Your confidence being tied to having long hair is so relatable. A few years ago I donated all my hair (it was halfway down my back) and went ultra short. I realized how much of my confidence was tied up in having long hair and how I could still feel confident with short hair. Can highly recommend it!

I used to have long hair too. When my mom went through chemo for Breast Cancer 2 years ago, I shaved my head and donated my hair. (24” in total) I love my short hair now. And I actually just shaved it again as my mom’s cancer came back so we are back to the chemo cuts. It’s honestly liberating. 😁

As a long haired girl myself I must say it would probably have been more manageable braided. That not only contains the hair better but also shortens it a bit.
Definitely, when mine gets too annoying I either braid it on one side to rest on my shoulder. Or I'll braid it like Wednesday on the Addams family.
I also just wrap it around itself tightly in a bun & it will stay for hours. But it's heavy.

Agreed. This is even shown in a scene in Tangled, a group of little girls braid Rapunzel's hair and somehow manage to get it short enough that it isn't touching the ground anymore- needless to say that aspect of it is heavily exaggerated lmao

As someone who's planning on growing her hair as long as it'll grow, possibly to the floor, this is really entertaining. 😂 There's a good reason why after a certain point, people braid and/or bun their hair up. No way would you drag it behind you on the ground like that. It was super adorable watching you run around Vegas like Rapunzel though! Love ya girly!

Hiii! As a clip-in hair extentions user I can tell you that the reason they were longer when you measured them might be because you don’t put them right at the top of your head, so the length you order is actually the strands themselves, but they’re gonna be longer when you put them on:)
For real-life purposes it’s best to order them one „size” shorter than you think you want 😁
I have long hair, so long I sit on it. This video reminded me of my bathroom probs, the hair freezing to the car window when it's wet in the mornings and I flip it over my shoulder Soni don't sit on it, etc. So many horror stories lol

I always liked shorter hair growing up lol, I was more into the Mulan style when she cut it!😂 I never really liked long hair because I was a lazy kid and never wanted to put too much effort into something! But now I have longer hair lol!

I was a cosmetologist for most of my life and have done so many extensions...but years of that work has made me have injury and changed to a different kind of employment you brought back fun memories...
My sensory issues with hair have never been more triggered, yet I continue to watch because hope is so fun
I had the long hair thing too until I had my head shaved for brain surgery. I had to learn to go out like I was sporting a look and try to embrace it. As my hair grew in, I started getting a lot of compliments on my cut. I can say I’ve had every length of hair now. At one point, I had waist length hair. It’s been about 5 years since my head was shaved and now, my hair is around my shoulder blades. I went to Vegas a few months ago and felt so hot I don’t know how Hope walked around with that hair .
Loved the video! When I was younger I had hair down past my waist. It was really thick and so heavy. I cut it when I was in my late teens and permed (🤦🏽♀️) it. Cue looking like a poodle but I persevered and grew it out while continuing to perm it. I kept it long till I was almost out of my 20’s. After perming and highlighting it for so many years, it was not as thick and more than slightly fried! I looked like I had really bad extensions in and it was past my waist. I told my hairdresser to cut off all the dead stuff and ended up with hair just past my shoulders. The amazing thing was that I had naturally curly hair! It was beautiful but not as thick as I originally started out with so many years ago 😭 Hair is a funny thing. I don’t think we appreciate it, but place great expectations on it, to make us happier, prettier or even more confident. You have loads of confidence my girl! There’s no way I’d be able to maintain the scrutiny you had, while walking around. You ROCK!!

My fave moment was Target, Louboutin stilettos, and 76 inches of hair. You hit me in the feels when you shared your long hair = I feel pretty(gave you confidence) younger you. I felt the same back in the day too. Flash to you owning it at Target. Awesome. Now you're not hiding behind the hair, you're owning the insane experience and special of it. My 2nd fave moment. Tyler saying you would look beautiful with Amy hair length including bald, and you lighting up. As a breast 🎀cancer survivor , his comment was truly cool. You guys truly make a great couple. The best way to keep your hair extensions from falling out is to do miniature French braids going from side to side that way the comb can go into the top of the part of the Braid have something to really group too. Just thought I'd let you know that
When hope said long hair extensions immediately thought of Christine Quinn from selling sunset! She always had the most extravagant and luxurious extensions which I always thought had to be the most painful thing ever!
Ive always had my hair super long, I had a baby 5 months ago and currently going through postpartum hair loss. Literally clumps of hair falling out and I’ve been terrified to go get it cut cause I never felt pretty in short hair too. Hope you kind of gave me the boost I need it to go short. Thank you for that! 😭

My hair used to be the first length of extentions you did, and that's literally like almost 9 years of letting it grow by itself. And just to get my hair fully washed because I do have natural wavy/curly hair, it took for a months worth of shampoo and conditioner. I would go threw two bottles EACH for a full month, cause I'll be having showers 6 times sometimes 8 times for the full month. And I have to use like almost half the bottle to even get it clean, and it's very heavy when I have it just in a ponytail or even a bun..... 😭😭😭 the torture that I dealt with, and since your hair is straightened. I couldn't keep on going on with the server headaches and neck pain/numbness in my neck every morning, so I chopped it all the way up to a cute pixie bob cut. And donated my long hair to locks of love, over 76 inches x.x almost 77 inches... they said if I let grow out just another month I probably have it at 80 almost 81 inches...
My hairdresser told me that good extensions always run a little longer so you can trim them or style them any way you want for a more natural look, and end up with the desired lenght!

I can totally relate to your confidence with long hair. I’ve only ever cut my hair shorter than my shoulder twice and I never felt like myself. But as I get older I feel like sometimes shorter hair is more functional. But you can rock any length of hair Hope and still look absolutely stunning! If you get some of Rosemary (it’s a plant) it smells really good you put in a pot of water for maybe like a day and it might turn like yellow and then you put it in to a spray bottle and spray it on your hair after you shower (it helps your hair grow)

If you ever want to try this again, you should braid the hair so it makes a cool pattern with the two colors. It would still show the length, but would contain it better and would be easier to manage I think.

You can detangle synthetic hair with a fabric softener soak and a brushing. I do cosplay so I've had to detangle a wig before.
