To know where to pry on the vents was the main reason I watched this. But you did that already.
Did the original backup cámara work with this stereo?
that green and yellow wire what do u mean ground it if its coming from the steering wheel control harnes and splices to the car harnes from where do i ground it it doesnt make sense

Were you able to keep the camera back?
now does the stock rear backup cam work still on the top screen and also show the radio station list and the mpg and battery charge features like factory still? I love this idea I always thought the two systems were tied together...
but hey if you have a GPS Navi unit or Bluetooth console and you would like to sell it let me know I would love to add all the factory features since I have the buttons it just says missing console or hardware and stuff...
but please let me know if the upper screen still works as it should after the radio upgrade I would love something current with maps and apple connectivity and still have that mounting kit for that super clean install..

i have an 09 prius that is my daily been driving her 24 miles a day for the past year and a half and it's finally time I treat her to some upgrades, and was wondering if you could help out...
im looking to utilize the space that you installed the double din head unit and use the same area so I can keep the stock upper screen and backup camera, but here is where i could really use your help. could you provide any head unit recommendations that don't cost a million dollars but can possibly either add apple car play features, or ultimately im just looking for a simple way i can listen to the music from my phone and charge it at the same time, and also a head unit that i can make and receive calls with and lastly has to have good functioning navigation, im thinking some sort of apple car play unit that can utilize apple music and the maps app would be perfect.
can you please provide any head unit recommendations so i can use the lower DD spot and add some navigation and apple car play along with the ability to answer phone calls would be absolutely amazing...
i also plan on installing a 10" Kenwood subwoofer i have with a 500 watt Kenwood amp to match and the headunit has to be able to provide enough and be able to handle that extra power...
please let me know what you would recommend in this situation for my prius, im not sure if you have any recommendations on this matter but im also looking for a nice set of larger wheels for the prius and possible lower it with some lowering springs as well, it is a 5x100 pattern but do u have any wheel recommendations that kind of go with the electric theme but don't break the bank at the same time? is there any way to get upgraded toyota wheels or something maybe scion tc that might fit an 09 prius?
thanks for any info you can provide i really appreciate it, finding a quality head unit is soo hard today everybody says they are great until you experience them for yourself and realize it is a horrible unit... plz help me avoid wasting money I just want to keep my backup camera and add new features i would love a dashcam or external cam hook up feature so i can never get a ticket for someone else having a built in camera and i have nothing of my own i would absolutely love that feature of external camera recording and kind of dash camera type features.... plz help im lost and my prius is soo corny i was also thinking throwing an injen intake to get some intake sound and also some 1320 blaster pipes to make the car a bit louder i would love that...

Nice job bro. I have the same year with a pioneer radio installed. They never installed the 68-ohm resistor though. How do you get the wires spliced back like that? I need to do this but scared im going to accidentally cut through the whole wire. Thanks for the vid!
Do you mean the wire that goes for the climate cables? I don't have that wire. I don't know if I can install the radio without that. Does your radio works fine?

04-09 2nd gen prius. Itll work

I have a 2004 is it the same process? Also the radio link says out of order will any 6.2 inch work for this process regardless of brand?
not sure about the 04 but it should be similar process. and i updated the link to the radio i used but any double din will fit bro
JPtheinstallguy yea 04-09 was the year of gen 2 so I think it’s the same. Im painting my silvery accents green tonight and the stereo will come soon. I’m going to try to get the stupid jammed CDs out (bought it that way).
Hi! I bought everything in Amazon but the little wire that you connect from one cable to another for the climate sensor did not come in the steering wheel package. Do I really need this? What would be your suggestion? Thanks
