Ofc I did
me 😆
I did. I would love the 2 cups product. My Pete 389 has the worst cup holders.
Why ask, u now we did.
I did like your all videos
I build these badboys 8 hours a day in sweden, I hope you are satisfied and no problems with the EBS :)
Niceee so impressive how many you guys build a day
@@Eugenepanels 60 at day, and 30 at night, so 90! I always wonder who buys so many trucks everyday, when will it end haha
This style Volvo the VN is only made in the USA in Dublin Virginia and we are building around 160 a day
@@Annielee2023 Yeah you are right, I build the FH16 and FH FM FMX, and i think gent builts FL
wow i didnt expoect so many each day. 3 shift then ?

volvo: "puts adaptiv crusecontroll sensor for saftey reasons in their trucks to protec drivers from accidents.
rusty: "ahh, this beeping sound drives me crazy, i plug the saftey sensor out.
Volvo: 😐
Is it safe to have a pissed off driver behind the wheel? The VADA system on these trucks suck.
@@kunar69 Wow it sucks, is this the only reason why you would like to risk somebodys life? Volvo trucks in Europa have system sinca a long time and it safe so many life's. And there are people too, saying its sucks but they DON'T plug it off.
@@burkei0036 man, you are sooooooo richt!!!
Why alter the system just find the fuse and remove it
Most driver assistance system are integrated meaning only one fuse
@@burkei0036 I was taking you serious until you wrote Europa instead of Europe. What a dick.
That guy at 17:10 also deleted his adaptive cruise control.
and he also got fined for doing it
🤣🤣
ironically that's a Volvo too 😀
@@MrDalgard So he should too
Why would you want to disconnect safety features? Trucking firms in the UK would kick you out the door if you touch anything to do with safety features and try and disable them.
Excuse me, I thought this was 'Murica.
Mine tried to kill me (literally). For some reason it suddenly failed permanently after that. Cant imagine how that happened
The versions of the "safety" features put on the US trucks simply just don't work as they're advertised (partially due to the higher speed of trucks in the US, but that's a whole other topic not to get into), not to forget the fact that the majority of what those systems do can be achieved by driving with actual care, such as leaving a reasonable amount of distance behind vehicles and paying attention to your driving.
They're best for heavy traffic and areas with suddenly stopping traffic, outside of that they're just a nag. You can see in this video, and a lot of his videos, he's driving basically in the middle of nowhere most of the time.
Main reason companies put those systems on their trucks is because 1. Liability and 2. It generally comes as part of a "safety" package which increases the resale value of the truck
@@fredmercury1314 That's great, but the "safety" package you'll get for most trucks won't include blindspot monitoring, or when its still on the truck the drivers still disable it because of the number of false positives they give. And the trailer isn't going to have absolutely any safety equipment besides ABS, and in some rare cases, tire monitoring. Most trailers in the US don't even have reverse lights.
And that doesn't change that a lot of the trucks on the road today are either the most basic models, or pre-2008.
It comes down to drivers either forgetting something, or not driving with care. Both from trucks and cars. These accidents don't happen because of the blindspots, they happen because people generally don't know about the blindspots, or the fact that it's not particularly safe to have a massive vehicle next to something 1/10th it's size.
I'd like a visual blind side aid like the mirror having a LED that blinks when I activate the signal if it detects a car. I never drove a new volvo but on Freghts, the auto brake system activated on me multiple times hard when it did not have a reason to, that thing can die in a fire.
You can inactivate the adaptive cruise control in the settings, that way you can keep all the safety systems running
I was wondering the same thing, if there were settings that could be adjusted.
You actually got me when you said you didn't get the truck lol
A "globetrotter" is someone who's constantly traveling the world. In Europe, "Globetrotter" is the name Volvo uses for the sleeper cabs on the FH series cabovers, with basic "Globetrotter" being the normal sleeper, "Globetrotter XL" being the high roof sleeper, and "Globetrotter XXL" being the new extended high roof sleeper cab. The Volvo USA marketing department brought the name over to use as a trim level for their two biggest models - on the 760 cab, it's just Globetrotter, and on the 860 it's "Globetrotter XL" to denote that the 860 is bigger than the 760. There is no "Globetrotter XXL" in the US.
The first Globetrotter cab was launched in 1980 on the F10 and F12 series, and I believe it was the first regular factory-built high roof sleeper, possibly in the world. The first UK supplied F12 Globetrotter was sold in early 1980. This picture is of one from 1986: scontent-lcy1-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/fr/cp0/e15/q65/80264335_3582577298420848_8341157042400002048_o.jpg?_nc_cat=103&ccb=1-3&_nc_sid=da1649&efg=eyJpIjoidCJ9&_nc_ohc=EKJdUX2VwJIAX_vLuW8&_nc_ht=scontent-lcy1-1.xx&tp=14&oh=ccf6f9e0dbfc0c7df4fb99652625bb92&oe=6079D5D9
Maybe unplugging the safety systems because it annoys you is not a good idea 💡🤨😂
Maybe they should make a safety system that is not so annoying. Volvo used to make good trucks but after driving this for 2 plus years now I can say I now hate Volvo trucks.
Good way to void your Warranty too lol what an idiot.
Insurance reasons no he probably will be fired if he gets caught deactivating the systems
@@michaeltaylor9474 hello
Your eyes are the only real safety system
Shoutout to the suv that sped up at 14:35 when they saw you trying to pass them 😂
Haha..Volvo passing. Your in a fantasy world.
Truck pulled in right lane, as usual couldn't keep speed
@@KA-om9oz volvo drivers are usually the most sensible ones and they comply with the rules. But if speeding is someone's thing, that's okay too, as long as that mf doesn't cause any damage to my volvo🙂🙂
@@bizim_eller Swift runs volvos...hahaha. the dumbest drivers out there..
Trash trucks, for trash drivers.
U can simply diactivate from the settings rather than just unplug the part.
But if you did that you wouldn't void the warranty and this stooge wants to absolutely be put at risk at every single turn!
You should be able to disable all those noises in the menu.. should not need to disconnect components. Due to safety reasons you should not disconnect the radar
Also opens up the driver (and the company) to massive liability issues if he ends up in an accident and it can be proven it could have prevented if he hadn't tampered with it.
Greetings from Sweden, congrats Rusty, you almost had me there when you said you didn’t get a Volvo. 😁
Keep up the good work, I follow every episode of you and your trips.
I'm in a base model 2019 VNL760 and I love it. I've been in freightliners, KWs, and internationals and the volvo has been the best quality of life, ride, parts longevity, you name it.
Wow! It’s about time man. Congratulations! Sorry I haven’t been keeping up on tour awesome videos lately, got a new pup at home. I’ll need to catch up this week.
Gucci gucci
Wow Rusty, brilliant... I'm so happy you have the Volvo at last... Two things, your company certainly likes you, hence the new truck and secondly, we were so concerned that you were giving up trucking, as you mentioned once or twice before..... We are are a few people here in South Africa that love your videos... One of the reasons, other than the way present it, is where you have your camera, because we can also see traffic around you... Brilliant.. Thank you for the very good show.
Now that´s a nice Volvo you´ve got there! I´m looking forward of you reviewing it. And as always I´ve watched till the end... this was very kind of you. 😃✌
Hey Rusty! CONGRATS on getting your Brand-New VNL 860!! The Steering Control you were talking about is called ‘Volvo Dynamic Steering’, but the Name isn’t all that important of course... it just means that steering is gonna be a lot less tiring for you on those LONG trips across the USA! That steering feature is also on our UK & European Volvo Trucks too & we get the Globetrotters as well! Stay safe out there and I look forward to your review on your new truck!
Congratulations on your new Volvo..Looks amazing...one thing I recommended changing your air lines to black rubber so they will never crack n freeze.
I greet you from Romania, I want to tell you that I really like what you do and I want to go to the USA in a while to be a truck driver, you are a source of motivation for me 🇺🇲-🇷🇴
Si eu sunt roman:))
Your the true professional trucker! Fixing the flat on the trailer instead of dumping it on the next guy and screwing him up! Cannot tell you how many times I picked up broken trailers and had to waste time to get them fixed! Tires, lights, brakes.
Great work rusty. Good thing happen to people who wait nice rig. Sounds a lot quieter as well. Cheers mate from Australia
2 cups 1 driver lmao 😂
🤣
One for soda and the other for water😜
I too enjoy Volvo trucks. Have spent many miles in a VNL. Some people agree some people don't. Glad they got you hooked up.
I switched from a Pete day cab to a Volvo and man it was a lot more comfortable, I could drive straight thru on my LH runs with no problem!!
"GLOW-BEE-TROTTER" 😉😆😎..... Just messing with you Rusty. Be safe out there!.....
Oh Rusty done got himself a new top of the line truck! Nice! Happy for ya Dude!! 👊🏻
Perfect video. I love the driving scenery, your commentary and the choice on music. That Volve looks perfect.
@Hello PB how are you doing
Legends still waiting for The Volvo Rebuild to be finished

lets goo! hopefully this beauty is a good one and gives you the best ride as you deserve Rusty! Deuces!
Glad you got the Volvo, hope you can keep it. Thanks for another video.
Been waiting for the VNL! Love see those going down the road. Stay safe brother!
Its the matter or preferences. Some people hate the ACC, some people don't. Me meanwhile love to have ACC. Its a handful during congestion.
Yeah, still u have to deal with the all beeping but hey, safety systems came for a reason.
The red light flashing in your face when you get cut off is real safe. Think Volvo engineers were on drugs when they made this system.
I hope you realize that all those beeps from the radar system you unhooked mean you are simply following too close! Keep behind others at 4 to 5 seconds and it will never go off. I've used one for years and it seldom goes off.
He most likely knows but down give a damn. Like jumping in the left lane when not going much faster
Enjoy, drive safe. Good for you on saving the company some money, it all adds up, hope the company appreciates it.😊
@Hello James how are you doing
Happy new truck Rusty.the view from that wrap round windshield looks so much better,Regards from the UK.
So I’m typing this mid video, with those Volvos the reason it has 4 cushions is because it can convert to a dining area the middle props up into a table and the 4 cushions turn into a bench like seat
dro good to see just read the manual the beep and flashing light are there to help you it the same VNL 860XXL for your safety
Glad you got the truck you wanted... She looks amazing
Now THAT is a truck!!! I personally think the Volvo is the MUCH nicer truck!!! Especially in the looks department cause i don't like the all chrome and in your face grille from the WS....... And nice previeuw from the truck all stickered up on those last seconds!! 😁😁👍👍
Globetrotter XL was high roof and low floor many years ago in Europe. Very nice cab with alot of space :)
@Hello Pentti how are you doing
In The Swedish versions there are buttons to choose regulare or adaptive cruise control. On the steering wheel.
“European” versions
@Hello Peter how are you doing
Glad you’re enjoying the new Volvo Rusty! Hopefully it won’t let you down like most of your trucks do. As someone who works in the Volvo truck factory in Dublin Va I can tell you all the 2020 trucks come standard with the front radar collision avoidance system now.... definitely not a fan of the radar system myself either!
That's a very hot semi truck but I love the background of the semi track but just Keep On Truckin and stay safe to all who drive semi tracks
Sweet new ride. Those 2cups are awesome. Would love one.
@Hello how are you doing
The bottom bunk is actually a table and two seats, the middle two pieces you pick up and use as the back piece and lift the table up
It's an option
@@mrfilmer9270 and his truck is speced with that option
I have been driving in Australia and I gotta say that American truck stops are a million times better than ours. Bigger, cleaner, more variety in food and shopping. Our bathrooms are third world nasty.
Plus our prime mover sleepers are significantly smaller as b doubles are the main for OTR .
Makes me wish I could drive in the USA
Congrats, Rusty on the new Volvo.safe trip.
Your Volvo is going to look sick with those lights.
Volvo is awesome..... hope you love it as much as I love mine...
I drive a Western Star and I do agree about the one cupholder situation. I would love one of those 2Cups.
Good evening Rusty, I am Isaac from South Africa and a truck driver myself. Man I wanna come and work that side as I have applied for job that side so I am waiting. I watch your video all the time and you really are do inspire me to come and work with you there man.
Yes!!! Big congrats on getting your new Volvo Rusty! Take real good care of her. Have you checked your company vehicle insurance policy regarding disconnecting the radar system? If you accidentally rear end someone will the insurance void the claim because you tampered with the truck? I don't like these systems any more than you do but you gotta be real careful, especially in good old litigious US of A!
I'm just thinking that mr rusty should only drive oldschool truck as clearly he's unable to adapt to the new safety techs in his new truck....
@@azz404607 👍👍, he also likes the left lane for the most part( with a very fresh truck)
First time I watched your videos. Thumbs Up BEAUTIFUL VOLVO!!!! Stay well Frankie L.I.

I VERY much need and want one of the 2cups things for my truck that is cool. And your new truck is bad ass. Congrats bro
@Hello Robert how are you doing
Nice video. Glad to see you back!!! Be SAFE!!
I love my volvo. It's like driving a Cadillac lol. Love the videos and be safe out there
@Hello Frank how are you doing
Sounds like the company you work for is pretty nice.
Hello rusty I'm so happy for you in a new Volvo, she looking gorgeous and I'm loving the stripes.happy truckin stay safe deuces
Congrats with the new Truck and many happy miles :-) Globetrotter were for many years the high roof cab version in Europe.. and XL was extended a bit in the height and if I recall the floor was a bit lower.. meaning this cab was build for the longest trips.. from the beginning many run them from europe to the middle east and back.. but these days people nearly require a Globetrotter just to do local deliveries..
This truck looks awesome! Every new truck has those sensors so I guess you can never find the perfect truck since you hate them so much but maybe you will get used to them after a while :)
Dude, I wouldn't disconnect the radar, if something happens and you rear-end a truck or a car or whatever on the highway, you could possibly be held liable
Talking from a person who helped Walter with his “money” problem.....
just plug it back in ezpz
I love the videos, keep up the great work! I do want to say sum tho. When I’m driving right next to a semi truck and they put their turn signal on, it scares the crap out of me because I think that the driver will try to merge into my lane while I’m right next to it. So if you and any other truck drivers that might see this, please don’t turn on ur turn signal when there is a car right next to u even tho u see them! I cant be the only driver that’s scared of this. Even though some truck drivers and normal car drivers that have the blind spot system do find the beeping noise from the blind spot system annoying, it’s for your and everyone else’s safety, and puts people like me at ease so I at least know u won’t be merging because ur truck/car will be screaming at u.
You should get satellite system on this! Dish makes a portable satellite system called the dish hopper. Much love from overseas man!!! Hope you enjoy your new globetrotter man!
Guys, I guess we will never see the Volvo rebuild series ever again 😥😪
Na, we probably will. Probably just trina make some bread first and work on other stuff

This Volvo faster than Western Star & Frightliner 👍🤘❤️
It's not.. His company is wide open and not governed at 65
Not mines. 2021 cascadia with the DD16. 😎
You need to have right combination of transmission and rear end gear ratios, you guys talk a lot but mostly air!!! 400 hp engine can move any truck at 150 mph with right drivetrain.
You can't say truck A is faster than truck B
I pick up a brand new 2021 Freightliner next Tuesday first Automatic iv ever driven the Truck itself is extreamly nice but 15 yrs of 13/15 & 18 Speed Kenworth and Classics honestly it is a great truck I can wait to pick it up
Nice Volvo. Continue to show the great west by your new brand truck. FROM BRAZIL CONGRATILATIONS
Does your company have any issues with you disconnecting any of the mentioned features on your truck?
If they didn't know about it they know now. Deactivating safety features and endangering their brand new truck, the load and the lives of other drivers because they don't like the beeping. What a cry baby.
Oh and when they take it into Volvo for whatever reason they always plug the truck in. The ECU records all the faults, when they happen, how long etc. Good way to void your warranty lol all because of a beeping.
@@DIRF04 beeping doesn’t let you concentrate so if your tired, that’s a accident.
@@Zoneeee13 beeping when tired keeps you awake and alert

@Sasha Braus It´s funny to see that Volvo sells 2021 made trucks with an, Volvo FH series dashboard, which was launched in1993.
The "new" (European) FH series which was released in 2014 is already getting, not old, but well worn.

czcams.com/video/PxKEoTJQTVo/video.html
And just to inform you why we do not have nose built and apartment sized sleepers on our trucks.
It´s all about strict total length regulations.
I´m from Sweden and our maximum total length is 25,25 meters (about 82 feet) and maximum total weight is 64 tonnes (about 141 000 lb).
This would normally have to be distributed on, at least, 7 axles.
The latter is simplified because there are other uncountable regulations (like axle distances and so on...) to follow before your combination will comply to the weight allowance.
For this simple reason we cannot have these beautiful trucks like the VNL860.
Nice truck but again be careful anything collision and DOT or company sees that radar unplugged puts you at fault automatically.
Whenever I pass Volvo truck on the freeway I always take a couple looks at it, guess it means I love them 😂
