Regarding the Blur's "unless you want to tank with your wizard" point, Dwarven court mage with mercenary background and the the Might of the Iron Legion feat is excellent just for that, followed up by a Cone of Cold. That character was easily the party's MVP during the Lost Valley.
Yep, Court Mage really has a powerful defensive bonus!

IMO one important miss though - Protect vs Evil & Good. That is essentially a lvl1 Blur against Undead and Elementals (and Fey in Lost Valley, and Fiend in Palace of Ice), which you can cast on someone else. My tank is effectively invincible against those types of creatures and they are numerous in all campaigns indeed.
It can be indeed a fun spell, it's just that sadly in the main Crown of the Magister Campaign it won't do much, although it can certainly help vs some nasty Vampire bosses that shroud themselves in darkness to avoid Light penalties!

Blur can be useful early game on pact of the blade warlocks (Timekeeper grants it as a spell option) later on when you get 4th level spells you can just replace it greater invisibility
Nice! I hope you do a bg3 spell guide also. Launch date is near.
With invisibilty spells make sure you cast them last since your party needs to be able to see the target to cast other buffs on them.
I have no intention of playing Solasta, but I watch this regardless to see what I will have in BG3. There are few differences, Spike Growth is good but not as busted, Healing Word is really good because it can bring back up downed companions with a ranged bonus action. I didn't see stuff like Cloud of Daggers or Moonbeam here though. BG3 is quite stingy with Revive scrolls, but the downed mechanics mostly prevents you from needing that many.

Contagion is powerful divine spell , it’s actually continue working even on bosses with legendary resistance if they fail initial constitution saving throw, paladin with crit+smite + contagion:flesh rot = GG
But they will use legendary action to succeed on that first save.
Mind Twist use to only target enemy creatures, but after a patch or two ago, it hits all creatures.
Are you gonna be playing baldurs gate 3 when it releases?
Mate you gotta do a vid on crafting and items. I messed up my playthrough by supporting the wrong faction and making it much harder to get the best gear (crafting).
This! I had to make an excel sheet during the first playthrough to be able to optimize that properly 😅
Sparkle isn't worth taking because firebolt can also light torches, albeit one at a time

I admit I never tried it with firebolt before, using it only for damage.
It's bonus action though so imo it's 100% worth it at least for casters who get a decent amount of cantrips
@@whimsical.creature How often are you needing to light torches in the middle of combat? Not worth it to burn one of your cantrips. Not to mention that the Bracers of Sparkle are extremely easy to acquire early on in both campaigns.
