Haha, its tough keeping up with these young punks isnt it? Yes, the vent cover was too much restriction with the new engine, she gets pretty toasty. Look forward to you coming up to ride with the crew one day!
Im up in NE ohio, Workin on a craftsman gt6000 right now. Have the transaxle out to get it locked up and it will be on 26in mudcats. My other trail riding tractor is my 12hp 6speed craftsman late 80s mower, converted to side shift and many other things done to it. One day hope to get out and ride with a group! You are correct, dont have to do all the crazy things. Just get out and have fun.
