Great tutorial. This is the video I was asking for, thanks. Keep it up, you're doing a great work raising awareness about HDRP and bridging the gap between SRP world and older rendering pipelines and workflows.
Thank you so much I was freaking out when this happened I watched at least 5 tutorials on how to get rid of the pink textures and this is the only one that worked
Thank you so much for all your videos and clear explanations UnityGuruz. Also your voice makes me feel relaxed and makes it easy for me to learn all of Unity's graphical Portions. Subscribed, and thank you again!
Your tutorials are some of the best I've ever seen. Very relevant for people like me working in the current versions. The problem I have is when I find something like in effect on the asset store after my project is set up it messes up my project when iimport it and seems to revert everything back to old settings. It is very frustrating.
Wow. This is the exact asset i am using in my game right now for environment. Its like Deja Vu you have chosen same asset for making this video :) Anyway nice video.
This video is very valuable: Thing about software development, coding is different than learning techs which are the mind of another engineer. Coders aren't automatically a mind reader. Imagine you bought a new car. Yes, you can read time. You know the clock is off by an hour, but how do you set the clock? Radio presets? Air conditioner? Brake and gear shift combos? You don't know until someone tells you. Thanks UGuruz for telling me. Watch for Starfighter General MMO on steam. :)
thank you so much, im a bit lost, it's very different than the standard shader i use with Substance designer and Painter, it's very complicated to convert for the HDRP, there is some issue with for example opacity map and alpha map especialy on fabric texture, it's work fine with the standard version but with the HDRP everything became complex, but i must admit the lighting render are much better. i just need to re learn new stuff...
I suspect that DefaultSceneRoot doesn't save changes not because it is default, but because you need to overrides changes as you always do when you modify a prefab. DefaultSceneRoot is a standard prefab. Other than that it is the most helpful tutorial on new HDRP pipeline I have found so far.

I have been experimenting with Unity's HDRP and for the life of me I can't figure out what's going on, everything off in the distance and the tops of mountains are all over-exposed and are almost solid white. I had a problem with the terrain looking like glass as well, in 3D Modeling programs you can just turn the refletiveness of the material down to fix this but with terrain layers I don't see a way to do it....Could anyone perhaps send me to a video that might explain this, I can't seem to find any. I went through your tutorial and it seemed to look better but my Terrain materials still look like glass and things far away as well as the tops of the mountains are white.

Hey, Nice tutorial. I am new to unity I want to know that how can i use roughness and AO maps with hdrp? Is there a way to use those maps with a mask map. Because I have a maya scene with all the texture maps expect mask map, And it will take a lottt of time creating mask map for every object. Please Help!!!
Hey, Great tutorial! But I have a problem that my gun gets stuck in the wall. In the universal render pipeline and in the standart pipeline there is a way to fix this, but it's hard for me to fix this problem in HDRP. There are also no videos that show how to fix this issue. I heard something about custom render passes but there are no videos about that. Please help me this is very important. ❤️
Well that's a different topic. I think you will need a different camera to render gun and one camera for background object. Then you set you gun camera priority to higher. I don't exactly remember but in this video can find your answer. czcams.com/video/Z3f0CYArn34/video.html
after istalling HDRP in a standard 3D project, my camera turns to black and my objects in the editor as well as the game view disappeared but they are still present in my hierarchy and can be edited using the inspector.
@@UGuruz Thank you responding! And thank you for the video. I do understand that HDRI night sky would be fine, although I was thinking about a non-HDRI texture, just like you can do in normal cube skymat. But I guess that's out of the question in this case.
Im sorry Im having a problem, when you disabled your directional light and sky and fog volume, your scene still had a bit of light. When I did that, my entire scene was dark (pure black). Then I followed you with enabling the directional light and setting Lux to 10000 and everything is EXTREMELY BRIGHT (very very white). Did you change some settings in your project that you didnt record? Because I did everything exactly as you did but Im getting way different results
With sun light 10000 you will also need to setup a Sky and fog volume with correct sky exposure. You can see at 09:48 my scene was also very bright before I changed the sky exposure.
@@UGuruz Yes I did that, it got even more white. In your video when you set it to 10k lux, your sky/fog volume was not on. But I already found the problem. In your video since the beginning in HDRP Settings the post processing settings were all on. For some reason in my case there were only 3 of them on instead of 8.
