Had a blast building the Hayabusa, Worlds fastest dirt bike, into a snow bike. Thank you to everyone who helped. License ID: 7lX26l1gXAy lickd.lnk.to/2ptOPlID!Matt+Sp...
Matt is one of us. Average person who loves to do extreme stuff, he just has what it takes to actually pull it off. It's really cool to watch! I'm getting back surgery, soon, and then I'm lightning my channel up, we're gonna go fast... (this is my personal account, not trying to poach viewers)
Too much rpm as it is. I believe that half of throttle for sain person on normal Busa is more than enough. If you want short videos and possible more views than Harley lol
Judder spring does two things: increases the modulation range of the clutch lever and reduces clutch "shudder" or clutch squeal as the clutch slips under high load at low rpm. Technical term is stick-slip and it can cause a harmonic vibration. Some bikes must have a judder spring or they will squeal like a piglet as they engage at low RPMs. The Hayabusa is one of those clutches that doesn't need it at all. It works fine with it, I don't run it in my Haybusa motors. You do need to get your clutch pack height right if you pull it out. Learn how to check for free-play gain and how to adjust it. Check it before every ride and you'll always have a good time. Glad you're enjoying it, that thing rips!
Gat damn, that first run through the trees was badass. I thought you were gonna lose it like 3 times but you just kept dodging those trees. Good work man. That busa is a beast
Would be easier in firmer snow. Not as surfy though. The bike is so heavy! Head west to the Cascades or just come down here to the West side of the Rockies in W. Ideeho my Dude! E. Washington/Blue Mtns would be good too! More moisture content Long track will help for sure. Stay Safe!
You made the Ultimate Snowhawk. I would love to ride something like that , but I could never troubleshoot it in the wild like you. Mad props. Love these vids bro !!
Gotta take off the exhaust, and the brake pedal, and right side crash bar mounts on my vtx 1800, just to do a clutch. Way easier on my R1. But, after 7 yrs at the Mercedes Benz dealer, and 4 yrs in the USMC working on trucks and Jeeps( yes, the old Willys) , the bikes are easy. Love the vids, who doesn't ?
..and damn, watching this young guy put that Rekluse in with all that cheezy music reminds me of old school CZcams and it's awesome! Keeping real and cheezy, that will keep me coming back! Great video guys.
Matt, I have to say that I have been riding motorcycles since I was 12 years old and that was a long, long, long time ago! ...And still ride today both off-road and on-road bikes! ...but also Racing, collecting, restoring, modifying vintage and current bikes plus retired from the motorcycle industry several years ago. And in my many over 55 plus years I have seen a lot of crazy things people do on bikes and have had a lot of heroes in those years like Knievel, Pastrana, McGrath, Rex Staten, Decoster and the list goes on! ...But since I stumbled upon your channel I have watched every video you have done! ...And what you do and have done just totally blew me away! ... and I can't quit watching some of your videos over and over as they are unreal! ...and the talent you have for what crazy stuff you do (like the Hayabusa and Goldwing stuff) is just mind blowing and I love it! ...And I hope and look every day for a notification on a new post by you just to see what you will do next! ...and the camping in negative -27-degree weather and riding in all that cold snow makes me cold just watching you as the older I get if it falls below 70 degrees I'm freezing to death! Please keep up what you do (with safe extreme caution please as I don't want to see anything happen to you!) as I have to say you are one wild and crazy dude with big cojones and really my new hero and I think you are really a cool guy and think we would click immediately and would love to meet and talk to you someday as again you're just super cool and nothing gets you down or makes you give up! Thanx my friend for posting your insanity! 😀😎
Can't believe how much the chain stretched. You're wide open Matt! Can't imagine how exhausting it was to get the Busa unstuck. I remember how much effort it took to get a normal snowbike unstuck and back riding! Love seeing the build too! Really cool.
I would agree also one of my favorite new most recently discovered CZcams channels. All of his ideas are like you and the boys sitting around saying “you know what would be bad ass.” (insert Matt videos)
This was a banger bro. Keep building cool stuff and beating it mercilessly. Keep learning and wrenching. Practice welding, it's easier than you think. With a welder and some imagination you can turn any engine into something that makes smiles
The amount of work that goes into making these videos is incredible and I don’t think most viewers understand what it takes to transform these bikes into something it was never intended to do. I love to see the younger generation still taking on projects like this.
Next make the most capable. 150-170 track and tunnel directly out of a snowmobile, 2-stroke turbo motor with CVT to save weight.. and maybe a dirt bike frame. Also one ski on each shock rather than just a single ski, might allow better floatation while each shock moving up and down by itself might help with the bike trying to "stand itself up" on sidehills and such.
Those two washers go on the other end of your clutch plates, so on the beginning of your inner basket not the end with the pressure plate. They're meant to hold the smaller clutch disk in place.
With the carnage you putting that poor busa through I can’t believe you haven’t bypassed the safety switches. Soon as you get back home you need to bypass the clutch, kickstand and neutral safety switches asap! Those things will leave you hanging.
The rekluse clutch system is a must for a snow bike. Please carry the adjusting key with you. If the bike seems like its not happy just adjust the rekluse a wee bit at a time. It can save you a nite mare rescue.
Love your builds man ! Especially the hayabusa stuff as I am not called “busa doctor” for nothing lol just wanted to give you a heads up and recommend a few things to you that will help you enjoy the project even more and save your butt too .. #1 I can set you up with an ecu flash and tune that does way more than any powercommander product and #2 flashing the ecu vs a powercommander you have to worry about it failing and blowing up your engine or you might get lucky and the bike just won’t start at all .. if you didn’t already, do you pair valve deletes and ditch that crap as you’ll never get it tuned properly with the pair valves in place, that’s if you haven’t already done so , another thing would be all short velocity stacks or you can play with the lengths to move the powerband up or down , lastly a set of *ape* adjustable cam gears and find your self an oem intake cam to swap with the exhaust cam (dual intake cams ) and you’ll be close with a good full exhaust and filter to an actual dyno number of high 180’s to low 190’s .. I’ve dyno’d hundreds of Hayabusa’s in the last 15 years so I know what they actually make (based off our performance #’s at the drag strip)… I could go on and on lol my Facebook is @christopher Angell or @CAPerformance_motorsports .. always happy to help anytime just hmu
Those wheelies are so tall with that track, cool to see you rip that thing Matt. Double check it’s running on all 4, it sounds like it’s down a cylinder. A quick way to check, you can cold start it and make sure each exhaust header tube is heating up. Cheap iR temp gun can help too. Keep the wheelies high and the videos coming Matt!
Currently my favorite CZcams channel. Matt seems like a very humble, likable guy.

when my friends say it's too cold to ride I will send them this video
You should get together with GrindHardPlumbing….they have one they built almost a year ago…two hayabusa snow bikes in one video would be awsome!
Probably the best marketing and r&d for the CMx guys, if there's a weekness the weight and HP will find it
Your snow bike looks just like the one Abe Lincoln used to fight the Romans during the Great Depression. Very cool history!!
LMFAO I remember those days 😂
Dude. Time for a turbo on that beeeaaaahhccchhhhhh!!
Dude right!!!!! Mo Powa

@@MattSpears and less weight on the bike
I am looking forward to the Pond Skip video once Spring arrives....
me too!
You’re a trip man. Really enjoy watching.
Man that bike is like a soldier from ww2. It's seen a little bit of everything 😂
your just out here always having fun doing CRAZY THINGS, and im all for it! stay awesome matt!

It's the Good-Vibes dude with another busa clip!
Who woulda thought Rekluse made an auto clutch for the hayabusa. That's wild
Gat damn, that first run through the trees was badass. I thought you were gonna lose it like 3 times but you just kept dodging those trees. Good work man. That busa is a beast
Great video! Your editing has gotten so good! Love the music!
Might want to draw that adapter up and save it.
This is the second one I've seen on CZcams this winter.
“I’m not looking forward to getting this thing unstuck” huge smile on his face. Love your work Matt
Привет из России. Твои разработки мне безумно нравятся!😂

You made the Ultimate Snowhawk. I would love to ride something like that , but I could never troubleshoot it in the wild like you. Mad props. Love these vids bro !!
That Crazy Mountain Extreme snow bike kit looks way better than the Timbersled kit that others have adapted.
That’s awesome you have companies like Rekluse reaching out to you like this. Be prepared for CZcams fame, Matt.
These videos are getting better and better.

Ken is still a legend
Your videos are the best example of just how tough hayabusa engines are 😂
Love your videos mate, awesome 👍
Hayabusa recycling/ repurposing. This is great !

Living the dream Matt. One life enjoy. That Busa is unbelievably tough.

“Cross threading… nature’s Loctite.” Subscription earned 🤣🤣🤣 Love the videos man.
Love how the revlimiter goes on note with the song around ~28:15 - 28:30 😂

The busa is so sweet, keep the content coming dude I been enjoying your videos so much lately!
I suspect the chain loosening is more likely the custom mountings moving forward somehow.
Matt is such a g, not only a beast on the bike but dude can work on his own toys! Most underrated channel on CZcams!
Somehow just sounds like a two stroke snowmobile.
I guess when it's revving at 10k the combustion strokes being twice as far apart don't matter.
CMS might as well start selling a Hayabusa snow kit😂😂😂
Sweet video. Dam that Busa is one badass machine
Those two washers go on the other end of your clutch plates, so on the beginning of your inner basket not the end with the pressure plate. They're meant to hold the smaller clutch disk in place.
My thought exactly 😂.
I’ve also never seen a reckluse installed backwards lol
Thats what I was sayin!!!
That thang screams, wholly!!
That thing works better than I expected.
Ohh that poor hayabusa this is not the life it dreamed when it was built
love your videos hope you can get out of this hole
Your channel is pretty awesome and you’re a great rider. I hope to see some more stuff especially collaborations.

The judder spring attempts to reduce clutch basket vibrations at low rpm engagement.
How is this channel so small? It’s like grind hard plumbing 2.0
This thing is dope AF!
So cool to see the CMX guys working on the build and then to see what you did. Looks like the Rekluse clutch helped to make for a great ride!
Just straight gold.
Pretty cool! Saw the guys at CMX loading this thing in the trailer the other day!
