I cannot BELIEVE this interviewer called the disabled actors "freaks" when he's talking about them outside of the show, in the show they play the role of the freak and that's what they were known as in that era but in the real world disabled people are not freaks and in this day and age should not be branded that way. don't know if anyone else picked up on that it just pissed me off
I love the interviews with the cast and the majority of the "freaks" took pride in that description. Freak means different and unique. "Disabled" is kind of a rude description too if you really really think about it.

Brilliantly talented! Her body language shifts slightly at 2:20 minutes into the interview when he says 'freaks', she's also thrown off and looses what she intended to say. This says a lot of about what type of person she is with regard to her tolerance. Massive AhS fan! Cannot wait for season 5!

I don’t understand your comment... what did he say wrong? The show is called freak show, she was speaking about freak shows, and he said freaks. Which in context it was absolutely the right word. Had he said that in any other interview talking about anything else it would have been completely wrong... but here he was totally appropriate. They were speaking about who was being displayed. And yes “Freaks” were in freak shows. That was the word used at the time.. so I guess I don’t understand why you were offended
@@ash11me I know I'm late but I still think I should explain how I see it. She seemed to be talking more about the people in real life and how they have lived and been treated and since she is not talking about the show but the real life, freak is not an appropriate word to use. The word used to be the word everyone used for disabled people but it should never been used today unless it's about how they used to be called cause it's a really disrespectful and degrading term for those people
I think her best role in the show was playing Fiona Good. Coven wasn't my favorite season but i loved the character.
***** that said i was thinking about what her best role was and its honestly quite hard. not all seasons were as interesting. but i think Murder house was amazing for her character, including Conroy who was absolutely fabulous in that season.
Asylum was by far her best, and the best, Coven is so poor.

Maybe Lady Gaga will surprise us all and be amazing on "Hotel ; Ryan Murphy is a genius, and he wouldn't have added Lady Gaga to the cast if she didn't have any potential of pulling it off for the season...No one is "replacing" Jessica Lange in my opinion, and Ryan knows that... She's one of the most amazing actresses that has ever lived... I'm sure Lady Gaga will do good!! :)

I don't scare easily but American Horror Story really freaks me out. Jessica Lange is such a huge part of the reason for the sucess of this series. It's great to see her come out of the nursing home to do these projects.

Hi Kayla, I am a fan of Jessica as well. She is a mature woman and for awhile seemed to get only old woman parts. In American Horror story she is beautiful and classy again like she was when King Kong fell in love with her.
Hi! :) I couldn't agree more... Yes, Jess was only getting the older woman roles that so many women in Hollywood get once they hit age 40.. I'm glad that American Horror Story has introduced Jess to a new and younger audience... If it wasn't for Meryl Streep, (her daughter Grace Gummer has been in a few episodes of Coven and Freak Show) I wouldn't have tuned into AHS and become a fan of Miss Lange! ❤️💖 King Kong is a great movie.. Sad it was so panned by the critics.. I'm sure you've seen Frances and Blue Sky, Jess was BEYOND AMAZING in both of them!

***** Yes, it is. Saw her interviewed (not this one) and she confirmed that she's not returning - at least not this season.
***** He may very well be attempting to get her to come back, but she did state (I think it was on Ellen) that she was not coming back next season, so, we'll see. Anyway, supposedly, Lady Gaga will be taking over the lead character role when the show returns in October.

When they showed the younger version of Jessica in the King Kong Interview I was delighted that She could get to watch it! I loved her reaction too! I feel Jessica dosent watch enough of herself in scenes e.g she has never even watched AHS but I still think she's an outstanding human being in terms of Look's and Talent!
She is the epitome of class and talent! She makes AHS what it is! There's so many other things also that she has just blew the doors off like 'Grey Gardens', 'The Postman Always Rings Twice' etc...
Jessica Lange is amazingly beautiful!!! 💗 She was a stunner in King Kong and she's just as stunning or even more so now.. :) Jess makes American Horror Story! ❤️ The ENTIRE cast is just brilliant don't get me wrong (Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Naomi Grossman who plays Pepper, Michael Chiklis, and the deliciously talented Frances Conroy) ! I just couldn't imagine AHS without Jessica... Her performance in the last episode "Orphans" was just BEYOND outstanding!! Kudos to Naomi Grossman too!

It's hard to imagine AHS without Jessica Lange, but she said at the end of season #3, "I'll do one more season," and that was "Freakshow..." She gave all her fans SO MUCH, didn't she? I mean--Jessica Lange is one of those rare actors who gives 1000% in WHATEVER she appears in, on stage and screen. So--we've all got 4 great seasons of Jessica Lange doing (what I think) is some of her FINEST work, ever! But I'm greedy, too...I'd LOVE to see her in Season #5...but I'm not "writing off the show" because she's not going to be in it. I LOVE the entire cast of AHS, and I'm intrigued with what Ryan Murphy is going to do for Season #5. Given the HIGH standards he set for AHS, no doubt, it's going to be great.

Its odd in every season of AHS, you think 'You're so fucking evil, wouldn't you just drop dead? Please?!' and yet, the show's essentially pivoted around her. She's absolutely brilliant, she fits the role like a glove and my God if she hasn't deserved the two Oscars and her Emmies.
She's absolutely class and I hope to hell she comes back for another round or three.
Loved watching her as Patsy Cline in Sweet Dreams when I was a kid and have loved her ever since.

Jessica Lange and Taissa Farmiga are my favorite actresses in AHS. I think because they are largely polar opposites and the electricity sizzles in the show because of it. If Jessica is leaving AHS won't be the same :(
