yeah dont say roblox. Roblox isnt really making the games. But its probably the same reason why some fangames are as good if not better than the main game
I've heard from other game developers that Roblox is actually a GREAT platform to start your career in the game development industry. And I think artists also have a place here since I've heard you can design cosmetics for other players and you get paid for them if the players pay for your clothes or game.
Theory: The reason it’s wet in the back rooms is because when your skin is wet, it gets softer and more susceptible to infection, in the past videos you claimed the monster is a mutated mass of bacteria and such. I theorize that it’s wet because the monster can easily infect you, seen as how the body of a teen in one of the videos had a type of I would like to say fungi? Growing on him

That explains why the creator would make it be wet and what it being wet would mean, but it doesn't actually explain why it is wet. In the canon backrooms lore, its because of carpet fluid which is liquid pain soaked into the carpet.

I hope that Matpat milks all the lore out of the back rooms and Mandela catalogue. On my own I wouldn’t have gotten into these two. But thanks to Matpat for introducing me! I may get nightmares but I’m thankful.

Both the backrooms and the Mandela catalogue are some of the creepier and most horrifying universes I’ve had to think about. Just the sheer terror I would feel if trapped in either situation. There’s no escape. The fear of the unknown would make it unbearable. My overactive imagination would have a field day. Unlike other horror franchises I’ve seen, there’s no guarantee that escaping will help. You can always clip back into the backrooms.
As much as people make fun of Roblox, myself included, it can't be denied that there are quite a few gems on the site. The players behind it have a lot of potential
I hope the concept of the backrooms never dies. It is one if not the most entertaining topics on the internet right now.

Dudes, Ash went full on unhappy parent with the yellow bashing and I am here for it. I personally am not overly fond of yellow, hearing MatPat getting the "I'm not blank just blank" speech was weirdly nice.

Been a hot minute since I watched an episode of GT Live but I have to say I love the dynamic that Ash brings to the table. Great banter when they are added in to the mix a welcome addition :)
Kane Pixel's original sound profile for the second appearance of the "bacteria" monster in that red facsimile of a neighborhood -- especially the switch from what sounds like shouts for help to the agonized hollering when it starts chasing the fallen researcher -- was by far the creepiest and most ingenious sound design (in the horror/suspense/thriller genre) for a creature that I have ever heard, surpassing professional and expensive video games, movies, TV, and podcasts in one fell swoop. It painted a vivid picture with hints that instantly make the viewer hypothesize the correlation between a man's voice in suffering and a clearly inhuman and geometric creature.
The amateur creators of this server managed to convey a very similar effect, maybe not _perfectly_ recreating the spectacular sound design, but it still works very well, especially in those gray tunnels with the flashlight. The red zone in this game feels like it's drawing parallels to the original Silent Hill games when devs made the now-iconic thick fog to hide the short rendering distances due to technological limitations of the time. Nice ambiance here for how little is actually visible!

Fun fact: this Roblox game was around faaaar before Kane Pixels’ video, played it myself back then, there’s toooons of content to it, I gave up 100%ing it over two hours in.

Hey ash just so you know the poping in your speakers could be several things there could be pulling too much power from the battery it could be that there's a loose wire somewhere it could also be that your speakers are slowly tearing themselves apart that does happen if you're using an aux cord to play music via your phone it can cause popping if it's poor quality
Wait. But speakers are made to play sound. How did humanity manage to make something that tears itself apart from doing what it's made for? (There's a metaphor in there somewhere...)
@@astrocytes I'm not fully sure about newer speakers older speakers that have fabric in them I have seen them as they get older in age when you go to use them that fabric just blow apart I don't think that happens very often. I think that only happens if you've got speakers sitting in like a building for quite a while I've only heard of it ever happened in a handful of times but I have seen it happen you just the speakers were ancient that it happened too.

In a lot of schools, the walls will be painted a pale yellow, it’s supposed to make for a better learning environment.
Matt you should try the rusty lake games it has a big mystery and a new game coming out in the fall I would recommend doing the cube escape collection first then work from there I'll love to see how you play the game

I would reccomend Apeirophobia, it’s a very high quality game with actual jumpscares.

Really cool that GTLive is doing Roblox, and Backrooms games nonetheless! I was surprised how tense it was going through the levels, the background noise is what really gets me. I'll have to try the game out for myself!

Have you heard about ‘Shipwrecked 64’? It seems right up your street, it’s like a mix between Andy’s Apple Farm and Sonic EYX. It has a bunch of hidden disturbing video files, voice recordings and police reports throughout if you can find them. Could be fun :)
I would like to recommend playing a nancy drew game. They are detective point and click games. I would specifically recommend the ghost of Thornton hall. It's an amazing game, and I would love to see your rection to it. 😊
I recommend playing apeirophobia on Roblox instead, it’s also a take on the back rooms, and I find it very enjoyable to play

You should play other roblox horror games, watching someone not used to roblox play roblox is very entertaining. I suggest pinstripe murderers, specter (phasmaphobia remake), and identity fraud!

Yellow makes you happy for the first few minutes and then drives you crazy if I remember correctly
I think being surrounded by yellow can both make you happy and insane. Also, I think there’s a fine line between very happy and insane. I also think I heard somewhere that too much yellow can make you anxious, but I don’t know if that’s accurate lol

Hey Mat! One of the more popular games in Roblox is "Piggy", an escape room type game based off of characters from "Peppa Pig" with 2 books and 12 chapters per book, each chapter is it's own level, it's an amazing game that may even deserve a theory, it would be cool if you would play it on gtlive and or "Rainbow Friends" a pretty new game on Roblox that looks inspired by Piggy, and Poppys Playtime.

I highly recommend the 'inside the backrooms' game. I really enjoyed that experience. Also 'the backroom 1998' is also pretty fun.

As someone who has a yellow blanket and all yellow walls, it can indeed make you happier but in turn doesn't leave room to be sad. I can't tell if it was a good or bad decision to paint my walls a pale lemon yellow

My idea for CSI: Brain Crimes is either Overture phasing in to Underture, or Boris the Spider. Maybe 5:15.
