yeha I recently read a lot of fanfics where Dean rescues Cas from the Empty therefore I decided "IMMA TRY THIS" and show everyone what ACTUALLY happened after 15x18 because I keep pretending the last two episodes didn't exist
Story:
Well, first we cover the confession scene and the moment where the big black goo picks up Cas because of his moment of happiness - after that we move on to the fond memories Dean has of Cas and spending the whole next year in grief - full of regrets full of wishes - saying the things he couldn't say to Cas back then in the dungeon.
meanwhile Cas is still awake in the Empty because he stays restless since the last few words weren't spoken.
The Shadow ain't happy about that and tortures him with memories he has of Dean.
On earth, Dean decides to try and get Cas back.
And so it happens. In the end they get together and are happily writing their own story, making it up as they go.

I love this, and how we got to see Dean doing everything he could to get Cas back.

Holy shit this is brilliant. And this is exactly what Dean WOULD HAVE DONE. The real Dean, not the shapeshifter we saw in 15x20. This is my cure now, thanks.
I like to think that 15x20 was an illusion created by Chuck and I'm working on an edit for this 💀
@@deanspatroclvs damn thats good. I had a theory that it's the empty torturing Cas by showing him the worst possible outcome. Dean dying in the way he always feared and Cas being unable to save him, Sam having to live the rest of his life all alone, Jack being burdened by the responsibility of the entire universe when he's barely 3, and Chuck just living a normal human life. Meanwhile, the real Sam, Dean and Jack are tearing heaven and hell apart looking for a way to rescue Cas.

@@deanspatroclvs - ohh yess that was my initial conclusion too & it made better "sense" of the canon nonsense, I wrote some descriptive cmts about it even, because it WAS such a Chuck move to screw with them while saving himself by secretly ~fooling them all into thinking they actually "won" while he really got away, arrghh!! 😩 I don't think it would be the Empty cuz that being seemed to want to go back to ~sleep more than anything.. but the thoughts of all the way to could've gone differently will always haunt me I guess! 😑 great editing 💚💙

I dont know how long this must have taken you, but it came out so beautiful. The part where the Empty asked why Cas was awake and you edited in the scenes of him and Dean was absolutely perfect (the whole thing was absolutely perfect)! Thank you so much for making this, really how SPN should've ended
For the CW to have the audacity to tagline #DareToDefy like they really thought they did something there....lmao.. . Props to writing and editing what *actually* defies expectations and supersedes doubt- what many people wanted for the Righteous Man and the Angel of Thursday was so much more than what was handed to them. A watered-down version of a man who likes pie and cars is nowhere near what the story I was following was really about, so I'll take this for now ♡ thank you for helping us cope and feel better hahah
This is the ending we deserve. That Dean and Cas deserve. It is flawless and heals my broken heart. I love it! They are soulmates and they deserve to be happy. Thank you so much. I subscribed and will continue to watch your videos. You have made my day.

Ok, so its 5am and i am biting my lip so hard to stop myself from screaching. Literal chills. This is one of the most incredible edits ive ever seen. (And trust me ive seen too many 😅) the story?!! The way you put the words over the scenes & the flashbacks and it highlights so much stuff they said & felt- plus the song?!! Impeccable!! And im lowkey tearing up at it & that Cas bit at the end. THIS. This is what they, and we, deserved.

I'll be honest, when I clicked on this I didn't expect to sit there open-mouthed at the end of the video. This is amazing. The minimalistic typography that fades in and out soflty, the earthly coloring making it look so... etheral and gruesome, a bit dystopia-esque. (Same vibe I got from 5x04 The End, one of the best episodes of the whole damn show.) But most importantly: Your choice of scenes. Man, I spent so much time in the last couple of months going through the whole show and especially all the scenes with these two, I thought I knew most of them by heart. But never in a million years would I have thought of putting them together like this. Never would I have thought that it could look so good when telling a different story than the canon depicts.
How you combined the scenes and the voiceover.... excuse me, but wtf. The "I love you so much" KILLED ME, and in a positive way. I hated that scene in the finale.
The scene from 11x03 (one of my absolute favorites) fits so well as a "resurrection" scene AAAHHHH!!!
And Cas' monologue at the end..... the ending we deserved and the perfect ending for this video.

finally! an alternate ending video that stuck to destiel and didn't go overboard (because of the uptight watchers that can't handle a male/male love affair--making anything too "touchy" like acid on their "proper sensibilities".
