    Product Description from BiGK -
Au Natural is a 100% natural compressed briquette charcoal. We make it without binders, so there are no nasty chemicals to spoil the flavour of your cooking. It’s compressed from waste saw dust and wood chips at high pressures to create moulded hexagonal tubes that are consistently sized and shaped, meaning they’re easy to handle and burn cleanly. These tubes have a central hole to aid air flow, which ensures they burn evenly across your barbecue, with no hot or cold spots to manage.
With a cooking time of over 3 hours, Au Natural is dependable and long-lasting. It’s best used in combination with our Chilla-Grilla lumpwood charcoal as a lighting aid. Au Natural is used to power professional grills across the country, but it’s also popular among adventurous home barbecuers.
If you’re looking to keep your BBQ clean and full of flavour, Au Natural is perfect for the purists.
Please note all cooking times are approximate and depend on a range of factors, including quantity of charcoal and type of barbecue used, lighting method and weather conditions.

Hi, great video, would the big k charcoal be ok for the snake method of cooking as I am concerned of chemical taste on food

You could try the coconut briquettes from big k as they contain no starters and are all natural. Otherwise trying to control the heat in the snake method with lump wood is possible but is a lot harder.

I love these briquettes but unsure how I’d use them for a low and slow using the snake or minion method. Any ideas?

Glad to have found you - just taking bbq'ing a bit more serious this year, bought one of the morrisons 57cm kettle bbq's last spring - its a weber rip off basically, not bad for the £ and its lasted all winter outside covered up and is good to go again this and next year - been cooking with the coal on side side - top vent opposite side, both vents at the bottom and top wide open and the food opposite side to the coal.. noticed that im not really getting heat for very long it will initially after 20 minutes of burning (2 burn in the bags) go upto 220c an slowly decline to around 160c over the following 20-30 minutes. Is that down to me using shitty quality burn in the bag as opposed to decent briquettes or lumpwood? im going to get some of the "bigk" in your video and some of the "woodies" for starting the bbq, i will order a chimney starter too, any suggestions?

I really do recommend the ACH15 from bigk. Look I understand it is not cheap but you will use less on a cook. If your going to get the chimney starter and the woodies you are ready to go. Because of the size of the chunks they burn longer and because of the wood they use it burns hotter. Give it a good and tell us what you think. Thank you for following the channel. Gavin

Absolutely, they are perfect for long cooks as they burn nice hot and for ages.
