Woodturning | First Time Using Epoxy Resin!! Crazy Wood Grain!

Woodturning. This bowl had a large crevice where a tree branch used to be and my fix was to add colored epoxy! Woodturning this was very smooth as well, turned easily and sanded up nicely! Woodturning projects like this are the kind I love. Seeing as how it was for my mom, I let her choose the color and it was purple. I am unsure of the type of wood, but the guy I got it from was told it was holly. It is a very light colored wood but had a lot of cool grain, and even a bit of curl. Finished with several coats of clear coat!!
