when she was asking or answering questions. I think that lack of spontaneity was what made others suspected her. She seemed unhappy at the end while others were kinda enjoying sisterhood. I truly love how Jubilee shed light on so many facets and issues in our society. Plus, everyone gets to learn. Always awesome content
I definitely feel like the fact that they didn't see desire as one of the fem presenting ones even though she was completely feminine, is like deeply rooted in racial stereotypicalization, she dressed feminine but they still felt as if she presented as "masculine" or "agressive" without the intentions of it being that way.
Typically because of the fact that most or let's say the "greater side" of black lesbians are "studs" or "hard" or "masculine" and she didn't really present that so they made the assumption that she could have been straight, or not a fem Les.
I would say desire is even more fem presenting as rachel but because sheâs a black somebody we arenât seen as feminine unless is itâs hyper feminine
right! like look at her nails/accessories. she is at the same fem level as rachel at least look wise
I agree. Desire was actually my first guess for the mole tho lol
Exactly
I have to agree. It all boils down to black women not being seen as gentle enough to fill out the typical feminine role. Even in a community as accepting as the LGBTQ+ one, the black woman is seen as more aggressive; therefore: masculine. Was it the other girlsâ intentions to stereotype her? No. But it speaks to one of the many assumptions society has of black women.
