These last 2 weeks of content have been cathartic, even as someone who realistically has little vested interest beyond just being a casual fan. Thanks Rich.
Hey, Richard, for reference when you talk about the guy from Blast leaking comms, there is an episode of the Pat McAfee show where he talks about similar situations in the NFL
If the analyst gone team admin is seen to have an unfair competitive advantage, couldn't the CSPPA just lobby TOs to put in their contracts that anyone that has access to comms can't work for any team that is competing against teams they heard the comms of for 2 months or so? I mean this just seems like a fairly standard sort of clause that is throughout most businesses that have highly sensitive information floating around isn't it? I mean sure it sucks that this situation arose, but if you don't have the forethought to ask for these things ahead of time (You are a union, it is your job to think of these things ahead of time) tough shit.
@@_Ekaros Nah, it is the TO's that have the issue, not the teams. The TO's are the ones that are giving access to the comms after all, so they would be the ones to put in their contracts anyone hearing the comms can't leave and join teams playing against anyone they heard the comms of. I mean ideally you want teams, TO's, talent, and non-player player union reps (ha) to all sit around a table and discuss the issue together and come to a solution that way, but with TO's being the ones with the sensitive information a solution is going to be primarily based around altering the contracts they offer their talent and crew.
@@_Ekaros Why shouldn't a team recruit someone who had access to comms of rival teams in the recent past though? This is an issue purely for the players, the teams themselves don't seem to have any problem with what happened. (Edit) And I'll even edit in that players do it all the time. Every time a player goes from one team to another, they are someone who had access to rival comms in the recent past.
Nothing crushes my soul more than seeing my favorite players leave the game I love for a game produced by the soulless fucks at riot. My only hope is to be able to go to a csgo match in NA and cheer for a team of NA players like I have done for the last 6 years. Yeah liquid choked but I was part of the crowd at MLG Columbus. I got to watch EG trounce Astralis at ESL Ny. That's all I'm asking for man....
comment for algorithm and to say the same thing ive been saying on the last few videos. we are fucked without you richard please keep on fighting, hopefully we can save this fucking scene.
I wish you a good end of the year and a powerstart in 21 Richard. Let us know on twitter when the article is done, love your initiative of commitment towards the cs scene.
If esports is a type of sport the management methods like the parachute payments you talked about should be implemented. Why not learn from well established sports and take parts of them to make cs a stable lucrative and fair sport
Withdrawing labor in cs could accomplish a lot since t1 pros are what make people watch the game, it's not similar to factory workers striking for minimum wage at all because they are easily replaceable. T1 are not replaceable, TOs can't just say fuck you guys we'll find other teams for people to watch. If t1 pros used that power to protest esl's decision to fuck over those teams they could accomplish a lot. But they didn't give a fuck since it didn't affect them
"I look forward to getting a new fleshlight at Christmas... I just wear them out"
