    The BodySolid unit you have is a light commercial product that is found at hotel gyms and personal training studios. I like that you can do seated leg curls and a whole of other movements. Another benefit is the pulley ration is 1 to1.
    Love your setup with the Powertec Workbench and the half rack for squats.

    Great review. I was contemplating this unit and the Tuff Stuff SXT550. I needed a dual stack system for multiple users, so ended up going with the GS9 instead. I really wish the GS9 had the same leg extension/ curl system this one does. I would have preferred the bi-angular chest press also, even though its not as adjustable as the fixed press, the movement is amazing. Overall Body Solid equipment is well designed and excellent quality.

      That's awesome, the G9S is actually my dream unit but when I was looking during COVID it was sold out everywhere or there were shipping issues. So I went with the F600 and honestly have no complaints. Having a leg press (it can be added to the F600) would be nice but I don't need an excuse to skip squats :-D Thanks for the comment.

      @@BIGACHX5The Leg Press on GS9 is very smooth, its worth it if you have the space. i think its the same attachment for your unit also.
      The Tuff Stuff leg press looks incredible though, more adjustment and full range of motion.

    Thanks for this comprehensive review! I need your honest opinion, the Body-Solid Fusion F600 or the PowerTec Levergym? I only have space for one and I want an all-in-one workout machine for all my gym needs. Thew 310lb weight stack seems enough for me.

    • @BIGACHX5
      @BIGACHX5  Před 6 měsíci

      If I was only able to buy one I would go with the powertec levergym. I think it would be the better value but you have to buy the other attachments for the levergym like leg extension / leg curls plus the pec fly. I love having both and I use both... But if I only bought one I would do the powertec. A true dedicated low pulley is also very useful for so many different movements.

    Thanks for the detailed review. Honestly, the company website does not have even bare minimum info to make a purchase decision. I'm glad I saw your review. I'm debating between this and G5S. Looks like that has no seated leg curl. How would you compare them? thanks!

    • @BIGACHX5
      @BIGACHX5  Před 11 měsíci

      The G5S is cool and I think i probably would've bought that if it was available at the time I made the purchase. It has a true low pulley and I like the pec Dec on it (although I typically prefer pec decs that are attached to the top than the bottom). But you really can't go wrong with either one and yes it does not have a seated leg curl. But I think the pros outweigh the cons.

    Nice setup! I was thinking about buying a functional trainer, but now I am thinking about this piece or the bodycraft elite. Seems like a good complement to the levergym. I have the powertec multi press, squat machine, and attachments. This would be a good fit in my gym with all the options.

    • @BIGACHX5
      @BIGACHX5  Před rokem

      Thanks for checking out the video. This is a great unit but in my opinion it does not replace a true functional trainer, I guess it depends what you want to do with it. If you want a true functional training experience with the thousands of movements it offers then I'd focus on a functional trainer and not this unit. There are still some movements that just don't feel right on the functional arms with this. Plus you may face some range issues.
      But if you want a great multipress, a great leg station, a great lat pull down and a great seated row... With 'some' functional trainer movements then this unit covers it.

      @@BIGACHX5 I had a functional trainer but ended up selling it. It was a plate loaded trainer. Total pain setting up the weights kind of glad it’s gone. Do you get a good contraction using it? Thanks for the insight.

      @@Charlietales2022 I love the lat row!!! Ended up liking it a whole lot more than I thought I would.
      In the Fusion F500 you use the press arms for the lat row but in this F600, as you can see, the unit has its own dedicated lat row arms and yes the contraction is great... Never had any range of motion issues.

    Thank you for the detailed review! Can you comment on the consistency of the leg curl and leg extension exercises? I’ve read some reviews stating that it was harder (more tension) at the start but easy (less tension) at the end. I’m very interested in this unit as it one is the only units that has a seated leg curl and converging chest press but trying to make sure all the movements are quality. Thank you!

    • @BIGACHX5
      @BIGACHX5  Před rokem

      I can honestly say that I MUCH prefer doing leg extensions and leg curls on this machine than I do on the commercial units in the gym. The tension is consistent throughout the entire range of motion. No issues at all with that.
      One thing to note though...
      When doing leg extensions, due to the pulley setup, the weight is doubled. So you're actually able to go really really heavy on it.
      On the flip side, When doing leg curls I believe it's a 1:2 ratio meaning you're getting half the resistance than what's on the stack, which makes for a very smooth movement.
      The leg station on this unit is honestly a hallmark of the machine, many home gyms have crappy leg stations, but I can't say that about this one. You won't be disappointed.

    • @BIGACHX5
      @BIGACHX5  Před rokem

      @@charlesvisconti4278 MAYBE... But I seriously doubt it. First you'd have to do like me and remove the metal shrouds, depending on how long the the gym pin is, it may hit the mid row station, and if you have the press arms in the back position it will probably hit those on the way up. Even if the gym pin itself is not banging onto anything, it could possibly work with a 10 lbs plate or maybe a 25 lbs plate, but I think the 45 lbs plate would bang into the various arms.

    Hello. I'm 6'3" with long legs. From the 4th question, a Spanish-speaker of just about my height is asking in general, I think, whether this home gym is tall enough for someone of our height. I'm reluctant to buy this gym if I can't sit in it and see if I fit. People of any height can have significantly different length arms, legs, etc., but I infer from the response to Antonio that with the seat in the lowest position it probably should fit us, but you also replied that one has to try it out. Second question: Is there a retailer of Body-Solid in the San Francisco Bay Area that I could visit to see if this home gym would fit me through my routine? Thanks for reading through my long question. Regards.

      @@gixerson8212 you can absolutely get incredible gains with this. Especially with a leg press add on, you will definitely be getting full body coverage. Now the reason someone probably told you that you're better off hitting the gym is because you could probably benefit from some barbell work like bench, squats, and deadlifts. Since you mentioned that you are skinny and it sounds like you're just starting off some of the barbell movements will work wonders. Barbell exercises should be the foundation but that doesn't eliminate the benefit of using this unit. Doesn't really have to be an either/ or type situation.

      I like it a lot. Use it every week. I find that the movement gets tougher at the top when compared to the bottom but the difference is really not huge. I've never used either the M3 or M2 so I can't comment. However as you know Inspire is a solid company so you can't go wrong. Plus it has a dedicated low pulley which is something that the F600 is lacking.

    • @BIGACHX5
      @BIGACHX5  Před rokem

      The G3S is a solid unit but there are a few things that would stop me from getting it.
      1. No pec Dec or cable fly
      2. Leg holders for lat pull down are extremely wide and may cause pain in the inner thighs during heavy lat pull downs
      3. All roller pads do not have leather covers but instead are just pieces of exposed foam
      But besides that I think it's decent value. If you can get the G5s that may be a better choice.

      @@BIGACHX5 That's very cool. Thank you for the reply. I just wanted to explain my interest. I've been going to gyms over 20yrs. Mainly for pysiotherapy so I can walk like normal, but I also really enjoy it. In the last few years there's 3 companies like "Planet Fitness" (But much worse for stupidity) invaded the UK and out priced most private owned gyms. And I find going to the gym really stressful now.
      I was going to make my own home gym and found these 2 machines have the best range of exercises and best value quality for cost.
      So when I saw you had these 2 machine I took a vested interest in your videos, and wanted to express my gratitude. Especially your calm attitude, I don't get why so many people think high energy excitment is needed in every social media video.
      I know it takes about 10 times the screen time to make a video. And from your pics, you've definitely got a real life as well. So I know it'll be a while.
      So I wanted to ask a few things if you could cover them.
      Can you do exactly what you did for the F600 great concise info, it was 15 mins but it wasn't boring. I watched it in full and then a few replays of different sections.
      1. Can you explain the cable lever weight ratio. Does a 10kg/20lbs plate feel like 10kg/20lbs on the upper/lower pully?
      2. There's a few people with the generic versions of the power tec who have made videos of additional exercises like hyperextentions with the squat bar at waist height. Or high glute kickbacks kneeling on the bench and kickingback the single arm. etc. Have you worked out any extra exercises?
      3 if you've had any disappointments or had to do any work arounds to get the best veriation of a perticular exercise.
      4. This ones a bit specific, do you use any generic attatchments in the powertec bench.
      I know that's a lot, but I'm really interested in this. And thanks again.
