The facet duralift 9-11 psi is the best pump for a 7.3 idi, especially one with a turbo and other performance mods.

    1. Take the mechanical lift pump off and use a block off plate if the diaphragm rips in the pump your going to slowly fill your motor with fuel and kill it.
    2. People run the crankcase vent under the truck because the cdr valves are known to stick and all of your crankcase pressure is now trapped in and you will blow rear mains and other seals out.

I have used the facet pumps on my medium duty internationals with the 7.3 idi’s and it does not supply enough fuel with the truck loaded and going uphill the mechanical pump does supply enough fuel, big difference

The pump I used carry 6psi constant. Loaded or not. Factory carried under 1 psi. So huge difference. I have electronic monitoring on mine so I keep a close eye on it. Thanks gor the comment though

You can run the higher lift pump pressure on an idi and you won’t need a regulator, it won’t cause any problems.

Why u need to add regulator in the return line when u increase size of the line? I’m lookin to put bigger line in mine soon but didn’t know I need a regulator. Unless I’m missing something or misunderstood

No regulator needed. I just up pressure tune injection pump and watch exhaust temp.1100 is about as hot as u want to get before u start cooking/melting things internally

Also look at gph flow rate and can push up to 11psi
