Now they need to make firm rules on eye pokes. 1x=hard warning, 2x=point deduction, and 3x= straight dq.
1 x can be a point or DQ if severe for sure
I think this needs to be for fouls in general. 1 foul = warning. Any subsequent foul is auto point deduction. I’ve seen fights with 3 groin shots from one fighter and not 1 point deduction

I think the weight is more attributed to size, not padding. Shane Carwin with lunchbox hands will have a much heavier glove than Demetrius Johnson but the same padding.

I think it would've been better if the 5eight gloves were black with a golden UFC logo. Or white with the golden logo (which would make the fights look more violent by having the gloves get painted with blood as the fight goes)

Good point. The UFC needs to do a much better job curating good referees (and judges). I am glad the judges always pick the more popular, more marketable fighter for the win. But the referees are absolutely awful; they have constant early or grossly late stoppages, and they don't enforce rules properly or consistently.

Currently Japanese brand ISAMI produce MMA gloves for rizin ff (same ceo as pride FC) and try reproduce pride FC gloves.
Because of that rizin has the best MMA gloves on the market. (Second. Place is Bellator and PFL , one FC and UFC are known for having worst and cheapest gloves despite UFC being expensive for same low quality as one) .
UFC making a "engineering" like video just for MMA gloves when the best MMA gloves on market were already made more than 20 years ago in Japan. (Brand winning and now ISAMI)

They literally said its to help with Hand Injuries not head trauma. People are getting punched in the head hard in both sports i dont think its worth it to nit pick how much padding there is. It takes very little trauma to cause CTE
