    I own this combination of lenses for my zve10 mark 1 and a6700. The 11mm is perfect for my landscapes, establishing shots for video, and vlogging. The 18-50mm is on my camera most of the time and is a beast for macro shots and all around shooting. The 56mm takes care of all of my portrait shots for photography. And the best thing, is that all three have a 55mm filter thread so I can easily use my ND filters for all of them without purchasing more filters. Add the fact they are all light and compact making them perfect for travel, bro... best combination for Sony APSC cameras hands down!

    I almost bought the Sony 11mm F1.8 as my go to gimbal lens, but I opted for the Sony 10-20mm F4 lens instead. No regrets. The 10-20mm is super sharp, versatile and has been a workhorse paired with my 𝛼6700 on the gimbal. Nevertheless, I've been pining for the 11mm mainly for how fast it is. Being 2 and 1/3 stops faster than my 10-20mm sure would come in handy every now and then. 🙂

      I almost bought the 10-20mm f4 but I went for 11mm because sometimes I like to shoot astrophotography and f1.8 is perfect for that. But 10-20mm it should be also really fine lens, the fact that you can zoom from 10-20mm is pretty cool 👌

      @@endlessshorizon is the sigma 10-18 F2.8G a better option than the sony 11mm F1.8G for landscape or street photography like it is more versatile ?

      @@RajhaneJAking Sure it is more versatile, but I like it because its f1.8 so its quite good in low light and astrophotography.

    What makes a lens good for beginners? Are they easier to use or automatic? Lenses simply come in different qualities and prices whoever you are.

    • @endlessshorizon
      @endlessshorizon  Před 7 dny

      When you get into photography or videography, at first you don't know where to start, how and what lens to use, all these different focal lengths confuse many people at first. these are just basic guidelines. At first I didn't even know which lens was best for vlogging etc. Therefore, I suggest you start with these lenses and when you get more practice you start to understand what you like better. By the way, it is not necessary to buy these lenses, you can buy something similar, these lenses are not the cheapest but of high quality, you can also find cheaper ones from other companies, but the quality may not be as good. For me personally, this is a perfect middle ground between quality and price.

    Hello! I am entirely new to photography but have already found my niche in street photography and have come across the 85mm being recommended. I have a very basic apsc camera. Should I still be getting 85mm lens or a 56mm equivalent? I am not sure how that all works.

    • @endlessshorizon
      @endlessshorizon  Před 14 dny

      @@pschepps Hello mate. Well 85mm in full frame is same as 56mm in apsc. And it’s pointless to buy full frame lens for apsc camera because it will cost much more, unless you are planning to upgrade your camera to full frame soon. But I believe you can use full frame lenses on apsc and vice versa only with Sony system. 56mm is really good for portraits and detail shots for sure 👌 It depends on what you want to shoot because 56mm in small tight streets/ places will not work. For prime I would probably go with Sigma 30mm f1.4 really nice range, but there are zoom lenses like sigma 18-50mm f2.8 that would cover a great amount of range 👌 perfect for street photography in my opinion.

    • @pschepps
      @pschepps Před 14 dny +1

      @@endlessshorizon much appreciated on your detailed reply! Thank you for the clarification! I will most definitely look into 56mm range instead since I have my apsc. All the videos I see have the 85mm but they seem to have the full framed cameras (they do look cooler 😂)

    • @endlessshorizon
      @endlessshorizon  Před 14 dny +1

      @@pscheppsYeah no problem, ask any time bud. I mean it’s the same focal length 85mm FF or 56mm apsc. Just FF lenses are bigger and heavier, and cost more 😀 I use a lot 70-200mmf4 and it is FF lens, on my a6700 apsc camera. Love this combo probably my favorite one 😀
