It really is not hard at all, this is a glorified VRchat with less tracking technology.
@@twall4381 i think your forgetting the fact that its using AR instead of VR. Meaning that they have to calculate actual positions onto a real world than just using a joystick to move in a fake one. Not only that but the features too like object interactions.

The amount of complexity and different scenarios they have to consider when developing something like this is mind boggling, great video and I really enjoyed seeing both perspectives.

I can't believe this is a first gen product
it's a first gen product in the exact same way the iPhone was (meaning it isn't)
since the first release of vr headsets, oculus and htc vive. theres been conferencing and desktop/media sharing apps for years. It just now there making more apps with your room as the background.
i mean, unlike the smart phone, this time apple has a breadth of technology to study and alter.
its definitely at least third gen (index, rift, vive)

This is how you do a tech review. YOU ACTUALLY SHOW EACH STEPS OF USE.
I think that error is because you're recording your screen as well. So in iOS, when you record you screen you're technically "sharing it" with the screen recording app. And that's why it gives the error that you can only share/record/mirror one screen at a time. Great video though! Thanks for making this!!

Thank you so much for making this! This is the definitive video to showcase how spatial persona's work. You did a really good job editing the video to show how things look on both ends. This is amazing technology, it's one thing hanging out in online in a video game like space VR Chat, but totally different when you can just invite someone over virtually and hang out together in your real space. Apple is really ahead of the game here.
I think you were still sharing that screen with the running shoes, that’s why you were getting that message, it’s still up to the left of your Mac at 5:31 maybe that’s the bug, it probably reverted back to indicating to the OS that that window is being shared even though it wasn’t.

Right? I felt like I was the only one actually reading the error dialogue. I was starting to wonder if it was showing something different in-headset, as that definitely reads like Recording and Mirroring can’t both be active during FaceTime or airplay
Imagine when the spatial personas dynamically reacts to your space lighting conditions just like the 3D models. It would be so realistic and make things next level. Also personas with torso and legs too.

An also insane technology that will get even better is these little devices connected to your vr headset, allowing you to control a game with your mind. I’m saying “controlling a game with your mind”, but it’s not quit perfect enough to work in a full fleshed game. It’s like some kind of prototypes. Wait until the day we can sit back and relax while playing a vr game with only your mind !

it just works, man! You have no idea how hard to do that is in the Quest
i wish they added so the glasses could take an entire 3d model of the room you are sitting in using its cameras in mixed reality. then with the 3d printed room your friends could join you in your house in mixed reality

this is interesting. when you moved his spot, your spot from his view didnt change. so if you move him to ur right side instead of ur left, you would still be in the same place in his view. so then from his view, you would start looking right to see him rather than looking left because its like rotated,

Apple has done a fantastic job, even though it's a beta. It would be great if you can have the two video recordings side by side in a single view rather than jumping back and forth between the two. But still, great job. Expecting more videos on this soon😊
Eventually they'll do full body and aside from physical contact, which many don't require these days, it'll be a natural way to have a remote conversation face to face.

The error is because you're recording at the same time as trying to share your screens. If you aren't recording, you can do it

Looks like when you share an object both of your locations are relative to where the object is.
Person 1 sits directly infront of the screen.
Person 2 is also directly infront of their screen.
Person 1 will see person 2 slightly to the Left in their environment.
Person 2 would see Person 1 Slightly to the right in their environment.

You can't apparently airplay/record the view and also SharePlay Safari or the Mac screen... possibly due to the h.264/5 encoding resources. While we can't see, you might test this when not recording.
