This video is a lifesaver. The instructions that came with the toilet seat were utterly useless although anything remotely involving assembly fails me. In matter of minutes I fitted the toilet seat following this video. Thank you very much.
Oh you Guns!!!!! I was half mad trying to work this out - the instructions only related to setting up the softclose mechanism ie no info about actually attaching the seat to the pan. Your vid solved everything! Thank you💕

Good tutorial.
It's also important to make sure the seat stays up unsupported. You may need to rotate the mounts so that the spindles are in front of the screws, not behind, to achieve this

Awesome, thank you for this simple guide. Had a seat go loose and had no idea how to remove and tighten. Use to the seat bolts you can access underneath. As soon as I saw the release button, my self fix was easy!

That's brilliant i realise now that i had got the plastic which the long screw fits into upside down no wonder the seat felt loose, i can now have another go at it.... The paper diagram which came with the seat was hard to understand fortunately i worked it out for myself but i must say it felt like putting a jigsaw puzzle together.

Some have butterfly screws unser the back, that´s the easy bit! ;)

I did exactly as this video shows, I think it's actually the same seat and set as mine and it's not a solid tight install because the plugs you put in are not tight

I have tighted the screws as much as possible, but within a couple of weeks the seat has oved back or so that it's at an angle - is there any way to stop that?
Align with pencil mark? Didnt understand that part. Align the prongs or screw or black caps? Looked out by a bit. Perhaps camera angle made it look wrong?

The fixing holes in our toilet are 20mm, most fittings seem to be 17mm, how can we attach a new seat? Any ideas please?

Some toilets there is a rubber spacer. Did you find a fix for yours?
I have a Ergo Height High Elongated toilet and my previous tenant didn’t say anything and the top seat cover is broken and stinks. I tried looking on canadian tire and other websites but I couldn’t find it. So I don’t know what is the standard size. If you have an email address I can send you the picture of my toilet seat. Is it possible to put any other toilet pot cover or it has to be the same one. Please help

Agree. Instructions that came with toilet seat and hardware are useless. Plus the replacement seat hardware does not come with a new insert to screw bolt in. This is the most important part to replace because it deteriorates bc of the "Wet" environment
Bought 4 seats so far for our toilet and none have this fitting and they all break after a while
I was worried that the distance between plug holes would be the factor stopping me from installing my new toilet seat. But no, what stopped me was that the plugs don't fit in the holes

@@Nathan-H There was a sub set of instructions in the installation guide for alternative styles of toilet fittings. I followed those instructions and they worked for my style of toilet seat. Good luck
The white plastic fixings that go through the actual ceramic toilet that came with my seat are wide to fit. Any ideas on how to solve this please.
This means fixing from underneath. One side is great, the other is a struggle to tighten. I am scoping narrower wells, too.
Same here! I have cut the bottom from the top (through the thin 'wires').

It seems to be the most common method to secure a modern seat regardless of the shape Mark.
Each manufacturer does have it's own variations but most are now quick release.
Video was not help I order a wooden toilet it's set up different what kit I should use
I bought an NTS004 from Victoria Plumbing. The instructions were okay but this includes the bit about lining up holes in the bog with those in the bog seat. This will save me a bit of time and bad language!
It's mildly disturbing that the toilet seat doesn't cover the edges of the bowl. Is it supposed to be like that?
