Commercial Vehicle Start Ups, Exhausts, and Full Tours (Wreckers, As Well As A Tow Truck and Van)

- In this video I give a full in depth tour of 4 commercial vehicles: a Chevy Silverado 3500 tow truck and wrecker, a worn out chevy express work van, and a ford f550 wrecker. 2 of which are diesels another V8 and a 8.1L V8. Pretty cool trucks for sure! I had no idea what to title this video so I may change it who knows haha. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of these vehicles while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicles themselves. I also show the engines and the details of them, start them up and see how they sounds under acceleration. A thorough tour/review of these trucks designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicles.

My dad's got 2 Ford F-550 XL's, 1 crew cab, and 1 regular cab, the regular cab's a 2002 and the crew cab's a 2001. They both have the diesels, and both 4X2 flatbeds.
I liked that Black wheel lift truck, that 6.5 is the kind of engine I thought of puttin in my '93 Chevy 1/2 ton. And that 8.1 that might be a 01 or an 02.

Yeah, they carried that style to 2003 with the C3500HD. From 2000-2003 there was no diesel offering, only 8.1 in those.

someone my dad knew drives a beautiful 1998 Chevrolet tow truck, not sure if its 3500 or 2500
Let me check it out.... start motor, reply nice. Honk horn then turn steering wheel. Thoroughly check the radio volume and stations then Rev motor... to the untrained eye and ear this may seem foolish but to experts like us its a smorgasbord of greatness.

The gas Chevy has a 454CI V8...the 8.1 wasn't available in that body style Chevy.

I think it was an 8.1. Chevy and GMC retired their old V8s and started using the 5.3L, 6.0L, and 8.1L Vortec V8s in 1996, even in the old body style.

My favorite sounding Diesel engines are the 5.9 12V Cummins, 6.5 Detroit turbo diesel and the 7.3 and 6.0 powerstroke turbo diesel V8

Great series of videos Kyle! My girlfriend's father has a Express van similar to that one. I don't know the age or any of the specs on it but it is very similar, I believe it's gray though.

The buzzer doesn't work on the tow truck.
It might be because the actual buzzer got taken off so that the buzzer doesn’t go off and it’ll be quiet.

at 6:30 is the gas gauge broken or it's just malfuctioning when it really is a full tank by flickerin quickly like having a seizure, also at 6:35 you can hear all the power turning on when you turn on the switches I guess those are for the power controls for the back. I hope Monroe finds the people that stole the Ford Wrecker.

They are took ya 9 years but the obs classic bodystyle ran from 1999-2002 and it has the 8.1

No they didn't. They still used the 350's and 454's pre 2000. The newer engines didn't come out until 1999 I think, and that was only in some vehicles.

@saabkyle04 the records are prob wrong since 1998-1999 different body style unless they kept the 3500 the same? which i doubht they did and 2001 wouls have digtal mile meter
so the first truck you started on is not a 2001. How do I know that. Its the headlights are older like from 1991-1998. the newer ones are from 2000-2004.
