It is easy to do.. Its more on layerd short hair.. Bangs i can cut the way he cut it with razor.. It is very easy...it is not complicated

This is exactly what I've been looking for I just didn't know how to do it so I have to wait for my front to go out a little bit again and get the right razor. I wasn't sure what this was called so I was looking under anime bangs and then I was looking under gidget bangs never even thought about looking under razor cut or vandalized Fringe.

Jaggedy. I have had pictures and every stylist wants to make me look like Betty White. That would be great if that was what I wanted. I’m 67 with white hair. I am a senior that doesn’t want the standard old lady hairdo. Really like your work. Still trying to find a stylist that will do it.
u know i'm kinda sick of explaining to hairdressers what you want. it really isn't worth it. I am cutting my own hair now and it works pretty well
I think what you mean is layerd... Because he texture the fringe using razor.. .pixe cut will also work on texture scissor but razor texture has better result because it would give you more control on length that you wanna take with un even at the edge of the hair..

@@dewinmoonl I started cutting my own hair a few years ago, too, as I figured I could do the same boring and unflattering cuts as I was being given, but for free lol.
It turns out that I have received more compliments on my hair since cutting it myself than I ever did when I paid a professional. There's something about knowing your own face-shape, hair texture and growth pattern that helps with styling I think. Would you agree?

I really love that you use a knife/blade. Its so hard in my hometown in germany to find a hairdresser that can do a haircut like this. It took me over 2 years to find someone. I went to so many hairdressers and ask around and only 2 out of 35 shops knew how to do it. Its sad.
Thats really interesting! We would think the German hairdressers would love razor cutting.

In the 80s and 90s I had no problem, but now the new hairdressers dont know how to do it.
We have to many cheap shops, you get a haircut for 10€ and you are out in 15 min.
We have over 70 hairdresser shops in my small hometown and over 50 are the cheap shops. No more quality.

I love this cut. Something I would definitely wear in my younger years. Please do a short hair probably even a pixie for mature Asian woman with salt and pepper hair. I’m trying to imagine one for myself. Since Covid I decided to ditch hair color. The lockdown period allowed me to grow my greys out. Thanks very much. I love watching your videos.

This would be good for many textures ... the only ones we would suggest staying away from would be very thin hair or possibly very thick curly hair that would bounce up from all of the texture.

Sam, can the same affect be attained with your standard (thin) cutting shear instead of this blade? I have had my fringe "vandalised" (or as I prefer to describe it, "hacked" 😏) - it was indeed more meticulous and took a little more time to finish, but to me, the ends of the hair appeared 'sharper' as a result (it is a noticeable sharpness that I prefer)...
Also, another important thing I noticed... you didn't explain that its best to section (top half / bottom half) the fringe first... in order to add a layered affect.

Yes, you could definitely do this with a texturizing shear, a deep point cutting technique, or a slide cutting technique.
I've always wondered how to do that. Thanks. For all the people being nasty, stop being so inside the box. Not every single one of your guests is going to be a blonde who wants long layers. Edgier styles come and goes, but you might as well have another tool in your tool box for when your guests ask for it.

Razor texture blade.. All of the salon has that blade... Texture blade you have more control than normal thinning texture scissor.. But if you have plan todo this on your own by advice is use thinning sccisor
