ok everyone talks ab her acting in coven but can I draw attention to her in asylum? she literally played such a raw, emotional character so well and I feel like no one ever gives her credit for that. Even the way she was portrayed physically was amazing.

to the people who is saying she is underrated... she's really not. She has been in iconic movies and won oscars. most of all, she is respected in hollywood for her acting. and after AHS, she has become extremely popular among the younger people while most of her peers have lost fame.

The reason I love American Horror Story is because of her. She just draws you in, man. True talent. She’s just so beautiful, and her acting is actually EXTREMELY believable. Like in season 4 (Freak Show) She showed so many different emotions, and made US feel so many emotions. It’s hard to explain unless you’re a fan of AHS, and most importantly, Jessica Lange.
She could literally talk about cheese and crackers for hours on end and I'd still listen to every single bit of it.

My mom showed me Tootsie as a kid, and the writing and performances ruined me for most of the comedies that came afterwards. It was just so smart, never played for the laugh but at the same time SO funny. And she is one of the absolute breakout performances in that movie. She's just so good in everything she's in.

I recently finished watching AHS Asylum, and Jessica Lange really deserves ALL the recognition she can get for her performance as Sister Judy. She is amazing.
She didn’t make it modeling? She’s gorgeous now and even then she was stunning.
Hard reality: her type wasn't what they wanted in Supermodels then. In current times we are much better at broadening out our choices of beauty but she doesn't match what they wanted back then.
She was gorgeous, but she wasn't quite model-perfect. Her teeth, maybe. There was like an imperfection or something in her beauty that actually allowed her to be a real dramatic actress.
I've seen pics of her back then. She was as skinny as Twiggy but definitely not the "face" they were promoting back then. Which is silly because she was drop-dead gorgeous back then... and now.

There's one movie no one ever talks about -- no one even seems to know it exists -- but it is a brilliant film and it contains one of Jessica Lange's greatest performances. It is called Music Box.
Jessica IS AHS. When she played in Coven there was nothing or no one better who could have topped it. She is amazing, there is no other way to describe it. The show hasn’t been the same without her.
