In person teacher is the best option imo, as about 24 years ago I took in person lessons once a week, and they really helped me with timing and telling me when I was doing things wrong immediately. I picked up bass guitar about 5 months ago, and trying to learn by myself really makes it harder, as I tend to play my drums a lot more than my bass, because I don't have any access to a teacher in town to motivate me to practice and be better the next week I'd see them.

They cost me about $25 Canadian dollars in Canada of course, I buy an 8 pair pack now from sweetwater, pay the american price shipping and duty fees and they still cost me less then anything I can find in Canada online. I save about $30 in the end. Pretty sad

Lol I've done all of these many times, becomes natural. Also get a lot of people saying I do Bonham, and Peart style fills with some modern twist

I'm actually learning it but the only problem is I don't know how to hold the sticks properly when playing ghost notes that's why sometimes instead of playing ghost notes it always ended up like vibrating or something like instead of doing just 2 hits of left it becomes 3 to 5 hits 🥲

Great list. Danny Carey got me into drumming, I love to see drummers like him that play with electronics in interesting ways. Dan Mayo and Arthur Hnatek are two of my modern favourites for that reason.

There's so many spectacular drummers out there, but subjectively the drummer that makes me feel the music the most is hands down Baard Kolstad. The way he uses grooves and dynamics smooths out anything he plays over in a way I'm having trouble describing
