Awesome video Brett, thanks for giving it up for TB. He's one of my favorite drummers, he def seems to have marching chops also - when I watch his videos on practicing on a pad, it shows. I don't have marching chops but I love TB's beats and creativity where he can blend hip hop, rock, punk and funk all at the same time.

Im a big Travis Barker fan, if you dont listen to much of his music check out some of the drum parts on Blink 182' Neighbourhood Album, titles such as 'Hearts All Gone' 'Wishing Well' and 'Kaleidoscope' have some really interesting and unique grooves, he really stands alone in the genre creating alot of brilliant and creative ways to play the kit 💪🏼
TB is a beast on a kit whether you like punk, rock or whatever, he’s got hands and knows how to use em. Also he’s not just a punk drummer (he just happens to be in a rock band, simple as that). Ive heard him play hiphop and funk a few times, no question he’s up there with the best, and he’s a cool dude to top it off.
@@brettclurdrums Yeah bro, you really need to research and look into this guy's work over the years, his collabs and overall abilities. Not only that, he's an educator and gives back to the drumming community. I'm actually surprised as a drummer yourself that you've had stereotyped and written him off without seeing where he's come from.You can't just box him into a "punk"/rock category like that. He's far more than just a rock head playing in another rock band believe me.

Yup! I also think it's crazy that he's probably the reason that 1000s of people started playing drums in the early 2000s. Massive influence.
