Reso Rev3rse you can use the thermal paste it already has but removing the old and applying new thermal paste will make your ps3 make less noise.

First id like to thank you for your great video. Ive got a PS3 Slim v4.80. I did everything like in your video. I dumped the files, but instead one dump a time, it did three at once - Bkpps30.bin , Bkpps31.bin ,Bkpps32.bin , E3flasher ( i understand this is normal with new e3 update )
I checked all of the dumps, compared them to each other, verified them, they all passed without errors (GREEN)so i patched them. I wast sure what to call the bin file for flashing Bkpps30.bin ' or Bkpps3.bin. I tried Bkpps30.bin , but it didn't work, after checking the E3 log files,E3 flasher actually was looking for Bkpps3.bin ,so i flashed it with bkpps30_patched renamed to Bkpps3.bin with success !!!
Then i put Rogero Downgrader 3.55 on a usb stick and when i tried to downgrade i got """THIS UPDATE DATA IS NOT SUPPORTED ON THIS SYSTEM"""
I also tried safe reboot mode to install it ,but it asking me for 4.80 or higher version.
I don't understand it. WHY NOT LETTING ME TO DOWNGRADE TO 3.55 ????????

I followed a different tutorial only found this one now but my PS3 turns on as normal (It beeps once and then a green light comes on) then after a few seconds it turns off (Beeping 3 times and then turns off followed by a blinking red light) I've tried replacing the thermal paste with no air bubbles and still no help, CAN ANYONE HELP?

I just made enough money to JB my ps3 by modding with a OFW so i am now gonna go and buy a E3 Flasher to follow ur TUT and i need to now if that E3 Flasher u have in ur desc is the one you used :D because in the pic of the amazon link the box is kind damaged and ive seen the same pic many times :( So i need to now if thats the E3 flasher you had bought. And can you make a tut on how to apply the thermal compund :D and btw is the clamp necessary ? Cant i just put tape over it xD

+Michael Alvarez Both the amazon and the one on modchipsdirect are fine, as long as it's not more than $55 and comes with a clip so you don't have to solder anything you're good. I would go with amazon though cause it's easier to return stuff through them in case there is an issue. Funny that you mention a thermal paste tutorial cause I was planning to do one today or tomorrow. The clamp is pretty necessary because you need the extra pressure to make a good connection, you can get a metal one for like $3 at home depot though, just put some kind of padding like electrical or duct tape on the metal part of the clamp that touches the board.

What I did is install Rebug toolbox. Once inside go all the way to the right and enable qa toggle. Then go back to the xmb screen and install qa toggle. After it is installed select it. U should here 3 beeps. And there u go, u should be able to install Rebug now.

+Jj Slater Checking please wait takes a while sometimes, make sure you wait long enough. Also make sure you plugged in your blueray ribbon real well, 90% of the time getting stuck at checking please wait means you didn't plug it in properly, also plug in wifi/bluetooth. Another thing you can try is using another USB stick. Worst case scenario you will have to reflash with E3 and try again.

Most ps3s can't but if you really want to then just a minimum version check with PS3 updat file
If your PS3 can then just use cfw then downgrade

@@jeremiahb3421 super simple process really man. Use ps3xploit then grab the 2.50 ofw file and downgrade. But like I said use minimum version check to make sure you can go back because it's better to know then not know. The PS3 is exploitable in the browser now btw lol
