Haha! Glad you guys aren’t afraid of giving MVP to unlikeable characters! But you’re right, considering what the blue lock program is about, he really did choose the best play for himself here.
It was a short sighted decision. Because even if Kuon sold team Z and moved on without them, he still wouldn't have passed the second selection.
Yup, the key point is HERE. He doesn't know what next round selections is, and yet he's already gonna be branded a 'must avoid player'. His skill is average too so no sane player is gonna team up with him if he succeeded his plan.
How is this comment 3 weeks old? Also it would be true egoist move if he switched sides to Team Z after scoring 3 goals for free. It would perfectly be easy win.
If he really chose play for himself, after have 3 goal he can do betrayed back team W. So team Z will win even if not pass to second selection he still the top score.
@@gsintampalam on the other thought, his decision was maybe right if he could eliminate team Z because their members are too strong and beating team W will be easier for him in later stages. With their win, team Z will have higher chances to draw against team V and survive.
Carlie & Ange cheering for Kuon at the start was so gloriously painful.
It only took 6 episodes for Carlie to wish for ppl to blow out their ACLs 💀😂 sports…nothing like it 🤣

I was watching this anime with my sister when it first came out, Kuon was her favorite while I was actively hating on him just to piss her off, imagine my joy when he was revealed to be a RAT

That would have secured the win against Team W, but I'm sure his main concern was the team after that. He probably thought they had no chance and, if that's the case, it's also in his interest keeping his teammates from scoring.

Nagi is far to be the the king 😁 some players are above him (if you read the manga you know the names) but he has a great potential so in the futur he could finish top 4
regarding the MVP, I really can't say much without spoiling but the goal is to become the world's best striker as you become the last player in blue lock not just the latter part. Goals by cutting a deal with the other team isn't something that can be done consistently hence that skill has no worth becoming the best striker in the world.
agree. i get that bluelock is all about selfishness & ego, but personally, i can't even call what kuon did 'an ego'. Even Ego himself will have something to say about it in later eps.
Playing dirty won't get you far, first you'll lose trust with your teammates, eventually even your opponents will lose trust too. Without skill or being able to play dirty, what are you? A snake
Yeah I agree, but the issue is that from this episode the only other possible MVP would be the Wanima brothers and I guess you can't give MVP to two people so Kuon wins it by default. Although personally I'd make an exception and give MVP to the Wanima brothers even though it means giving MVP to multiple people

I feel like MVP discussion comes down to how we want to define MVP. If we go by who scored the most points or displaying behavior most in line with the "blue lock ideology" as we understand it then sure Kuon. If you go by who benefited or is benefiting the team the most then I'd argue since he's actively playing for the other team to win, he's actually LVP and the twins on the other team would arguably be MVPs since they agreed to a plan that is setting them up for a massive advantage of 12v10 and they scored a bunch of points. No matter what, it looks like someone terrible is getting MVP this episode though lol.
Yeah I would have given the Wanima brothers MVP but I guess you can't give MVP to more than one person which is why they chose Kuon instead

Finally someone appreciate how good the twist was, I've seen a lot of people get mad and nitpicking how stupid his plan was just because they feel dumb for not seeing it coming, that's how good the setup for the betrayal was
