I'm 44 years old. I've been playing drums since I was 10 years old because I couldn't afford the expensive music school, and never knew what patern was. The digital era didn't exist in my era. but with my age approaching half a century and 50 years...I found a patient teacher like you. explaining everything for nothing. I respect you, my teacher❤🙏
Similar age and experience and can say that this info was no where near as accessible, but definitely out there. MD magazine and instructional VHS def came through!
Back in the day, drum lessons were $10 a half an hour with a hack with an attitude. _"You want to learn 'Good Times Bad Times'? What are you trying to be?"_ I walked...
Thanks SO much! I was only born in 1997. But from what I've seen with social media, it's really cool to see that the overall state of drumming ability has increased due to all of the accessible information. It also makes it so crazy to see how the best drummers stand out even more now.

Hey bro.
Great lesson ❤
Is that a Tama Starclassic kit?
Yup! It's a Starclassic Perfomer
Thanks man
I enjoy your contents 👍🏾
Damn! Amazing sounding kit, what kit is that?
Tama Starclassic Performer! The shells are birch/maple. Then it’s a Tama Starphonic brass snare drum
Love the new kit! How does she feel?
Still getting used to the 20" kick drum, but sounds soooo nice.
how are you tuning the toms? they sound great.
Thanks dude! They're a bit tighter on the bottom to get them to resonate more
great video!
Thanks!
Killer!
Thanks!
I've always had issues with get the tempos up to speed, and keeping the grace notes quiet.
Hello, wondering about note values. And learning how to flow at different tempos.
In this lesson these would usually be used as 16th note triplets which are 6 notes per click (per quarter note).
So two of the blocks he taught would fill up one quarter note click The way I was taught to count them is 1na1na 2na2na 3na3na 4na4na. But you could do anything that rolls off the tounge easy.. what’s Important is the 6 evenly spaced note per quarter note click.
He should it as 8th note triplets instead of 16th here probably for simplicity for beginners but you’re going to want to eventually feel them as 16th note triplets once you get fast or you’ll have to set your quarter note click to like 350 bpm, lol
What model Snare is that? Sounds nice and crisp! Thank you
Why do those Drums Look like My Mapex Saphire/Black Forest kit ? Havent seen that color scheme many times before?
It’s my new Tama Starclassic Performer kit! Looks kind of green in the video, but it’s a dark blue burst finish
Nice🫡🙏
Thanks for watching! :)
sir please with double kick bass drum triplet and Kick Kick. You rarely use KK (kick kick) doubles. please where is the video about that? because the current generation likes to hear that dynamic
if ureally good at these all and can combine them really by urself u almost is a real pro not how sound like pro😂
