How dare this game be so addicting
Came for the strawberries, then stayed for the historical lesson, technical lesson, and artistic inspiration.
KITTY!!!!!!!!
Fantastic presentation and costume. Inspired.
I am in awe of you and this masterpiece
I am crocheting a baby blanket for one of my friends while watching your video!
The "I'm just making this poofy Miku cosplay and I'm done" to "How hard can it be to get into lolita again" to "I'm making a Sakizo." pipeline is real and my wallet is trembling for this new hyperfixation on sewing in falling into! Strawberry Supremacy!!
To be honest I’ve always been into Lolita style clothes and seeing that strawberry dress made me want it ;-;
Yes! Strawberry supremacy!
"I just want to walk around the dealers room and have people tell me I'm pretty" is the most relatable quote. I always say I like someone's cosplay even passing by, I know how much serotonin i get from someone saying that I know people will likely too.
When i heard "Im doing this full time now" i SQUEALED. Im such a huge fan of your work, your so incredibly talented and i look up to you SO MUCH. The first ever cosplay piece i sewed was a witch hat for my Phantombur cosplay to vidcon, last year, my first ever convention, and i couldn't have done it without your Mona hat tutorial. It genuinely made me feel so confident and so proud of myself and i just kept repeating "im a 13 year old with zero sewing experience, and i made a whole hat." Thanks for your amazing content, you've inspired me so much and idk how to thank you, and also congrats! Im happy that you can do what you enjoy full time :)

@@burpinbubs2112 what’s wrong
Watching the whole process really brought me back to my memories of when I attempted to create a Kingdom Hearts Donald Duck cosplay nearly ten years ago having ZERO experience with even touching a sewing machine lol this really makes me want to attempt it one more time :p Seeing as I think this showed up in my suggestions cos I was watching some videos on crocheting as I suddenly started this crochet bag that I want to make to carry my Steam Deck around LOL
You definitely should
I didn't expect to see Edward here, but yo! Guess CZcams recommended the same thing.
I'm in the same boat as you! Very first sewing project is a whole ass cosplay. I'm on the last week and making nice progres, will likely finish by con! It's really rewarding to see the fabric turn into Qiqi (the character I'm cosplaying). Also, made a scrap toile and one that is actually a nice summer dress, so that's nice!
EDDIE??
what are you doing here, Eddie??
"Not everybody likes sewing and not everybody likes making stuff. Especially when you're two strawberries in and youre already regretting it. Or your two yards into a ten yard lattice- it feels like suffering.
But when you take the time to put yourself into a cosplay by hook, or by needle or by glue, there is no greater feeling than putting all of that on for the first time and getting to say, "I did that""
I'm sobbing 🎉 proud of you for always looking for new techniques and making just the prettiest of gowns ❤
Oh... Lattice. Not lettuce ... 😅That make so much more sense😂
A whole HOUR while I'm trying to finish a cosplay for my first competition. We have been blessed!
P.S. - did you CROCHET your pop filter? That's adorable omg.
Good luck with your competition.
@@pelikan2 Aw thank you friend!!
Good luck
Okay, commenting again after I've watched the whole thing - I LOVE LOVE LOVE your message at the end. My early years in cosplay I was surrounded by some people who viewed people who cosplayed the same thing as really vicious competition. When I finally got out of that and got into a group of people all cosplaying the same character who supported each other, it was like a completely different hobby. (shoutout to the Agent Carter ladies heyoooooo)
man there was a whole genre of sakizou homestuck cosplay we called it "fancy tier" and there was a couple fanartists that drew it but now i see they were 100% inspired by sakizou
I designed a fancy tier Jade outfit about a year or two ago, wanting to cosplay Homestuck again after so long, and I had this same realization. I wasn't sure which came first (fancy tier or the popularization of cosplaying Sakizo) but I definitely saw a pattern of fanciful rococo costume design in the community picking up speed.
I remember those! I think the artist rumminov started them and they had a design for like every character
I am a crocheter and that is how I found your video. I am not a cosplayer BUT I am very impressed with your skills and your transparency when it comes to all the mistakes you made. I really appreciate you taking the time to make this video and show your process! You have a new subscriber
the fact that the line "I invite you to stand on my shoulders to reach higher than I ever will" has me in TEARS
you look amazing btw im going to start making my own cosplays because of you
I’m in the same boat, this channel has me incredibly excited to get into cosplay after I graduate ✨✨✨
For some reason I teared up a bit too
I have no knowledge on sewing nor this atypical fashion, and yet here I am. I must kick myself in the butt and get started
Girl is just obsessed with Strawberries, a dress, Miku and now this. Love it
That first twirl reveal was so unbelievably majestic I really just do not have the words to describe how it made me feel
The way I didn’t even notice the length of the video until the end when you said it - time flew by so fast due to your amazing storytelling and captivating way of making this video. I just found you and I think I’m gonna stay
That final quote of “I did that” spoke so much to me. I’ve been in a pretty big creative burnout and seeing the joy of creation in this project -and the rest of the channel- is a major source of inspiration and motivation. Obviously there’s still a great way to go to get out of this burnout and art-blocked phase, but I’m so glad I am reminded of my love to create each video you make.
HAHA ANOTHER RANBOO FAN!!!
Your costumes are truly *a work of art* I hope you know it, because including me you’ve inspired so many people and I’m all here for it
As someone who has just got into sewing, this was so educational and entertaining to watch! And the final product was amazing, THREE WEEKS?? You are a goddess ❤
Nice pfp
I'm so TERRIFIED of the sewing machine, I don't think I could ever get into sewing, as irrational as i know my fear is- but i love to watch other people do it! And the result is always so amazing! Bravo
I love how you were talking about the giants of cosplays from 2013 and ten years later you are a giant in your own right! You are amazing and this is STUNNING 😍💕
As someone who is currently spending all my time crocheting a sunny side up egg blanket, I love this (and your new sewing area!)
omg I have an egg blanket someone else made YEARS AGO, i still treasure it
Angela's take on Royal Milk Tea remains as one of my all-time favourite cosplays ever to this day. The work she put into it and the detail of her rundown are so impressive. I go back and reread it regularly, both as a seamster myself and purely for the enjoyment of it.
To hear that you are doing this full time now really made me a little emotional, you are truly one big inspiration for tons of cosplayers out there but also to people like me, someone who has been watching you for years just hoping to one day get the courage to start making cosplays as well! Thank you for all the joy and knowledge your videos bring us and I'm beyond excited to see you create in your new space, giving life to all the incredible projects that are to come ♡
DEEP DIVES ARE BACK LETS GOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I absolutely love how you present a mini history lesson behind what you're making. The whole fit turned out STUNNING!!!!!!!!! You also perfectly summed up my love hate relationship with sewing. The process SUCKS, but I keep coming back because I LOVE looking at something and knowing I made it.
I love your videos! The way you edit, the way you write script and tie everything well together! Your sewing skills and cosplay! You are such well-rounded creator! I'm happy that we have one more high quality cosplay video maker!!! Honestly, I bet you will have 1mln in no time! ♥
Thanks so much! Tying together all the random stuff that comes out of my mouth when im making stuff is honestly my biggest challenge so Im so glad you see that effort!
1) Congrats on being able to make stuff full time ❤🎉
2) When I saw Merge Gardens, I instantly thought of how easy it would be for you to cosplay as her bc the resemblance IS THERE! Lol love it!
3) YOU SLAYED THAT LOOK!!! 🙌🙌🙌
4) Great video! I like how you present as a whole..... you really have a great formula here for what you're doing on these videos!
5) If you ever feel defeated, overwhelmed, or stressed, know that your audience is here to cheer ypu on, not put pressure on you ❤
Keep crafting, you super star! And again, congrats on being able to go full-time!
I never cried before when somebody announced they became full-time CZcamsr...Well, a first for everything!
Not even a minute into the video and already know I’m going to love it
same lol
As a beginner cosplayer, I’m so endlessly inspired by your work. Your dedication and attention to detail is amazing and the production quality of your videos is ✨top tier✨ They’re just so entertaining to watch and I feel like I’m also catching up on some cosplay-community-lore™️ at the same time. So thank you!🥹💕
this cosplay is like a round two of miku with the endless ruffles and strawberries 😭 your videos inspired to start making my own strawberry miku cosplay and I’m hopefully going to be competing in it too!
Omg good luck!!
Sarah!! I’m so proud of you for being able to do this full time!! And thank you so much for making that last comment about inviting everyone to stand on your shoulders, I remember watching you make Strawberry x Miku and thinking “oh I’d love to make this one but I don’t want to steal her thunder” and then when you won HolMat in it I was like “oh now I really can’t do it” and I appreciate you being so welcoming to both new and experienced cosplayers alike 🥰
I found you threw your Miku cosplay and now being here for this is a pleasure, you’ve inspired me to actually try to get into cosplay for real and not say “oh that’d be nice but I don’t have the time for it or the money.” You wouldn’t imagine how hard it is for me to do anything so actually motivating myself and remembering this is what I wanna do even if I don’t do it that much has really helped me thank you.
Your artwork is absolutely amazing, i was always kinda shy to actually cosplay, but thanks to you i started cosplaying. You're my favorite cosplay youtuber, and i want you to know how much this all means to me.
i just wanna say as someone who has only been cosplaying for one and a half years and is only now starting to make my own cosplays with small things like props and just starting to sew my own cosplays aswell, thank you. you have been an amazing insperation to me and you gave me the confidence to make my own props and sew my own cosplays just because its something i love. you taught me how to hem my first garment, or make my first prop. most of all, you taught me how to love what i do and to never let anyone change that. im not usually one for sap but your message at the end of this video made me remember why i love cosplaying and why i love this community. you may not have been here in person, but you have guided me every step of my journey and i will continue to follow you with yours. Thank you❤❤❤
the construction of the video/ the editing is perfect, the jumps between researching the artist to the actual doing of the cosplay are so smooth
Uhm... I'm sorry. You don't have permission to make me cry at the end of a COSPLAY VIDEO. You can't just ambush me with feels like that! I was decorating my grad cap with you playing in the background and now the feels are all over the plaaaace! 😭
If I see strawberries on clothing or costumes I always get reminded of you, because of your miku, the strawberry dress and this! Love it 🍓
I love it when I see anyone who combines my two favourite hobbies. Cosplay & crochet = fabulous. This turned out great. I've wanted to do a Sakizo Cosplay for awhile and now I want to do one even more.
Making a Sakizo cosplay seems like a rite of passage for any cosplayer 😆 I love seeing everyone's process and material gathering when they take on bringing these designs to life. Also, the strawberry transitions were ✨️chefs kiss✨️
I love when cosplayers team up and create the most amazing of masterpieces, very wonderful and lovely work UwU
This just came up in my recommendations, it seems shortly after you posted it. I'm SO IMPRESSED by the amount of work that went into this AMAZING costume! What an incredible amount of skill, talent, trial and error, experimentation, and just plain know-how that went into this. Definitely checking out your other works. WOW.
This is an exquisite piece of torture. It wasn’t torture to watch, quite opposite. I love stupidly intricate and detailed designs because the end result is always just so mind blowing. You can taste the blood, sweat, tears, and love that went into it. The devil is in the details and the temptation is strong ❤
It was so much fun to see how you used crochet in your design. I've been crocheting for years and that janky strawberry really reminded me of some of my earlier projects but the later ones looked so good!!
I don't even cosplay or sew but your videos bring me so much joy! You're insanely talented and I really enjoy listening to people talking about/explaining their own special interests. Also, as an artist, it's always super fulfilling to see other people work with drastically different mediums from mine. Seeing the whole process and seeing how everything comes together so beautifully at the end will never cease to amaze me. Will continue to watch your content always and forever!!!
As someone who is overly critical at myself if someone has already done a character "better than I could"....
You made me tear up at the end with the standing on the shoulders giants bit, thank you for giving me some perspective
Truly I appreciate the integrity and research you put into all of your videos. Firstly in being so willing to admit when things aren't going how you want, and the process to fixing them, as well as shouting out other creators for inspiring you and getting advise from them. I love hearing about other talented creators who specialize in different crafts.
The sentence: "brought to you by viewers like you," is so freaking nostalgic dude. Bring back memories of watching PBS kids 🥺
Oh my goodness I love the new room! It’s so pretty :0
Thank you! Im loving it so far, its so much more functional than the craftroom office was lol
I'm so proud of you for finally being able to do youtube/cosplay full time !!! Your content is incredible and I've always admired what you've been able to create while working a normal person job and I'm so excited to see what you get up to with even more time to give to it
you are truly and single handedly (for me at least!!) bringing back old cosplay youtube. i see in you mangosirene and dejavudea and all these amazing people, and it makes me so happy and makes so much sense that you were also watching their videos. i'm so happy for you that you are able to take the plunge and go full time !! so proud of you have what youve done. the energy you have is amazing. thank you for creating !!!!!
I resonated with the crochet blanket comment. It took my mom 19 years to make a blanket. She started crocheting in when my sis was a baby and finished when she was around 19.
I can't explain why, but your expression whenever you see yourself in your work makes me tear up each time. It's just me being like "you did it!!! You DID This!!" It just makes me so happy. Thank you for sharing these videos. They really do make me so happy.
i dont know how, but i always end your videos with such a big smile on my face and tears in my eyes. You give such a safe feeling that doing the things we love, doing the art we were meant to be doing, is worth our time and worth our efforts. You quickly became my faovurite channel on this website because i havent felt this anywhere else. Its so pure. Thank you for doing what you do. I hope i grow up to be like you
As an artist myself I looove seeing cosplayers make cosplays based off of artist's illustrations or original characters! I hope one day my illustrations can give cosplayers inspiration as well
Man... As someone who makes fursuits it's always so cool to see cosplayers make actual outfits. Faux fur is hell to work with but it's so forgiving that I wouldn't dare work with anything else. I'm always inspired by yall who can do such gorgeous work with non-fur fabrics
I've been watching your videos only a month ago and I've made it a hobby of listening to you while working on my own cosplay, even though I can't sew I always feel like I learn something. I'm am amateur and it's very inspiring.
This video seriously is just mindblowing. Thank you for explaining the fan artists too. I never knew cosplays of fan art were ever considered lesser, but I am aware that there are, just like in any community, some toxic gate keeping people everywhere. Your dress is gorgeous and I am just once again floored by your craftsmanship. Hope you have a great weekend Sarah
I turned the slightly toxic thought of "can't do that, someone else already did"
Into an empowering thought of sorts because now it motivates me to look at other people's iterations and find parts I love, adapt stuff for my own Cosplay BUT also identifying others "mistakes" or thinks I think I can do better and theeeen try to do it better :)
I'd never even considered crochet cosplay, that's so cool! I learned how to crochet when I was kid and picked it back up again a few years ago. Somehow I got on this kick where I adapt Korean and Russian lace doily patterns into net bags for produce? They are... stupidly fancy for a bunch of onions but I like diagram patterns and really don't need a bunch of doilies so bags. Lots of bags lol
Amazing!!!! Also excited to see a sponsorship on here!!! Get that $$$$$ girl ❤
Omg you finished the dress! ☺ It turned out so great! ❤ It’s lovely to hear you talk about Sakizou and how she affected the cosplay community. So many competitive cosplayers chose Sakizou art for qualifiers and finals, their very popular in European masquerades, I highly recommend you check out some European conventions, because some of them cosplayers make crazy detailed stuff xxx
Ever since I learned how to make ruffles/ gathers from your videos I’ve made so many aprons and skirts with maxium fluffiness; I just finished a strawberry shortcake apron :)
My husband and I gasped when we saw the reveal. I literally cannot imagine being that talented omggggg. You're a strawberry goddess!
i always enjoy the youtubers who dont stop swearing or loudly beep out their swear words and instead just do the audio gap htings because its so much easier on your ears in so many ways
Big agree! I really dislike overly loud bleeps as well
This cosplay is so beautiful and I really like the way that you made it ❤ I hope you have a good rest of your day to whoever is reading this
“We're not building a bridge here” hahahahaha that’s my moto, loved it
Gaaaah i think i'm not alone when i say each of your videos give me such an URGE to cosplay again,,,, i love as always learning tidbits about crochet or sakizo or lolita as you go on your journey, and the amount of detail you pay attention is v v admirable!! also congrats on going fulltime!!!
This is an incredibly informative video, both on the influence of Sakizo in cosplay and on all the techniques used in your cosplay ; and I really have to applaud your editing because This Is One Hour Long and you managed to make every single minute interesting- Thank you for your hard work and congratulations on going full time !!!
Ah!! The finished cosplay looks amazing ^_^ this was so much fun to do and thank you for having me!
This is SO good! The details are insane.
I'm in love! That was absolutely amazing
The cackle I let out at "I'm not competing in it so, it's fine" because holy shit I say that a lot XD. Soon I won't be able to say that but as I'm FINALLY doing a Sakizo cosplay for comp (AH) Thank you for this inspiration and explanation of why we make these INSANE designs...because sometimes you just wanna walk around and have people tell ya you look pretty."
That last part section literally had me in tears in the office kitchen. It's so true and amazing how much making even the smallest cosplays and learning from people in the community can uplift. Congratulations on a beautiful cosplay. Every time I see a new piece from you, or a new video, you always out do yourself and it's so so cool. Much love from Australia.
Omg I love the deep dives please keep going with theseeee
Posted 3 minutes ago and I’ve never fucking clicked faster
Love this dress!! but what about soluble interfacing that way you wouldn't have to rip it out... my suggestion
That would have been the smart way lol, I just happened to have tear away so, I had to suffer through the extra step to avoid spending money
@@SarahSpaceman Well it happens, you had to work with what you have. Excellent work loved it. I wouldn't be able to do it !!!
Your work is gorgeous! I love seeing your process
your videos are always so well produced!
The fact that she ACTUALLY WORKS HER ASS OFF is just beautiful. She’s not like other who are like “I couldn’t find this so I used the this” she’s literally like “I couldn’t find this SO IM GONNA MAKE IT” like determination in in her blood. No hate to ppl who use alternatives but she just does so much that’s what makes her cosplay spot on and feel like the art/anime dress came out of the screen! Keep up!
Tbh I don't like strawberries, but my god I can't get enough of your strawberry cosplays! The craftsmanship is unparalleled to any other strawberry clothing I've seen. You've done a wonderful job, I can't wait for the next video! ♥️🍓
Love it! Your stuff is so epic! All the details are 🔥🔥🔥!
I'm gonna cry, this is so beautiful
wahhhhhhh im so happy for you, full time gig!! congratssss
You did an amazing job. I'm so excited to see what you can do full time
This is my first time here, Sarah! And I sure did enjoy it! Well done!
This is absolutely gorgeous. I’m blown away.
Full time! That's awesome! So happy you've reached that milestone ❤
I am currently sewing vicariously through youtubers because my main job has taken ahold of my life 24/7 in the farming season that is lambing.
Congratulations and thank you!!
Congrats for making this your full time fun. Keep the good work up and cant wait to see what comes up next.
I really appreciate that you left in the section in the middle where you said you needed to take a break because you were frustrated with the skirt, even though you'd done so much work on it! I feel like I get really discouraged by that "frustration in the middle of a project" patch, and it's just nice to know that everyone can feel that, even when the cosplayer in question is very talented and the final product is so beautiful! I also absolutely loved your reaction to seeing yourself in it all once it was done, super heartwarming.
Amazing talent! Thank you for sharing your gift💗 it was just beautiful!
The “this video was created with support from people like you, thank you” literally brought me back to my childhood and i was not ready. I mean thank you, but imma go cry now.
OMG! It's so beautiful!!! Breathtaking!
This was so freaking stunning and so fun to watch!
i literally started clapping when u said u were doing this full time now CONGRATS!!!!!
i love ur content sm. it finally gave me the motivation to get started on my cosplays plus it's educational and funny
This came out so beautifully!!!
Cogratulations for going full time, the cosplays you made are amazing!
Fantastic video! A great exploration of Sakizo and cosplay as a whole.
honestly the red gingham peeking out is kinda of GLORIOUS especially with the strawberry bo peep vibe!! its great!!
I'm so glad I found you a week ago and subscribed, you're really making me excited to get into sewing!
Absolutely stunning! 🍓 What a work of heart and art!
