- čas přidán 5. 07. 2024
- In this video a rank all 42 subclasses in Solasta by Class. This is a long one, so buckle up! I did them in alphabetical order by class. That should make it easier to scroll to the classes you are the most interested in playing.
Bring the authentic Tabletop gaming experience to your PC!
Roll for initiative, take attacks of opportunity, manage player location and the verticality of the battle field. Set yourself up for the finishing strike and possibly roll a natural 20 at that key moment of battle.
In Solasta, you take control of four heroes, each with unique skills that complement one another. Every hero expresses themselves in the adventure, making each action and dialog choice a dynamic part to the story. Players will create their heroes just as they would in a pen-and-paper game by choosing their race, class, personality and rolling for their stats.
You make the choices, dice decide your destiny.
Key Features:
An Epic Team Adventure
Discover the shattered world of Solasta: explore ruins and dungeons for legendary treasures, learn the truth of an age-old cataclysm - and stop it from happening again.
Create your very own party of adventurers with our Character Creation Tool in the classic tabletop RPG tradition. Breathe life into your heroes, and see their personalities reflected in their dialogue. Tailor your squad to your preferred strategy and maximize your party's abilities. The choice is yours.
Discover a Mysterious & Dynamic World
Delve into long forgotten dungeons to unearth ancient artifacts, but stay watchful of light and darkness: many dangers hide in the dark, but a light can attract monsters. Some enemies have darkvision, some may flee from your torch... Successful adventurers will learn to use it to their advantage.
Fight monsters in squad-level, turn-based, tactical combat. Solasta's dynamic environment offers some interesting tactical options. Bridges can collapse, leaving enemies stranded and vulnerable. Walls and columns can be pushed over - on top of your foes, if you do it right. The world is your playground.
Prepare to Think in Three Dimensions
The dungeons in Solasta are more than flat game-boards. Climb, jump, or fly around obstacles. Evade or surprise foes from above or below. Push them into chasms or drop things on their heads. Position yourself on high grounds to start the fight with an advantage.
Size also matters. Escape through narrow passages where bigger enemies won't fit and crawl through tunnels to find secret areas. Take advantage of the environment to find cover suited to your own size. Watch out, though - the monsters are also thinking vertically.
Dungeon Maker
In Solasta, the adventure does not stop after the campaign is over. Unleash your creativity and craft your own dungeons to play and share with friends with the snap of a finger using the in-game Dungeon Maker! From the room layout, monster composition and treasure the party will find - down to the decoration and lighting of each room or the music track playing - everything is decided by you.
Note that the Dungeon Maker is a work in progress and will keep being improved as time goes by, so look forward to more Dungeon Maker features in the future!

Love your work, man! Thanks for the vids.
Glad you like them! I have more coming for Solasta, there is just not enough time in the day lol. Cheers!
Great Video, thanks for the Indepth breakdown.
Glad it was helpful! Thank you Captain as always! Cheers!
One of the best videos for solasta..this game needs more like those
Appreciate the feedback. I am working on a lot of Solasta videos, so stay tuned. If you have any topics you want me to cover let me know and I will see if I can add it to my list. Cheers!
@@VaniverseGaming I d love to see a video for some items vendor have or some crafting choices
Great Video!
Glad you enjoyed it! Cheers!
24:01 "Sleep is great" maybe against goblins but not much else
Haha, well you should soften then up first before you cast it :) Cheers!
@@VaniverseGaming I mean I would prefer to just kill them outright, but to each their own. Good video overall by the way. Out of curiosity, are you most excited for bard, Warlock, or Monk with the upcoming DLC? Also which class do you think you're going to use dragonborn with first?
So I would say probably the monk or Warlock. I have never been a big fan of bards. As for Dragonborn, 100% Paladin :) Cheers!
Sleep is amazing at low levels as there's no save.
Agreed, but at higher levels it becomes less useful. Cheers!
26:05 I know it is most likely the exception but i have to say the Oath of the Motherland was very useful in my Lost Valley run with 4 Paladins (each a different oath) early on with stopping Troll regeneration with fire dmg (lvl 4-5 ish ?) and consistently with AC bonus (lvl7+).
I got the feeling the early levels are kind of a slog but once a palybros party gets rolling it is smooth sailing.
It was an interesting run XD
4 Paladins actually does sound like a lot of fun! thanks for the post. Cheers!
@@VaniverseGaming The first achievement upon starting the campaign gave me a chuckle as well: I cast fist (start a campaign without a cleric or mage)
😂m😂😂is 4k😂😂 37:42 😂 37:42

The Path of the Claw Barbarian's Breath Weapon comes back on a Short Rest
Thanks for the comment. I played through a short campaign with one, I could of swore it did not. Cheers!
I admit I was pulled in by the extra damage offered by some subclasses such as Shock Arcanist or Darkweaver. Getting 4 rays on Scorching Ray also made it easier to break enemy Concentration during a fight; such as getting spell caster that used Fly to plummet to the ground. Solasta also had me dual wielding finesse weapons on my Ranger and Rogue as needed, so classes that boost that were welcome. That was prior to DLC though; stuff like Court Mage has a big appeal.
Thank you for the feedback and comment. Cheers!
While I'm just starting a playthrough, I wonder, in any party without a druid is the Greenmage perhaps better than it seems?
Personally I think the greenmage was only added because a druid did not exist at the time. It lacks some of the best spells from the druid, and using a bow is kind of weird on a wizard when cantrips are usually stronger after level 5. Cheers!
For Paladins, I seldom use my spell slots for anything other than Smite or Shield. I find that a Paladin with a Greratsword and Devotion makes a fantastic tank. Heavy armor gives you a good AC, and when you DO get hit, you have the option to Shield it away. You can ignotr the weedy little goblin's hit and instead Shield away the big whopping boss hits. Or, if your Cleric has nothing else to do. use the spell slots on Smites for big damage with that huge frikking greatsword and task the cleric to keep you alive.
100% there are very few reasons to use spells slot for anything other than smite. Cheers!
Really think you're undervaluing the Use Item as bonus action on the Thief. It's the best subclass imho. You can use it with a Scorching Ray Circlet, Magic Missile Wand, get a party member back up with a healing potion, apply a poison, etc. This also makes it much more interesting because you have a lot more choices of what you can do, instead of only the boring attack, attack, attack. Not so much of a fan of hoodlum. If you are using martial weapons, you'll want high strength but you still want dex too. There's good finesse weapons to use so I don't see the point in doing that. Shadowcaster with blur and shield is super tanky with Blur and shield if you want to go front line.
Thanks for your reply and your opinion. With my other classes usually being Wizard and Cleric/Druid, I find the other subclasses to fit better, but I do understand what you mean about the thief & Hoodlum. Cheers!
To be fair, this game seems to focus on combat. As such, "attack, attack, attack" is baked into the experience, unfortunately. Dont get me wrong, I loved IWD, but I was expecting a bit more rpg from Solasta
@@jmmywyf4lyf play Solasta for the combat and BG3 for the Role play. The Lost valley DLC is a little more RPG then main campaign. Cheers!
@@VaniverseGaming Ghouls caress poison can paralyze almost every enemy in the gam and adds 1d8 damage. Its really easy to farm. That's better than most bonus actions any class can take.
I like hoodlum not because it's a rogue, but uses rogue kit to become a great melee fighter. They can use the rogue bonus movement kit to close gaps and bypass opportunity attacks every turn, then go smashy smashy. Most melee will spend at least a turn just getting into position. Great for hunting down casters in the back.
Hoodlum Rogue sounds like an awesome damage dealer but I'm debating if using a two hander for sneak attacks is what I want role-playing wise. Just seems like Rogues should be backstabbing with knives... Stabby stabby!
Also, isn't it problematic that I would need to put points in STR instead of DEX to use those weapons?
I do not disagree with you from a role play standpoint, but technically its called "sneak attack not backstab. You can use any weapon you want if you attack first without them seeing you lol. As for the STR vs DEX, maybe. AS a rogue you get a lot of expertise and proficiencies, so having a high dex early is important but later on not as important. It is just a nice change of pace to play a front line rogue. This is like a swashbuckler and a fighter has a baby :) Cheers!
Month old comment I know, but for roleplaying, a thug with a big weapon makes perfect sense.
A thieves den is going to need hired muscle, to protect the entrance, to perform certain jobs, like a mugging, distraction, or perhaps a slug between rival factions for control.
A thug would also fight dirty - literally with the latest update - and would know how and where to put the hurt if given a chance.
While sure they can sneak their way for that hit, they find themselves more suited to ganging up on an opponent like a... Well, like a thug.
To be the muscle of a crew, to never fight fair, and to drive fear into their enemies, that is the thug.
Battle Cleric and Oath of Judgement Pally are the Frontline monsters, Legendary Dreadnoughts. Both can haste themselves, and you can swing 4x with a pally and 4x atks with Cleric (3x you, 1x Spiritual Weapon). Marksmen Ranger is a turret that can have 3 atks, (4 if hasted). People like hunter ranger for colossus slayer, and thats great, but gets outperformed imo lvl 11-16 by marksmen.
100% agree with everything you just said. Cheers!
You missed an obscene strength from child of the rift. You can recover ALL of your sorcery points AND all your spell slots not even taking a short rest, now you will have nearly no hp, but you need toughness and high con. But then a greater restoration removes ALL the hp lost. As a Bonus They have greater restoration..... yeah..
Wow! I do not need to look at that! Thanks for the post. Cheers!
Not gonna argue with your overall sorc ranking per se, but entangle (on the mana painter) is a stupidly useful spell. You can entangle and block doors or hallways with your front liners and pretty much kill every melee mob in the encounter for free since they will just stand in entangle every round. I found myself using it even at level 8-9+
Yes that is true but you can get in on Druid and Warlock as well. Cheers!
@@VaniverseGaming true. Ultimately just depends on party comp
Agreed. Cheers!
Hi, Who do you recommend for a 4th party member? I currently have Barb tank with lowlife, Dex Paladin melee DPS/heal, Wizard Ranged DPS/Arcane caster. I'm not particularly looking or anything on the 4th slot.
So it depends if you have the new DLC or not. Base game I would recommend a 2nd ranger DPS. Rogue or ranger would be fun or a guiding bolt throwing cleric? If you have the Inner Str DLC a Bard or Warlock would fit really well I would go lord bard and fiend warlock for Ranged DPS. My absolute favorite party to run in Solasta is court mage wizard, Barbarian or Paladin 2h, swift blade ranger DW, and circle or balance Druid for healing or circle of land Druid for support and DMG.
Where are Bard, Monk and Warlock classes?
They do not come out until Nov 15th. I will make a video when they do come out. Cheers!
@@VaniverseGaming I hope the dragonborn race would come in as well.
@@vellothedreepy5930 yes, it will be in the same DLC.
I wish druids were more interesting. As someone who grew up on animorphs, I want turning into a tiger or wolf or bear to be something crazy not just a small perk.
And pets in dnd suck. They always are so lame which sucks. O well
Unfortunately Solasta does not have the rights to the Monster Manual so the list is limited. In addition the level stops at 12 and the do not have access to the Moon Druid. In tabletop Druids are awesome and can change into Giant Apes and T-Rex, and the summoned pets are beasts! Cheers!
Wow frozen on a ad.
Frozen on an Ad! What is CZcams doing lol. Sorry about that. Cheers!
